Actually, the PC4200EL non-Platinum and PC4000EL Rev.2 both use Hynix chips, not TCCD ...
The chips on PC4000EL Rev.2 are Hynix DT-D5's, but which chips exactly the PC4200EL (again, non-Platinum!) uses, I don't know
edit: probably the Hynix Rev. B chips, but it's just a guess.
You are right of course. The OCZ pc3200 & 3700 EL PlatinumQuote:

So the 3700EL ( OCZ4661024ELDCPE-K ? ) use Selected TCCD + BP PCB & 3200EL Rev2 ( OCZ4001024ELDCPER2-K ? ) use TCCD + BP PCB :D
I have understand it right?
So if i buy 3700 i will have better performace? ( teory )

I need a good 1 gig set that will also work good to great in my A64 setup so when i heard about Voltloving TCCD ive been trying to find out which brand/type to buy . Ive read through most of this thread by now but i'm still confused . My candidates , judging from price/availability :
-1Gb DDR PC3200 Patriot XBLK
-G-Skill PC4400 2.5-3-3-7 2X512MB (LE version)
-Muskin special 222 rev2
-Maybe the ones you linked
Sadly i'm a bit saturated with info after reading both this thread and the TCCD voltage secret one from ryan . Which one of these like the juice?
The Geil Ultra-X like Voltage! Dunno about the Oc-Wear/TCCD-Sticks!
Im very much leaning towards the G.skill after reading the last few pages of this thread . A shop nearby is selling em for 280/gig (LE) and they will receive their first batch (so it'll be a new revision for sure) 3rd of january about the same time they will get the OCZ modstream in stock . Those 2 combined will make some happy happy upgrade feelings =] . I'll just have to wait and see if they like volts and if they dont i'll just have to upgrade to 939 ;) .
or do i get the patriot XBL series for 260 and buy alot of booze with the difference in case they sucl , choices choices :|
corsair 3200xl rev. 1.2 uses pbc brainpower tccd, i have this stuff its awsome. I heard rev. 1.1 didnt do well.
What about my RAM? I havent taken off the heatspreaders to check, but this talk has me wondering if its TCCD, and what PCB
yep, what about the new corsair stuff? the xlpt(white heatspreaders) is brainpower tccd, too. has somebody tested these sticks? they are very cheap here in germany... ~ 235 euros. :eek:Quote:

310mhz in dual channel is not too bad. I'd be very interested in knowing
what it runs stable.
Here is a thread with the Gskill reaching 360fsb dual channel:
http://www.coolaler.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=34268 (Taiwan - Simplified Chinese)
And here is single 256mb Gskill running 363fsb:
http://www.coolaler.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=33542 (Taiwan - Simplified Chinese)
Both above at 2.85v & Memtest stable. :bows:
I also have the TwinX PC3200XLPT and they are good mem, but I can not put up such results as the other guys with this mem. Because my Asus A8V doesn´t like this mem and therefore I can not get by 245MHz. Relaxing the timings doesn´t matter. Relaxing the timings to eg. 2.5-4-4-10 or 3-4-4-10, will NOT help 1 singe MHz :( And I know that my board will do 270htt with some OCZ EB. I just hope that Asus will fix this in a future bios, cause beside the bad OC with my TCCD mem, it is a nice board!
Amazing there's still so many people not knowing or being ignorant about half-multipliers with A64 systems.Quote:

In possible TCCD's, Corsair XMS PC3200C@ Rev4.2 are NOT TCCD's, they are TCC5, I have three pairs and all of them are TCC5's. TCC5 are nearly as good (2.5-3-3-7, 275MHz 2.95V)
yea i have the rev 1.2, the tccd/BP
looks like the rev you have them will all be non tccd.. so its only rev 1,2 3200XL that are?
They arent XL, they are C2....
Morning :)
are these 2x512mb >
corsair CMX512-3200xlpt

Anyone know if the two PQI Turbo 3200 revisions DPU and DBU use the same revision of BP PCB? It seems the platinums are a bit cheaper but is that just because the black may appear more uber to some ppl?
hi all
did anyone try one of the following types of memory allready?
512MB x 2 (1GB) PC3200 DDR, CL2.5 (Corsair, TWINX1024-4400C25PT) <-- 256 euro
or
512MB x 2 (1GB) PC3200 DDR, CL2.5 (Corsair, TWINX1024-4400C25) <-- 258 euro
this is supposed to be very good tccd brainpower pcb ram too...
http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2312
a very nice review from anand
offcourse its very possible anand got handpicked ram,
so i was wondering if others have this ram and what u think about it?
atm im doubting between these ram:
512MB x 2 (1GB) PC3200 DDR, CL2.5 (Corsair, TWINX1024-4400C25PT) --> 256 euro
2x512MB DDR RAM Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPT --> 237 euro
2x512MB DDR RAM G.Skill PC4400@2.5-4-4 Extreme Series Dual Channel --> 247 euro
2x512MB DDR RAM GeIL Ultra X GLX1GB3200DC --> 249 euro
2x512MB DDR RAM Kingston HyperX KHX3200UL --> 220 euro
all these should be tccd
i dont want other gskill, only their cheapest fits in my budget, rest is too expensive (270,280,300 euro)
i wanted to use it with a winchester and an nforce 4 ultra (dfi?)
is that cheap kingston hyperx memory really tccd? and is it any good?
it has this code: KHX3200UlK2/1G, 1024MB 400MHz PC3200 DDR Non-ECC Ultra Low-Latency CL2 (2-2-2-5-1) DIMM (Kit of 2x512MB)

Guys, what's up with the huge price drop for OCZ rams? The 1GB kit PC4200EL Plat is going for US$205 at excaliberpc.com today. I got it for US$352 not too long ago! Another one is the PC3200 Rev2. My friend bought it for US$273 on 30 December and the price was US$205 a few days ago! Feeling sooo tempted to get another pair of PC4200EL Plat :D
guys ive been thinking...
i have the corsair 3200XLPT rev 1.2 TCCD 256*2 its currently running at 2.85V
i know there is a point where TCCD hates a certain voltage.. but id like to take my TCCD to 2.95V+ i would like to do the 3.3V cap mod.
to reduce the 3.3V cap mod voltage could i lower my 3.3V psu line? my psu has adjustable pots... thanks
ps, not sure if this is right thread?

275fsb 2.5-3-3-5 @ 2.6 vdimm and 1.5 vagp
400 passes of memtest #5. Priming at moment.
Im sure these sticks have more in them, but additional voltage increases haven't given me anything higher (thats stable).
Northbridge running extremely hot (passive cooled) so thats probably holding me back the most.
OMG, the OCZ PC4200EL Plat is now US$388!
is that expensive? srry dont live in USA
bah after having my PDP xbl for about month and a half, and wondering why it wouldnt go above about 260 with 2.5-3-3-7 with low voltage. wanted to get to the bottom of it. although i should have done this the first day i got the ram, i just didnt :p ram memtest on both sticks @ 285 2.5-3-3-7 2.85 1 passed until i stopped, other started getting errors in 3rd pass of test #5. RMA and hope to get 2 sticks like the good one i had :/
then put the "good" stick at 300mhz with 2.5-3-3-7 2.85v and didnt crash after about an hour of just doing random stuff (yes i know that doesnt mean its stable) then took em out to send back.
again this memory is mentioned for its good performance, this time by xbitlabsQuote:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mai...epox-9npa.html
In the 8x300MHz mode the frequency of the HyperTransport bus was 900MHz (3x300MHz), and the memory was clocked at 600MHz (2.4GHz / 8). The memory timings were set to 2.5-4-4-8. By the way, among the memory modules we had at hand during our tests, only Corsair CMX512-4400C25PT could work that fast (as DDR600 SDRAM).
can anyone confirm if non-picked samples of these memory are so good too?
cause then they are alot cheaper then ocz rev2 or the better gskill sticks (259 euro <--> 280/300 euro)
allthough i still think thats too expensive for me, i might still give em try of they are really that awesome...
Could you post "SPD" CPU-Z screen of each stick please?Quote:

TCCD ?
I have a set of A-Data Vitesta DDR 600 on the way.
How can i figure out if they have got the TCCD ICs or the Hynix ICs without having to install them in a system.
Or do they have the TCCDs definetly ?
The Corsair TWINX1024-4400C25 should have the TCCDs and the BP PCB as well ?
Or ist there any difference beside the heat spreader between 4400C25 and 4400C25PT
I have got a MSI K8N NEO4 and a A939 3200+ 0,90 and want to run em at 250- 2,5-3-3-6

BTW: Its great here !!!
Adata DDR600 always has TCCD to my knowledge, unless you know some Hynix that does 300mhz with that kinda volt :stick:
Well somebody mentioned in this thread he got one with Hynix and another with TCCDs. Also there seem to be ones with a green PCB with red heat spreader and ones with red pcb and read heat spreader.Quote:

I'm desperate to find TCCD dimms and the table at the first page says that OCZ P Rev2 have TCCD.
I found in an e-shop a pair of OCZ platinum. The shop claims that the latency clockings are 2,2,2,5 but it doesnot explicitly tells if these are Rev.2
(It may seem Greek to you (well...it is :D) but check it out).
http://www.mgmanager.gr/view.asp?ID=6572
Any chance they aren't?
thanks in advance :)
The part number quoted is OCZ4001024ELDCPER2-K, which is indeed the Rev 2. Also I believe the previous modules only clocked 2-3-2-6. Part number checks out tho, so looks goodQuote:

A week or two ago i bought a 2x512mb kit oc-wear tccd series from mindfactory.de for 206€ (oc-wear's own shop sells them for 219€ o.O), it has 449 tccds on brainpower pcbs (808). No chance to test it, yet..
After doing more research and talking with the Ram Guy i found that Corsair 3200xl rev 1.2 IS TCCD but DOES NOT use the brainpower pcb. It uses a proprietary PCB made by Corsair, the same stuff they use on the 4400**.
Don't think this one is on the list... (I did searches for model numbers ect and checked the confirmed list...)
Wouldn't you know it! I bought ram and wasn't even looking for TCCC and found some!

US for 2 x 512mb sticks its not to bad. rated timings are 3-3-3-8 @ ddr 400 with 2.6v will do 2.5-3-3-7 up to ddr 480 with 2.8 v but its no where in the league of TCCD. For the money you can prolly pick up Muskin blue line UTT and run tighter timings though at a cost of 15 dollars more. I took the chance hoping they would clock higher than my infineon or run tighter timings at DDR 400 but once again my infineon proves to be my best bargain bin memory to date.
Pay attention to page 1 first post and you will see TCCC listed........Quote:

XMS-PC3200C2 Rev4.x Samsung -5 TCCX (TCC4 or TCC5 or TCCD) (9 sticks)
All 3200XLs and 4400C25s are TCCDs.
I believe Shikatronics Xram High Performance pc4000 3-4-4-8 also has TCCD chips in it

Corsair XL rev 1.2 is waht you want and is good
Geil Ultra X PC3200 is BH-5 now but Geil Ultra X PC4400 is TCCD 100%.
I have tested both and the second has reached DDR 600 at 2.5-3-3-7 2.9v.
