:D O.K. - am I wrong or are the MOSFETs placed on that board on the right side of the CPU and not as usual on the left ?

Also, are the temperature and voltage sensors actually remotely accurate on this board? It's :banana::banana::banana:ING expensive, I expect the sensors to atleast work properly unlike the S754 Lanparty's sensors.
Edit: Damn bananas.
:D BTW - I think we will ask YOU.........., and "soon" also can be many weeks !Quote:

hehe please share any differences you are noticing.
I assume a bios saviour isnt needed on this board either like it was on the NF2 right? I may reuse mine anyways just for the heck of it. Better to be safe than sorry and having two different bioses to compare to would be handy as well.
No option to boot from usb in bios although you can chose other devices.Quote:

BTW... what are the chances of getting OCZ Memtest imbedded into this bios like the 250? That would be awesome.
seems bios is going backwards ? or teething issues ?Quote:

Once this simple mod is made to the $140 LANParty UT it is 100% nVidia SLI with both slots behaving as x8/x8. There is aslo the additional option of x16/x2 dual-video.
Very nice indeed. Seems incredibly easy to do. I am sure many people are going to be getting this board instead now. I wonder if this is the 'big news' bigtoe said he was going to tell us as soon as the NDA is up?
The performance increase using 16/2 is still a lot better than a single card regardless. In far cry 16/2 is faster than 8/8.
sales of the true SLI DFI is gonna suffer because of this. But then again, they can raise the price of the Ultra chipset.

since all this stuff is coming out so soon, i really wonder why people went thru all the hassle of 939 nf3. better to sit tight on xp-m or 754
you can buy it in aus already its 270$ for the ultra D ~ 200$ usa
but like the 250gb UT i bet the price will go down, it came out at 295, then dropped to 245 which is when i got it and now its 200
wonder if there are bios differences between DFI NF4 SLI-DR, SLI and Ultra-D, wonder what would happen if you flashed NF4 SLI-DR or SLI bios on Ultra-D too heh
bigtoe,
You mentioned that the board is like geared towards TCCD ram :(
The only memory I have is some old school 3700EB which I plan on using when I go to A64. Have you tested this board out with some 3700EB and if you did, how well did it perform? Thanks.
Latest word is January 24th to 28th when they start selling on national retailer.Quote:

The BIOS appears to be the same on both boards. There are still some BIOS issues with certain mode combinations on certain BIOS Rev's, so updates are expected.Quote:

Well guys seems the big secret is out on Anandtech.
If you are wondering I can answer a few questions for you.
1 both the Ultra D and SLI use the same bios.
2 If you mod the chipset both boards are identicle apart from the SI SATA
3 The Ultra will do 16X 2X and 8X 8X dependant on what driver and if you do the chipset mod.
So...Ultra D = SLI...pretty cool eh?
