Select few wouldn't mind cost for some added benefits, the real problem is HiPro waited too long and now there are DFI NF4 boards out there which probably did cut down half his customer base....

I am a owner of ddr maximazer and i guarantee that maximazer is a very usefull tool for the extreme overclocker. In my opinion booster sucks. I am sorry to say that but i have tested both in many motherboards under heavy load (4x512 bh5). Plus it has vtt. The volts has 0,01 stability.

NOT quite right.!.......Vdimm - as long as it will exists - will be from 1.5Vdimm and over that "1.5V" spot.......It needs at least 1.4Volts to work right.....This IS a fact.....So EVEN if in the future will be Ram modules with 1.5Vdimm as a default voltage, you will pick within the Maximizer the DDR2 config and you'll start from 1.7Vdimm in worse case......The ONLY thing you'll HAVE to buy in the future for the Maximizer will be the NEW DDR PCB that will fit in the new DDR slot and that's it.....Realy cheep PCB.....Have a nice day.... ;)

True, it was a problem with 16-bit rimms, IIRC. 32-bit ones could be used without terminators.

If its a good product, people will pay for it. If its bad, then one has the choice on not buying it. If something is worth it, why not buy it. Its like Toyota charging more for their cars because their cars are better than a lot of cars out there. People will ditch their ddr boosters if the maximizer turns out to be superior. I have my ddr booster lying on the table. Anxiously waiting for the maximizer to come out so I can pick up the ABIT AN8 without having to mod it to get higher volts. Remember, mods cannot be transferred over to another board. So in the future, If I need another volt mod, it will cost money again to have it modded. In the long run, the maximizer will save anyone without soldering skills (like me) money from paying someone 50 to 60 bucks to mod a board. Come on Hipro, waiting for ur PM telling me where to get one.

well its not something you can just do, but i took an old p2 mobo and soldered leads all over it in tough spots, eventually i became comfortable enough with it to be confident in my skills.
