About the Pi-fast page , I ment that the site is "down" .....
Try this...
http://pifast.hexus.net/pifast.php
Works from here.
No....This one is the one I've got and unfortunatelly it doesn't work.... :( Thanks anyways..... :toast:
Probably just a dead server hop.Quote:

Nice job on vr-zone:
http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/Intel/Northwood/
I done 4366 over your old 4322, and then you manage to do
4474 :slobber:
But mine 4366 is made by booting to the desktop!! My softfsb work, but do'nt upgrade the clock and the wcpuid ?
:toast:
Thanks..... :toast:Quote:

DON'T forget that ALL these(of mine) are made thanks to you....... ;) :D :toast:
The site is "up"again but hasn't been updated for over a week.
With my 61.87 sec. score i feel a kinda small.
Keep up the challange guys!
Hay some of us are busy ya know ;) Hexus has been down
due to a host move DNS has only just resolved on my slowdem
connection.
Pifast will be updated in a bit give us an hour or some to weed
out the cheaters and dodgy results then I'll put it up.

Done :)
Thank you..... :D :toast:
Playing with P4C800 + 2.4C:

ah §§§§... 0.04 behind :D
Nice score ctgilles! :toast:
Are you gonna submit it, or will you wait till you beat the no1 score?
Submitting it atm :)
I know I can already be thankful for such score at such "low" clocks... I'll retry tomorrow ;) for now, my Prommy is nearly dead, needs to regain strenght :D
Hmmm... gonna retry tomorrow tho' at a higher frequency, must be possible :D
*notices that back fan wasn't blowing*
*reaches into prommy*
*touches one of the 230V cables*
Guess you know what happened ;) Some pieces of my hand got burnt... Well, I'll still go for the sub-48 tomorrow, but will be hard with these BH5's. Guess Mushkin uses BH5 too?
Way to go ctgilles..........You're doing good......... :toast:
Noticing -3°C idle at 1.71V and 4009MHz... Think I'll refit that evaporator ;)
That's not good.....-3*C in Idle???........Take care of your Prommie M8..... :)
I know, it's nearly dead :D I'm gonna R404a it's ass and buy a new outtake fan cause this one's dead :stick:
Also, the Prometeia hose is bend really weird thanks to the AMD systems :) so I have to try to bend it good :D OMG, I'll start saving for a new prommy ;)
PS: -3°C on a IC7 is like -20°C IRL if I'm correctly?
No it's about -13*C..... ;)Quote:

But the cooling performance is the same..:toast:
If in System Properties you set the computer to ACPI instead of 'multiprocessor .....' then WCPUID should update frequency.Quote:

However this also disables HTT.
For nice looking screenshot this is just fine ofcourse.. :D
Please tell me how can run PI Fast when overclocked because it dont let me start the bech due to Overclocked CPU.....
This is not a fault from an unstable system but a warning from the app....

You just "clik" on pi-fast(.bat) which is 1K and the bench starts itself......
Well, I've been on a benchmarking hiatus recently heh, but I'm back and this is just the start :P
My 2.4C, P4P800 DLX, and new XMS3500. Everything is stock thus far.
1.600v on the core, aircooled. This would make the 3rd best aircooled score I believe on the pifast scoreboards.
I LIKE THIS BOARD! :) It seems to be giving me 5mhz fsb more stability than my 8KNXP @ stock. Another thing I'm noticing bout my setup, this chip doesn't like voltages over 1.600 on aircooling. It refuses to boot into windows @ 1.675, almost makes it @ 1.65 and 1.6250 works (but it gives me like 1.6v actually).
Anyway, I'm happy. I will be hooking up better cooling later ;)
http://www.maximumoc.com/img/hardwar...mhz_pifast.png
Also, yeah it's not stable but oo it's purdy to look at.
http://www.maximumoc.com/img/hardwar...mhz_setfsb.png
Here my personal best....57.30secs with 4.1 ...NOT v4.2
It does Superpi 1M in 40secs...
Epox 8RDA vdd modded
A Tbred @ 2480Mhz 11x225Mhz DC 2.0 2-2-11
Not bad for under 2.5Ghz ;)

Well I just got my prommy, and the 1700+ 0319 is doing ok so far...

Great work muzz!!!
Thanks brother Jeff.
Alot more to do yet, but I'm working on it...:D
BTW You didn't get yours yet?
Muzz can you give this 2.0 11-2-2 memory timing a try? Should be faster......
It's less intensive for the memory, but better scores?! Don't know why....but it works for me!
Nope... at the last second I just couldn't pull the trigger. :) Instead I bought a crap load of water stuff(which I still need for GPU/chipsets if/when I get a Prometeia) and a few other non-computer related things.Quote:

Again muzz... great job on the PiFast score... that just looks awesome!!! :toast:
That looks to me like you are going to have some fun Jeff!!
220v , I take it your using the clothes dryer plug..... heheh
GL with it mang, it'll make a great gpu chiller when your finished.
New score, but I'm running into the high fsb/high vcore problem on this NF7-S

Setting memory timings to 2.0-11-2-2 didn't improve my score.Quote:

Changing from 2.0-5-2-2 to 2.0-6-2-2 got my score just a tad better.
Best so far is 60.90 sec. @ 208*11,5= 2400Mhz
I'll pick up an slk800 saturday, hoping to get some speed out of my Xp2100. :)
By the way, nice score you got there NoStra :toast:
I did 11-2-2-2 on that first score, but for the score above 7 worked a bit better.Quote:

I'm obviously not done experimenting.........:D
still playing with it... I reckon if I get my cooling performance the way it should be, the 48 sec barrier can go. But I'm leaving on holiday so well... by the time I get back maybe the barrier is 47 :D
pifast 4.3 is out :)
http://numbers.computation.free.fr/C...ram/pifast.zip
version 4.3 makes a big difference
Last night I made this with version 4.1 nothing special by any stretch.
http://www34.pair.com/gleep/64.86.jpg
And this is today with the new version, same computer settings.
http://www34.pair.com/gleep/50.42.jpg
WTG JC !
Keep up the good work man, and have a good time on the holiday!
Pifast 4.1 is what everyone uses for the challenge, but thx for the heads up Gleep :toast:
I am still faster JC, with a higher multiplier. But I do reckon today's the last day and I think JC will be posting some great scores. JC, if you'd like you can borrow my vapo for that 9800 :) Let me know
Good work JC.......AND have a "cool" vacations......... ;) :D :toast:
Not in 3D its not faster ;)Quote:

and the thing is the new IC7 BIOS-es are better suited for low FSB. You can make the timings real right. But if you'd try to equal this with a 2.8C on an IC7 I think you'll find you have a lot of trouble even breaking 49 secs. Hell, chances arent that good that you can even do 294 5:4 :(
Yeah, I need to make sure it's gonna work, but I have a buyer for my IC7-G so :D
my personal best.
had a 50 sec flat, but didn't save it :D
well.... getting closer ... ;) The IC7 boards are faster in pifast than my P4C800 :( but on the good side the ASUS does kick ABIT ass in 3D (at least going by the IC7 I had)
If only my prom was working the way it should... but i'll worry about that when I get back from holidays :)
http://users.pandora.be/JCviggen/pifastrecord.JPG
Or 46:D ;)Quote:

I think its time to do something before Oppainter gets his Prommy back from Bowman
Here you are:: Prommy R404 caskade with Vapochill.
I put extra cooling agent on the Prommy, almost going to explode:D  very hot.
Then caskademounting the old Vapochill. At full load on the P4@3.2 at 1.85 volt the Vapochill can't go under +14 degree:flame:
Beat that.
when I come back from holiday it's time to do some serius 3D bench at that speed...

Great Pi score , and even more impressive clock speeds on the 3.2
Are those 3.2 all from Costa Rica, or from several plants just as all the other chips?
The 3.2 is from malaisia batch L317A892 pack date: 6/13/2003Quote:

Just mount it last night. The temp was jumping op and down. This morning the AS3 has stabilized. I think a few days more vill improve the contact to the CPU.
Nice :)

Unfortunatelly at 5:4 can do MAX mem frequency about 233MHz and NO go over than that...........

So, you are saying that for IC7 with 5:4 divider max FSB is 291 ?Quote:

What errors do you get above mem frequency of 233Mhz? Complete system freeze, or no POST or no BOOT?
And that is only vmem modded board?
I don't understand why my IC7 will stop working already at FSB 282(5:4)...
Excellent work Tom !!!:toast:
Yes ...... between 280MHz+ to 290MHz , you may have random reboots or freezes on a benchmark.........Above 292MHz with 5:4 Ram , no go.......It boots , goes into Windows(not all the time) and reboots,freezes,e.t.c........I just got an EPOX Canterwood Mobo to test it today..........Quote:

Hi
Sorry chaps :( Hexus got hacked so at this time the PIfast
Challenge is not available.
Luckerly nothing is lost, and as soon as I get the all clear
I shall FTP everything up to the site.
Hopefully Normality shall resume ASAP.
Thanks
(PMM)
Very sad to see that some ppl who cannot make a decent Pifast run just hack the site...very sad!
PMM, keep up yhe good work, this Pifast challenge is very competitive and keeps me busy for a while. :)
lol, the pifast is a sub domain or Hexus, they provide our
hosting for the pifast challenge, while myself & m@tt do
the updates time permitting.
I doubt they hacked it for the Pifast but well ya never know :D
The main Hexus got hacked and resulted in problems for
the sub domains.
David is on hols at the mo so I lost to whats happening,
looks like either the sub domains are defaulting or everything
got lost.
Either way I can't get into my part of the site :(
But everything is intact Pifast wise, just have to do a FTP
and any result missing in the database are in the auto
Emails it sends me when new results are submitted.
So Keep pushing I want some new records set my the time its
back up and running :D
Well oke, i improved my score, got 58.14 sec. now.
11x222=2442MHz mem.444MHz
Update :
finally under 50 sec
