the DS3 does NOT have issues with 390 and above
you comment and your comment of the P5W booting at 425 are all RARE.
rare occassions of people not being able to boot at 390+
me i can go from default to 400mhz FSB and she boots right up.
the asus is not the same 400 was the max and remains the max that most people get. but the asus is harder to reach 400 with you have to do it in small increments. not huge leaps like the DS3
i have had both boards. so.. take my word for what you will.
the P5W DH isnt horrible but it suffers the EXACT same fate of alll other conroe boards 400mhz FSB is the limit for a 6600. a 6700 is lower and a 6800 is lower.
think of it this way.
the lower the cpu multi the higher the fsb.
but the lower the multi the less ghz your going to get.
the DS3 is the ONLY board to high 490+ UNMODDED.
the P5W DH can get close but you have to heavily mod the board to do it.
its atoss of the coin but if your not overclocking or only doing light overclocking.... the P5W DH does have more toys and bells and whistles and a much better SATA controller.
so... take that as you will.
Does the Dq6 use the same sata controller as the DS3? What controller does tha asus use compared to the D3 exactly?Quote:
