And I cannot believe these yorkfield results are on the ORB, as they have very strict standards on pre-released hardware that is not available retail. Alot of legends here at XS would not even publish scores of new hardware on the first day, because it was not fair for the people getting the hardware on that day to already be competing against a score that was on a voltmodded card that was already a month or two in the hands of that bencher.

Now we are resulting to posting this crap that isn't even 3 months till retail on the orb, to claim some record? wtf? It just isnt right.

PERSONALLY I, will upload these resaults ONLY on XS and on my forum.....
We will upload on the ORB the QX6850 results......CLEAR enough?.....;)

Remember when futuremark removed all results whith Conroe from the orb before it was retail. Why is it okay now to publish score on pre realeased hardware?

Yes I have seen them.....I'm not "them".....IF you remember in "Dothan times", I posted resaults on ORB with my 780 ES, AFTER they came to retail.....;)

Actually, during O/C Event on Saturday, we may upload on the ORB some scores ONLY for 48 hours so people can see/compare the upcoming technology, and then I WILL draw them back until release date and we will discuss the resaults into forums....;)
This will be done ONLY for 48 hours and ONLY for comparison reasons, WE WILL NOT CLAIM any CURRENT WR from them.....We will JUST SHOW ppl what to expect.... :)

WE want you guys to push these cpus etc to their limits pre launch so as to judge and compare and make our upgrade descisions based on them.Hell look at the threads giving a hint of these new Yorkfields we all are begging for more.I would hate to go back to days when you had to wait for release then wait to see how they performed before buying.
And as for ORB well thats debatable but guys competing for top spot would not care if the top score was on ORB or HBot or Xtreme forums so to me it would not make a difference .As those are scores you are going to achieve anyhow whether now or later. :up:

I completely understand what you are saying, it sucks when people have access to technology the rest of us don't, but regardless a w.r. is a w.r. i don't own a thrust sst does that mean that from now on all the competitors @ bonneville salt flats have to use a "97" chevy blazer ? let's be real here even if me and you had access to the same equipment as them we would still be behind them on scores. Their experience and tweaks learned from years of benching have put them in a class of their own. since the usual characters are almost always at the top of the orb i don't think what hardware they used matters or should be decided by the masses.

George I think that after all this bad luck (power cut :( - did it actually damage the board ? :confused: ), the humidity (condense water dripping down from the ceiling - read that on a greek fora is it true ?), it's time for you to set the WR ... Although there is a slight chance, that you already crushed that with Vince and Peter in the hipro5 labs ... :D Can't wait m8, if you have results plz post them ... ;) Too bad that I wasn't there, all the guys told me that, in spite of the above mentioned, it was really fun ! :)
