I've pretty much found that this is the limit. I've had it to 378FSB with 1 stick of memory. I've also found that increasing various voltages doesn't help matters, in fact it often makes things worse:(

Does systool work with Conroe? I really liked that program. Just have it increase 1Mhz at a time and run a small test... then backup the FSB setting when it errors and do longer tests. Great for finding approximations of stability.

I got tired of waiting on the E6600 and E6700 to become widely available and reasonably priced and picked up a E6400 from eWiz. I think I like that place.

This is only my second boot on it, I went straight for a 3.2 oc. The first boot wasn't stable at stock vCore so I upped it to 1.35. I'll do more testing and see where this tops out at.

Very nice Yraen, glad to see you posted settings as it's useful for others to compare. :fact:

I'm curious why people are setting the PCI-E Frequency to 100-110 values, does this make much difference. Most commonly 100, 101, 105 and 110.

There was a thread here a couple of months ago I read. One of those that the Xtreme guys was oc'ing in. They talked about setting it to something other that 100 to help the oc. I can't seem to find it now. I've experimented with it between 101-105 with my 805D I got to 4.2, but it didn't make much of a difference there. I'll play with it some more now as I'm currently trying to get 430fsb stable.

Did it ever come to you that responding like that makes you look like an a**hole? Just because you know something doesn't mean other people do, or know some obscure fact about two specific ATI video cards. Great way to treat someone in response to an honest question.

Just set my system up last night. Fired it up at 380mhz out of the box then moved to 429Mhz after intalling the OS. Spend a few hours loading everything up and boy this system is much "speedier" then the Opteron 165 (Ran it at 250Mhz) I switched from!
I just wanted 3Gig so I'm not sure I'll push it any more on stock Intel cooling. I did add a GlobalWin 60mm Delta 6K fan to the NB heatsink right off the bat. Good ole dual lock tape holds it on nice :eek:

What program does everyone use to check the heats? MBM is no longer so someone let me know the obvious please (Checking the bios with reboots isn't any good!)

Yeah I know your post is 6 days old now but it seems I have a pretty decent chip. Got it OEM from Tiger Direct. Keep in mind I just got it in 3 hours ago and was gone for an hour of that. ;)

E6600
Default vcore will boot and bench to at least 3.4 but is not prime stable. Currently priming at 3.3 default everything...I haven't even modded my Bad Axe yet. :woot: CPU is a week 26, A0932 on the bottom.

I suppose this nice CPU makes up for the poor ES that I got that topped out at 3150 MAX bench with 1.6v.

Here is a pic of it priming near 3.2 while I was out getting dinner and a conductive pen.
