The test is not done by me, I just translated the review in English. (of course I gained permission from the originator) :D

But the one in test is the retail version as far as I know, as I got mine in some days ago.

My block is still in the box, coz I am in holiday in HK right now, no watercooling stuffs in my HK home. Will test it myself some days later after I back to my working place....:D

i wonder what performance gains could be gotten if someone was to mod there fuzion mid plate with more wholes like the enzo below

None. IIRC the fuzion still has less pressure drop than the enzo block.

Does it bother anyone else that the test shown only stresses the CPU for 10 min?

Also, aren't most block reviews normally done with just the block in question, and not a full loop?

Yes 10min bothers me but WTF can I do? When I run a test of a block, I mount, let TAT run at load for 1 hour, then start recording the load for the 2nd hour. During that second hour I record ambient and water temps as well. I average all temps to get a deltaT. Then, I shutdown, remount the block and do it 4 more times...

Not sure I get your second question? I test with a 'loop'. Rad, pump etc but no GPU block.

The idea of including the copper top might not be feasible, and ofcourse I don't speak for swiftech, but that is my opinion that by adding the copper top into the basic product offer, the price is going to go up which might not end up being attractable to the end consumer.

But I will agree that the meere option or 2nd copper base + top combo block should be available which currently is NOT.

Your probably right, but it should be stated here that I was simply posting tid bits of the information I received from Mr. Chen in that interview. But you are probably right regarding the the form factor design of the MC14 when compared with the BMR-C1s.

I was extremely cautious in my post NOT to mix my words with that of what was said in the interview by Mr. Chen, hence I began the quote with "According to..." I just wanted to clarify that because I never really offered my opinion on the 2 sinks and so Ill take the opportunity to do that now.

I think the MC14 are great, but I also think the BMR-C1s are simply "greater" but in all reality both products will serve the same purpose just fine. And that ofcourse is in context to the most recent MC14s which I hear are now including better thermal tape to prevent the falling off annoyance as was reported in this forum along with many others.

So its really a matter of taste in the end as to which one the consumer likes better in terms of aesthetics and appearance you could say, be it the shiny and included extra pins of BMR-C1 or the MC14s which simply put, "get the job done."

nik, the test was done with a GPU and custom made NB and SB blocks in the loop.

You also bring up another valid point with multiple mounts, which was not done.

Can you reveal which changes have been made from the first to the second version?

Well, the round pins seems to give the lower pressure drop?
But the FuZions middle plates outlets should be suffient enough, so an increase of outlets and their size shouldn't make much difference?

The thing about the fuzion pins is they line up vertically and horizontally so the water flow from center to the outlet holes has to bounce around through all the pins to run diagonally. The enzotech version adds pins, as it increases in diameter, but there are still some straight paths to the outlet.

It's also interesting to see how tall the enzotech pins are, that's taller than I would have expected..interesting.

Anyone know how the base is manufactured ? cast or forged?

That test is not in line with my testing of the SCW-1.

I had a rev.1 block, but I don't see how much they could have changed based on those pictures... As already pointed out, 3C is not a huge improvement in air cooling, but people around here will upgrade their rad, pump, and CPU block to get a 3C reduction under load...

Hell people are willing to do that for 1C.... like me.

Yeah, I would have to agree though on the multiple mount issue. With my limited testing, I was typically seeing a 1C variability depending on my remount.

Nice looking block though, always up for some competition to put the pressure on..:up:

so long as the pressure doesnt make them cut corners with regards to product performance...

I'll be interested to see what happens when I receive a new revised block. From my communication with Enzotech, they felt that their original block was a top performer, but I found it to be not all that impressive. I guess they made some changes, but haven't gotten back to me with an updated one...
