Coolaler @ 11.266s w/ 4.53Ghz Conroe !!!

This is just getting too hilarious... I expected that Conroe would start a fire, but I never would have hoped that THIS kind of damage would be inflicted to AMD.

I'm getting myself a Conroe rig for sure, my AXP system is finally moving to the garage :toast:

Congrats on all the great achievements and hourly updated benches, I'm having a ball reading the forums lately :)

Coolalers my man, he has done more to show what the average XS member can expect from Conroe then anyone. I am more interested in raw cpu power then stripping my os. Can't figure out why you even posted something like this:slap:

Well there are different kinda "how to oc and for what" types.
I'm like coolaler - MHZ :slobber: tweaking OS? tzzz I give a f*ck on my BS, run or not to run...

Others tweak their OS, killing all unused processes, doing registry settings for certain things (the windows registry is the best feature in windows ^^) and much more to even increase the performance/MHZ factor.
Give Kyosen a chip that does 4.5GHZ and he'll do the 10s for sure...that's what M.Beier tried to say. He did not wanted to say anything negative to coolaler, nobody does this, but wanted to point out there are guys out there which don't only overclock, they tweak OS and other factors to the limit as well. And this will make the difference when everybody can put their hands on this type of processor ;)

Yes, and aint that exactly what I say??? He shows us how good these CPU's are. When tweakers get the CPU's he wont be able to keep the WR's, since he doesnt tweak..

Heh time gives me the reason: one week ago, regarding some Conroe WR, I was writing a reply (I think it was in a coolaler thread too) and I re-writed various times trying to say what M.Beier did: that this chip has a lot of potential when it falls in a bencher's hands and his WR would soon be beaten. Of course this is not disrespect for coolaler, he's doing a great job, I think for me, using air cooling, helps me more than k|ingp|ns or Kincs results because shows me what kind of results can I expect with a TTBT and a VF900Cu.

Of course noone has read my reply, because I thought it could be misunderstood an canceled it, that's why time gives me the reason :D

BTW M.Beier what happened to your X1900? :(

Condenswater hit ramblock I think, artifacts all over, Im gonna ship it in @ monday, I got a x850XT that clocks well, but atm Im using a PCI gfx, runnin' plain air with my old 3700+...

No, I meant 2 instances, each with an affinity to one of the cores. It's a normally accpted way of testing in AMD land; single SPi runs get no respect at all with dual cores over there.

I'm making no claims about anything, just asking why the "form" is so different and if any dual instance runs are going to happen?

It's funny, no sooner had I made a post asking whether someone had broken 1000fps in dragothic low detail that is was done. Now I'm wonder about lobby and car chase low detail; they're close to breaking the 1k mark.

IIRC, k|ngp|n broke 1000 fps Drago low a few months ago already.
