ink is just as removable as graphite. although it does make me wonder since we're dealing with relative resistances here..
as for complately borking your proc, only if you someone manage to bridge two points you're not supposed to. for example, vcc and vss or something like that.
Well i will give this a shot I don't exactly want to use a conductive pen right now because I would have to go down to radio shack and take out some of my OCZ titanium Alpha series fund money.
But before I go though with this and post photos does anyone know if I could do this with pencil.
OR ARE THERE ANY OTHER THINGS AROUND MY HOUSE THAT i COULD USE AS CONDUCTIVE INK.
Also I was woking on just using a pecie of copper wire to jump the 2 connector wold this work if I were to put an extremely small peice of copper wire and the 2 contacts and bridged them with out touching any other contacts.
you could do that, although it'd be hard to get it to stick on the lands. what you could do is wire wrap around the lga on the socket itself and tie a knot or something and snip off the excess.
Well I am going to go for it
I am going to do this at 6 or 7 tonight
And I will post PICs when it is done
I am going to attempt a wire wrap style mod on the core 2 duo E6300 wish me luck
about the whole 6 or 7 clock thing
Thats when I get off Work
you're fired
na I work at the local bits and PCs shop from 1-5 so I am good.
Well, if recent means since Bad Axe 1 (rev. 304) and since bios 1351Quote:

badaxe has always supported 1333 thru bios...try it on a p5WDH early bios etc and you will not get a boot at 333Quote:

Ok I am about to try the 1333 FSB mod , I just saw the 400 FSB mod , Should I give this a try on my E6300 ?
read the post, cause it doesnt sound like your ready yet...Quote:

How do memory dividers behave with this mod?
With 1066FSB memory DDR2 533MHz was 1:1,
with 1333 FSB is it now 667MHz?
Is 533MHz no longer selectable any more as no dividers
below 1 are selectable (or does 533MHz just mean 1:1 divider
and now represents 667MHz with the 1333 FSB)?
Thanks for your answer,

so just to clarify on the E4300 you connect dots 2 and 5?
Yes, if in your bios, it shows "533" at 266fsb, then it's just being "friendly" in its way of saying 1:1. Since there aren't any ratios < 1:1 then it will be 667 at 333fsb. I don't personally own a board that uses the effective ddr2 moniker, so I don't know if your bios would say 533 or 667, but in either regard, it will mean 1:1 667.Quote:

I havent even checked to see what the dividers are when modded.
I will do that now...
the 680i isnt like the P5B deluxe, it uses actual dividers like 3:2 and 5:4.
for anyone else interested.
I've now done this mod about 10 times to 2 of my CPU's and everytime, it takes about 20 minutes for the ink to dry and be effective.
dont let it dry, the mod doesnt work.
the mod however, always works. 2 meg conroe, and quad core. always works.

I will do this but just need to make sure the exact dots to connect.
Can you clarify this please?
Thanks:)
I have no E4300 to test.Quote:

I can't outright buy one at the moment....
bills. food. more bills... less food. bills again.
if I had a E4300 I'd be testing all the mods I could on it.
hmm...
now I remember why I didnt test the ram dividers.
I can't.
CPUZ doesnt work on the 64 bit version of Vista.
says Driver error... then does nothing more then show the CPU speed.
all other information is blank...
Hmm I've tried the 1066 mod on my E4300 twice with some silver paint I bought off ebay and it did not work, would drying the paint using a hairdryer effect anything? :slap:Quote:
