It can always be coolder (to a certain extent), just depends on how much money your willing to spend.

You have to consider $$ for every °C you lower the temps. It gets to a point where the few °C is not worth the money.

thanks ppl! i realy didn't expect this colder with ethylene :) need to find a way to get argon, nitrogen, etc to try some mixes :)

is realy awsome to condense ethylene on vacuum hehehehe i devenitly love this hx's 2nd stage has perfect pressures

mig and tig welders use argon and can be found @ b o c here in the uk

I remember seeing pc_ice using R50 (Methane) as a 3rd stage refrigerant ages ago and he got -150c IIRC. Depends what you can get hold of though.

True, specially considering most of X6800's start to cold bug at -140ºC or less. So -140ºC full load (I don't have any doubts that Ricky will achived that) will be the sweat spot. ;)

And we can bench for hours and hours :D

I started mine yesterday but it is not good. I only tested it load on a 6800 so dont know what it did unloded. I get -114c evap idle in win and this in win

Loaded with 05 the evap is -107c.... wil tweak the cascade more on monday too try too get better load :)

I'm don't know how Nitrogen will behave in the mixture, but could it be possible to obtain a small amount of it from a paintball shop? I've heard they use Nitrogen now in some of those paintball guns. The problem would be how to get them from the cartridges into the cascade :p:
