Only if you enable throttling....it typically won't though, it'll just turn off.

Most Pentium-M's can run at default speed (or just below) with just the voltage lowered. If even seen some Dothans overclocked without a heatsink on it.
However those CPUs are easier to kill, so it's better to just put a sink on it.
my laptops 750 dothan will do stock speed (1.86gig) at 1v.
so yes, they will do stock speed at far under rated voltage.
ps: thats with my laptops cooling.
I can use my fx-57 at 2.6Ghz with 1.1v on wc
2.95 with my cascade
Now while that's nice, I would have been more impressed if you had said that your 57 could do that speed @ that vcore without a hsf...lolQuote:

I can run my Dothan 740 at 2.6ghz at 1.248v real vcore (1.356v is stock) using the stock cooler. This isn't undercooling but it certainly is undervolting.

I run my 2.0ghz dothan at 1.132v. 100% stable. To bad I can't overclock my laptop :(. DAMN U DELL.
