thermal pad.
can i use thermal paste instead of thermal pad?
is water cooling sufficent?
it's probably not a good idea to watercool if you don't know that.Quote:

my cpu is water cool so i will add another water block
comparing stock cooling to wter cooling i think water cooling is better
I'm yet to volt my 7900's Vmem.
Does 935mhz at stock 2.02v, good samsung chips :D
I'm guessing that with 2.2v the mem should be able to top 1ghz or a bit more.
which is better is 7900GTO or ASUS EN7950GT?
This is not the place to talk about different graphics gards. Sorry :(Quote:

Are you talking about 7900GTO
Stock voltage is 1.82V
Stock cooler only runs @ 50%!
How to get 100%?
RivaTuner can´t change the cooler speed!
What now?
Sry, now I got it...
What temperatures have your RAMs and GPU?
Please answer!
And what are the timings samsung gave the RAM?
My results:
Stock: 780MHz
@1,85V: ~800MHz
@1,87V: 820MHz
Next voltage will be 1,89V.
I look what they can do at that voltage...
Then I edit my results.
I tried 2.26V on Bj11 and they make artifact in windows!!! strange little violet dots; now i understand why!
@ the moment i'm @ 2.08 for 950Mhz benchable... but only in 3dmark..
Need For Speed Carbon doesn't like memory clock ( artifacts= violet screen zones, colour change for tires ), i cannot use default gtx frequencies, i will try to go to 2.00/2.5V and see if it helps...
This is a 3dmark 2005...NO artifacts @ all with 3dmark

Maybe i have to raise down the second resistance, but i don't know if can help...any suggestions?
Kam
I donīt know what voltage will raise after penciling the right resistor...Quote:

Let the fan run faster.
My RAM only gets to 47°C @ 83% @820MHz.
SOLVED!
Raising down voltage to 1.95V means no artifacts in game with GTX frequencies!
I have applied some Zalman heatsinks on memories, maybe is not enough, i will try with something bigger, and with a better thermal adhesive, something like Chomerichs T411 or T412.
Thank u all!
Kam
p.s. I measured voltage with a MM, and well i'm on liquid cooling so no faster fan...
This picture makes no sense - there are three red and blue points each. Don't you only connect two? I am getting my card today and I want to do the vgpu and vmem mods both by soldering. I understand vgpu perfectly, but which is the BEST way to do Vmem mod? I need to know which two points to connect as well as what value VR to use. Thanks.
The points in the top right of the picture is just like a guide that tells you what the red and blue points are.Quote:

Yes it is.
Thank u so much!

if you what a gtx bios that works the bfg oc rev4 bios 05.71.22.34.10. i just declocked it to 800mhz mem and it works no volt mods etc.. its the only gtx bios that i found that would run without any atifacts at stock volts.
Anyone did the pencil mod ?
I have done mod with pencil. It works great
I personally prefer variable resistors. Easier to adjust up and down.
SF3D, can you put a photo of your pencil mod ? Because I didn´t fully understood where to pencil :D
Did you use a pencil or conductive ink ?
What are your mem OC now and the temps of the card, are they higher ?
If you use conductive ink, your card is fried ;)Quote:

In the picture that turquoise color is how you pencil that left resistor. Look back in thread for results. DO NOT USE conductive paint.
I can do 1940MHz now with default GTO timings (2.05V)
-Cyba Mephisto-
If you pencil that right resistor, same voltage will raise. There is no need to do that, because left resistor can do same effect.
What will happen if I pencil BOTH resistors?Quote:
