Finally a new "stepping" for this database

When you get that 9450 for CF comparison VS 9850,and if time permitting
can you also run the FAH GPUv2 client with 2 (more) cards (at the same time)

Yeah I can do that. Won't have the Q9450 system up till monday cause I promised my girlfriend she could watch me build it...:shakes:. I've had all the parts since yesterday and its really hard to resist building it. I need to not let the intel fans get to me anymore, that system cost me a good $1400 only because I have MSDN for my operating systems. At least I'll have a use for my vapochill again after I finish the comparison.

Edit: And the system isn't just for review, I actually bought an entire Intel system. I'm tempted to run a site to make all this info for phenoms. It'll give me something to do this summer/next school year other than run.

Not a fan of double posting, but here is my new cpu stable.

Phenom 9600 @ 11.5 x 268 = 3083 1.35v cpu/1.3125v nb
Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe Bios 1101
Same stepping as before, but Cooling is air, not the vapo anymore.

Took a tad more vcore than I really wanted to use, but its what I get for needing to have the imc running as fast as it is. I'm willing to use up to 1.4v on it to get it stable at 3.15ghz, but hopefully it doesn't need quite that much. I thought the major problem so far was memory stability, but now I'm not so sure it was that.

Oldguy: I never noticed before but I have a 9600 with the same stepping as your "Godly Chip", 0745MPMW. It was the first Phenom I bought and it would barely run at 2.6 Stable... :(

I only worked on it for about a month though, bought a 96be as soon as they came out. When the SB750's come out I may give it another spin.

It doesn't hurt to keep a record of batch numbers, but I'm not sure they apply as much as they did with the X2's.

Its doing small fft's at 270x11.5 now for a whopping speed of 3105mhz. Had to bump the voltage though, its at 1.3625v/1.325v. Really need to figure out how to stabilize the memory though, unless I can get that stable its pointless to run it this fast.

Have you tried tweaking the Mem vDDQ voltage in AOD ...?

Everything I do is from the bios, I refuse to do it from windows.

270x11.5 is 4 hours stable small fft's now. I'm going to let it run for at least 8 hours.

It errored at 7 hours 7 minutes. Sadly it won't be up and running again till next week. I had to put the memory in the intel system to fidget around with it and get used to the settings. I'll be getting another set of those sticks though, they seem to work pretty well.

I miss KTE...:(

After trying to make out the numbers from the pics of my first K8 the very first thing I do when I get a chip is write down the numbers. But I don't expect anyone else to be that retentive ... ;)

Sadly I almost have the ones for all of my Phenoms memorized at this point. Just the last 4 letters for my week 810 9850 and my 9500 aren't completely memorized, but I don't remember the last time I even ran my 9500.

Naw... Your not the only one! I don't write the numbers down but I make sure I have a clean pic of every CPU before I install it! :D

Ofcourse, I only started doing that when I became a total nerd.:p:

Still have a beautiful pic of my X2 3800/Toledo (disabled cache chip) that I had to search for, it was actually a very good clocker... I paid close to $400 bucks for that chip but it was good for a 750Mhz OC... ;)

What? Are you a nerd? What sane people does not take pictures of their cpus?? :D The batch number is one of the reasons to buy cpus :yepp:

My camera just wont take those close-ups clean enough to read the numbers easily. :( But I do have a manual settings mode.

Is there a shutter-bug here that knows the right settings for a 1' shot of black on silver on black ...?

I dunno about parting with them. They did all hit 2.8ghz at 1.3v on air for me...Some just had an easier time getting above 2.8ghz;).
