Bad news.
My other HD642JJ died in her crib. All it says anymore is a horrible non-stop clickety-click. There was a slight performance discrepancy between the two drives in HDTach and HD Tune, wonder if that was an omen of things to come?

The serial numbers of the drives are the same save the last number: the s/n of the drive that's still alive ends in 495 and the dead one is 499 - they're almost identical twins. :D
HDTach graphs reveal a distinct difference between them, the patterns are totally different:
