AMD doesn't have anything on the roadmap that would come quickly enough to do this. Maybe K8L will be able to do sub 10s runs but we'll see.

So I've seen some of the x6800's that can't go over 11x. This kind of confirms the boxed version will have more upward multi? Or did I miss something?

i think its just a matter of bios/board, all x6800s have unlocked multis

Intel's gonna have one big problem....keeping the stock up, as they will fly off the shelves and out of the bins, given the sheer power and low launch pricing.
