9800GX2 Water Blocks...

I know that this forum probably hates Aqua Computer stuff but I got this off of their forum, translated from German to English using babelfish.

"Since we got very many inquiries, the here following info.: We will naturally offer a radiator for the new Nvidia 9800GX2 map. This will be made like the current radiators of copper. We will present and then with production will begin the new aquagrafx presumably coming week. Likewise it will give a radiator for the 9800GTX. Further information coming week"

radiator=waterblock

I'm interested to see it. I liked the look and components they used for their 8800GT block. All copper with 1/4" fittings. I probably won't buy it, but maybe, we'll see how it turns out.

i couldn't wait/afford for ek/Innovatek so ...
i contacted eleven to make 9800gx2 waterblock .

Damn! Very nice. Very interesting flow design too. So it looks like it goes down directly to one gpu, flows up around both sides, goes to the other side of the block and flows down the sides to the gpu, then up and out?

Maybe you could explain it better but it must have been complicated. Nice work.

actually, it looks like it comes down the center and onto both gpus then around the sides and one gpu then goes through the two holes in the center to the other side then out. basically it runs the two gpus in parallel from inlet to outlet.

That's correct. I was wondering how they will tacke the issue of cooling both cores equally and the pics show very well how it's done.

Oh man, the plexi center would be amazing if it had 1-2 small LED holes on the side or bottom to illuminate the whole core.

I take it that Eddy's block has a jet-type setup where the water first flows through the delrin, then through that slot right into the waves, and then around to cool the memory, and then out of the block? Nicely done Eddy, that took some serious thought.

Looks like some ppl need to be reminded of a couple things.

Speeds just a question of money, how fast do you want to go?

This is 1 block is essentially 2 full sized coolers for 1 card. Try buying 2 separate full sized cooler for that price. ;)

Yeah, there are some in questionable places, just hope they don't ship any like that.

That looks really really nice! Cant wait to get my hands on one now! LOL! Flow design is a really clever idea, running the channel down the centre to hit both GPU's at once like that!

Yes the water runs parallel through the blocks. There is one piece missing (the plate with the jet) for the other part.

The machining marks...
They are seen because of the light.
Anyway that is how the production is, I don't see any advantage if that surface would be polished. If we would cast the block there would not be any of those marks...
For me they are the sign of milling process. You will not see them because they will be facing each other when assembled.

For the Acrylic version, there will be 2 holes for the LED diodes. where d you suggest the places for LED's?

Eddy, If I may make a suggestion, try to keep the cuts in the core area to one direction. From the first pic you posted, it looks like you have multiple runs through the area (noted by red and blue), this could turn into a problem should the block ever move while machining. This is just nit picking on my part as it won't affect performance at all but, it also looks like your display block here has some rough handling marks (black) as well.
