Thats a sexy card!
^ question is if Nvidia can actually cover R&D cost with the cards they can sell in the professional segment. Sure, they make more profit off them, but I would guess for every Tesla they sell 10 of the fastest Geforces. There is no demand for millions of Teslas and Quadros. At least not yet.
IMO, 690's design is better. The plexi window is too large. Sexy nonetheless! :D

should have been like the lighting 480

Nup this is a crippled (limited power) ref card.... MSI please go rogue and make a Titan Lightning (Titanic ?? lol) or watch on KPC for a soldering guide soon ....
:D
I thought that AIBs could still make custom voltage tweak cards, just that NVIDIA wouldn't provide any warranty on them?
damn that big sexy dogg:clap:
Weak VRMs on these cards, such a pity :(

Titan's pcb is long as 580's one.
GTX Titan will use TDP: 250w + GPU Clock:837 MHz
BA BOOOOOOOSH!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else feel that megaton drop?
i cant wait to run this on my 1366x768 screen! lol
Clocks are a bit disappointing, but not surprising. It would have been a miracle to have 1 ghz clock with a 235watt TDP. Very impressed with the die size. Seems smaller than I would have thought.
Well there is still room for the ultra version of this card. 900 clock with 950 boost with all 15SMX enabled.
Keen to see some WBs for these :D

looking forward to the reviews of this card
When is this actually going on sale? Was the paper launch really needed?
:(
You know what's great? Watching one of these wipe the floor with an Ares 2 :)
No need to take my word for it though, benchmarks will be out soon
well it looks SICK thats for sure. One thing that bugs me to no end however is the fact that they insist on using two slots with the display connectors. Yes I do like having 2 DVI ports, an HDMI and a Display port but that means even if I watercool the card it still takes up two slots... which absolutely sucks. I would much rather have the 2 DVi's and a mini display port on my card and ditch the HDMI altogether. now if I run Quad SLI in my system I can't fit a sound card (which is a major problem) or additional GPU for PhysX (sucks but is less of a problem).
If that's not good enough, imagine two on one card? Now which manufacturer would be crazy enough to do that? I bet the performance would send 3DMark to "Mars" ;)
Man, I wish I had the available spare cash right now to get a Titan... .
Well it's 1:10AM on Monday morning and I've had more than enough fun for one weekend, cheers :)
oh I'm not worried about getting them, i could get them direct from distro or manufacturer if they are hard to come by in primary retailers. and VRM blows can be fixed with better cooling. I am not looking to set any records with these things but rather take them to the max water will allow. No LN2 or anything like that.
Cooling won't save the VRMs, but they won't blow on any clock speed you'll hit on air or water so you're safe :yepp:

at what CET time ends the embargo of reviews?
"I don't see many (if any) getting four."
I never understand these kinds of statements. Not only is the rest of the sentence absurd but the parenthetic note is basically impossible. There is no situation in which full sli/cfx benches were never shown because the card was a limited run. If they exist, hardcore enthusiasts will get them, including four of them. The only way this could possibly happen is if only three of them were made. ;)
If you have the money ready and can type reasonably fast procuring a few won't be too difficult, with places only allowing you to purchase one at a time you may be waiting a bit, but waiting just gives you time to bench with one or two while you wait to get the others. :D
Now, if only haswell were coming at the same time.
I can't really be specific but don't listen to rumors.
Once articles are posted, if there are any, I'm sure Facebook, Twitter and enthusiast forums across the net will light up like bonfires with NVIDIA and AMD fans engaging in their usual hissy fits. What basically means: you'll hear about the launch...even if you're fast asleep.
why would Amd fans engage in hissy fits? that would seem odd lol
My guess @ stock: GTX 690 performance -10%.
OC'd on water: GTX 690 performance +5 to +10%.
Everything can still be considered a guess until someone can provide tangible proof of the cards capabilities.
Anyone else squatting the NewEgg Nvidia New Product page to first catch a glimpse/order the Titan?
NCIX here :P
You guys do realize that you are basing the Newegg / NCIX / Amazon squatting based on a RUMORED date......right?
Release dates are a grey area in many cases. While any basic NDA extends an umbrella over pretty much everything, companies typically release those details themselves in the form of a countdown or something else. Before posting a release date, I typically ask....and then ask again to be certain my question was understood.
I heard today only will be "reveal day" and a preview, sort of. Real reviews come thursday. Maybe because Nvidia wants a hard launch?
Where is the official announcement ? Its 0100 AM here pacific time...
All Nvidia NDAs end at 0900 EST
0900 EST = 0600 PST. This damn sucks. Now I have to go sleep on an empty psychology... :(
Tomorrow testers will be allowed to post specs and pictures, reviews will be allowed on the 21st:

Look normal, as it is an hollidays days on USA.. And i believe most shop and other are closed.

Speaking of which, the GeForce GTX Titan doesn't have a full-coverage IHS (internal heat spreader), only a support brace.
This lets overclockers apply their TIM (thermal interface material) right on the chip die, enhancing cooling.
While the reference cooler is sufficient for normal operation, the high-end adapter is still, in the end, an enthusiast-grade piece of equipment, likely to be divested in favor of something better. In such cases, the chance to apply TIM directly to the GPU die is welcome.
Other overclocking assets are the tantalum capacitors, slimline chokes, and driver-MOSFETs (VRM with a 6+2 phase design).
Furthermore, NVIDIA tossed in a 2-pin LED logo power output (software-controllable) and a 4-pin PWM fan power output.
As for specifications, the high-end adapter, which some believe will be mightier than the GTX 690 despite having just one GPU instead of two, has enough horsepower that it needs 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connectors to work.
Twenty four 2 Gbit GDDR5 memory chips provide a total of 6 GB VRAM, for example, and the Kepler GK110 GPU has 48 ROPs, 224 TMUs and a 384-bit memory interface. The clock speeds are of 837 / 878 MHz (GPU / GPU Boost) and 6,008 MHz (memory).
Finally, NVIDIA GeForce Titan gets two SLI bridge fingers (Quad-SLI), two dual-link DVI, an HDMI port, and a DisplayPort.

I am running 2x GTX680 SLI in 5760x1200 for a year. I would like the extra VRAM and muscle of TITAN SLI to push maximum settings in surround on all games.
HOWEVER - Still using an old 32nm 6-core 980x and 12gb ddr3, also using pci express 2.0. Am I going to have any bottlenecks?
Games just don't seem to challenge the cpu/memory/pci at 5760x1200..
I really want to build a new PC from the ground up but there is literally NO point from me to change from a good 32nm 4.0Ghz 24/7 980X.
I used to build a new PC ground up from scratch every year - that 980x has lasted me longer than ANY CPU IN HISTORY - way back to the days of cherry picking Opterons, and AMD spanking Intel!!!
Anyway - any thoughts on getting 2 TITANS at launch today? Has anyone heard this limited to only 10,000 made? Is that true? 10,000 is NOTHING. I would expect Nvidia will need to make a lot more to meet demand.
Think how many CAD and render jockies on a budget are going to buy this over K20!!
I still can't see the point in upgrading from X58. At the most, the only noticable difference with CPUs happens with tri SLI, and / or when FPS are already over 100.
Preview...this "review" is all speculation and not based on actual measurements.
It says "nVIDIA GeForce TITAN Performance Vorhersage" and Vorhersage in German is "prediction" in English.
aaahhh thanks for clarifying, excuse the confusion.
That is fictional....
No problem. I was like "WTF?!" when I read it a couple of days ago :D
I would presume you could do it with Titan SLI (or 3-way or 4-way :D)
3840x2160 (native or via downsampling) + MSAA + texture mods + vram hungry game.
You said 18th :p:

dont think you can play both sides of the coin with me.. like youre doing to others..
dont try so hard to sound/come off that smart cause it aint working.. dumbarses have been saying that for a long time.. yah according to you even this is not a powerful gpu sure they all crap all the time sure according to you we dont have the ability to add another gpu a 3rd or a 4th nah nope because that pretty much sums how much you know about video cards games etc.. sure its ridiculous ingame oddities when you dont know what the fook youre doing
woooooooooooooooow yeah boy
25-30% faster than GTX 680
If that performance slide is legit, that looks incredibly underwhelming.
Impressive tri-sli performance , cannot wait for actual propper reviews :)
Not impressed by the Crysis 3 performance, which is probably already some kind of 'best case scenario' :(
