I thought so too. Some people just don't understand what OT is. :p:Quote:

Cut that OT talk and go make a new thread under General Hardware.Quote:

can anyone tell me the difference between them ?
sli-D has Raid 0/1 and sli-dr supports dual raid, The Ultra-D is-non sli with
dxg instead.
More info read this:

im too lazy to explain more to much food on day off waiting for DFI nF4
to hit e-tailers :p:
dxg ?

SLI-DR vs UltraD = supports SLI and doesnt , thats about it .
DXG > (Dual Xpress Graphics)
goto the link explains it all.
Trans_Am.....
I think I saw a Jwalk posting at the H forums but I could be wrong.
so, do i see right, that on the NF4 Ultra-D SLI won't work instead of DXG?
Wish i had the money
I am willing to bet Nvidia did not seal itself off from the rest of the market. For now I bet they are going to take the spearhead of the SLi sales on their motherboards and then make a deal with ATI. Considering ATI is going to be using drivers for SLi and the NF4 SLi can configure for two 8x PCI lanes the ATI cards will most likely be able to work through the two 8x lanes. Just because Nvidia has a physical connector for SLi doesn't mean there aren't two ways to skin a cat. But hey, this is just MY specualtion.Quote:

zzzzzzzzzz. im darn near sick of waiting for nf4 boards :(Quote:

Antec only makes one model which is sleeved and has PCI-E support, that is the NEO. It's a whole different model, I assume they won't do it for you.Quote:

What? give me a link to that. I don't really trust tom's hardware, but that is some nice info.
yea me neither about toms hardware, which was why i was reluctant to even mention it.
the thing about the sli connector is on this same article, but here is direct link to ati and nvidia together
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/gra...rmance-32.html
Edit: maybe i was wrong about which card plays nice and which is difficult, but i know one didn't have as many problems.
I read that. Looks like they rendered 2 seperate images instead of 1 image.
I sitt cant choose:
6800GT or X850XT and this talking about SLI and ATI cards also working with SLI doesn´t make it easier :(

Has anyone here ever pre-ordered an item from ComputerHQ before? I was thinking about pre-ordering the DFI SLi but i'm not sure how it works. Will they notify me when the board comes in with info on the exact model and price before they ship it to me?
And one last measurement in UT2004 without the SLI connector hooked up, 1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF:
With SLI connector (2 cards): 153.3 FPS
Without SLI connector disabled (2 cards): 133.0 FPS
Single card (1 card): 101.1 FPS
thats a quote from the performance analysis, with ATI and nvidia they rendered two separate images, but in the UT2k4 with two 6800Gt's they rendered the same image without the SLI connector.
Skip, I see your currently running a P3. What's your next big upgrade ?
Im just glad ATI is doing it the simpler and more elegant way. God forbid if I somehow break the connector or lose it somewhere.
The difference is that Nvidia way work on any motherboard having 2 pci-E that u can plug ur grafix card on
Ati way will only work on chipset and board using their technology
Any word on when ATI will actually have their solution available?
