question for charles... is mM powder coated? what color? satin black or matte (flat) black?
ooh and BlueAqua... perfection! like every murderMod :)
I can answer as a m|M owner for sure that it is definitely powder-coated.
As for the finish, I would guess satin, it doesn't look all that flat to me. It seems to have just enough sheen without over-imposing on the rest of the components inside.
I love it.
That TJ-07 is perfect!!
Well done, you must be proud!
What does the average modder and you do - that seperates you from these builds? :)
Taking a Case, powdercoating it so you get what you want? That is what the murderModders get too.
Taking a sidepanel that has no window cut and make one into it ? murderModders get it out of the factory. Without backspray damage or any flaws.
And then - what else was done to your case itself that seperates it from the original so dramatically?
The rest is just interior design - same as the murderModders do.
Sorry, but I am confused that you seperate yourself from these highly skilled modders with a good taste for design.
I don't want to tell you how to think, but a little more reflection would be nice :)
you have a PM ;) read through my build log a bit more closely and you can see what I have done that you cant buy.
-Ian
P.S. please don't attack my system, I could come back here in three days with a re-cut undamaged sidepanel (only damaged in two 1/4" diameter areas currently) but it wouldn't change what you see in the pictures or what I can see in my fairly well lit dorm room.
as I said I build for my own personalization
So was it neccessary to put the build down a little?
Is there any reason to critizise someone for what he does, likes or buys?
What is the reason to critizise high level designs: To show that you are better?
I think if it is neccessary to critizise builds like that, you should hang out in 1000's of threads worldwide to critizise.
We all share the same hobby and shouldn't pick out others to show that we are better.
geeze my original point was to say that blueaqua rises above the others in an excellent and beautiful system and the beautiful photos. maybe you dont get it because of language barrier but seriously, I was giving BA extra props for doing an extra good job with it.
I doubt it was a language barrier - what I questioned is your comment that started the little discussion here. My questions should make sense - because there are simple answers to every question that you can find for yourself which might help you a lot in the future :) I hope the questions were understandable and my language barrier is not a problem.
Happy modding to all of you in this thread :)
Wow Beautiful system man!!
Nice water block on the 9800 thats sweet looking too..
stop with the prefab v home made, your both MDPC and the top tier of the community
Kirk, you work is amazing, your photos get better and better each shot (Although, they're already freakishly good!)
Keep it up man!
pump it up
Great stuff here man, I only WISH I could take great photo's like you. I'm still learning. My Nikon D40 with a tripod and a 18-105mm VR lens should be enough, but I'm just not that great of a photographer I've decided. I've had the camera for 2 months, and I'm barely any better than I used to be.. Maybe it's not my thing.. lol or maybe I need to use it daily, learn the settings more, and watch the DVD it came with. hahaha.
either way these are great builds. and MurderMod cases are just Works of Art.. simply beautiful, and yes modding is fun. and it adds a little personality to a case, but I feel that Murdermod is a mod of it's own. and weather you choose to Mod your case, or have Charles and the MM Crew of 2 do it for you, is still a mod, as it's not original as the item was intended. and it's still a personal Mod of your choice. that should not take anything away from the person. If I could afford it, I would. as I'd rather someone make my case look Stunning. rather than it just look decent.
Great work guys, and BA. you have some sweet systems there. I've seen all the pics. and I'll be trying to use some of your looks in my WC loop I'll be doing next week.
keep up the amazing work!
Thanks for the inspiring words guys. The powder coated parts are solar black.
Something else is in the works, so stay tuned.
xguntherc: If we can make one person happy with our design(s), that is more than we could ask for. Words like yours are what makes all the trouble that we sometimes face worth it - and much more :)
We need MOAR pictures. :yepp:
That TJ-07 is a stunner! I had to wipe the keyboard now and then, i just drooled all over it. :D
Don't you feel sorry it's finished now? Or is it? The most fun is in the build, seeing it progress imho.
Exquisite TJ-07 build and pics!
MOAR??? :)
Here you go, one of my little rascals.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...a/IMG_3561.png
awwww... that rascal is very cute. Love the photo.
I know I said it before, but your murderMod is inspiring (as are the others).
is that the talkative one?
I bet your cat would love this guy! Great picture, your photography skills are outstanding.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...n/DSC01369.jpg
Thanks guys. She may look like a sweetheart but she's very active and can really tear things up.
Yes skinnee, she's the loud one. Thanks for the compliments Shazza and Rocky, I aim to please.
I know I'm on the late freight...but I don't know how I missed the update.
Wow!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better. Nice work with the i7 build.
That cat has some serious lung power...its a reverse alarm clock, starts screaming when its time to go to bed.
@ShoNuff...you've been AWOL for too long!! Don't do that without checking in at the front desk ever again!
@skinee - Yes, Sir...never again! Looks like you may need me to help BA with his cat problem anyway.
@theseeker - I could always send you my PSU. I'm only 5% done. :D Everytime I sit at my desk it hurts to know I don't have time to finish it right now. Soon...very soon!
I'm glad to see you back ShoNuff. No more unauthorized absences okay?
I know you guys will hate me posting more pictures, but here I go again.

BA,
Simply beautiful! Words cannot express your build or your photography skills!!
Rock
What a stunner! I really love the white leds, is it just one row of leds or are ther more hidden somewhere?
Great shots ... I love the white, and you've done a nice job on the sleeving, lighting, loop set up, and everything else!!!
Nice shots BA and congrats on the gig with MurderMod!!!
!GASP! You weren't supposed to say anything yet! You were supposed to wait for the official announcement!!!!
EDIT: Ahh, nevermind. I just saw the updated contact page. Congratulations Kirk!!!!!:up::yepp::D
Congrats man, fantastic build AND pictures! *Claps*
Wow, that's great (both the rig and the role)!
I never hate it when more pictures are posted, it's a very nice and goodlooking build and the white tubing, almost p0n :P:
but, did you switch to i7 ?
Thanks so much guys for all of your support. Zeus, there is a single strip of white led lights actuated by the switch on the rear of the case. Oli4v, yes, that is a new i7 setup and I'm really enjoying it.
Things are looking a bit more busy in my future, but in a really good way. I can neither confirm nor deny that there will be another picture explosion thread in the near future. :toast: I hope you guys will stay tuned.
Looking good BA, love the white tubing and lights. Super clean!
Love the new shots BA!
Or should I say; Mr. Ar-tist! :)
This is one of the best looking computers I have ever seen. I honestly don't see anything that could make it look better.
Also, all of these MurderMods keep making me want to go buy one right now! The price tag would hurt though.
that is some badass white tubing
but for me blue red and a black case is bad ass
i just wish some1 made some non uv blood red since i am not gonna ever use cold cathodes
i think primochill and not feser.... um... FluidXp make Blood red that isnt uv active... look into it... i wouldnt suggest primochill, i ahd some bad experience with their uv red... but i think FluidXP hasnt gotten that many ... should i say bad remarks? anyways....
Well im very sad to see the pics stopping at page 22, i could look at these pics day in and day out.
Its definitely more than cutting a few holes and slapping some paint on.
IT'S AN ARTFORM!!!! Very impressed and cant wait to see the next project. It has inspried me on so many levels. Unfortunately my funds wont allow such an upgrade.
Carry on...:D
BA,
I am sorry to say that you are going to be penalized for not making the "Minimum Five Pics per Post" rule. :D
We need more pics! :yepp:
I could stare at this all day long. You are an artist!
Ha ha. Thanks guys. If you want me to take more pictures, I can take more pictures. Believe me, the whole thing came together a lot better than I first imagined, now it's a lot more than just a computer. If you guys want, I'll smash the "5 pictures per post minimum rule." Give me a few days and I'll have some more pictures up, maybe with some laser cats in there.
Yes. More pictures are a must. Maybe even another short video?
I want to buy murderMod part's.but I have a little money.
Unfortunately when I strapped the lasers to the kitties the wife didn't approve... so no laser cats this time.
So, as promised, the grand finale of pictures. This is it, worklog complete.

Amazing once again!
I wonder what your next project will in detail.
Stunning as usual BA! Your M|M and your photography.:up:
Absolutely a work of art.
Fantastic build BA, I look forward to your next project.
Awesome rig and awesome photography, as usual!
The best M|M build i've seen so far, truely stunning! Your Photography skills are top notch as well!
Excellent photos and build BA! Congrats!
It :rocker:
A new inspiration for many new project and a wounderful illustrated way how a dream comes true.
Keep your skill to incorporate it into the new Team of the fantastic 4 (brains)......
Great photos!!!
You done good ... real good. This is such a beautiful build, almost makes me want to join the murderMod club ;)
this build is simply amazing.....so clean and beautiful....makes me wanna sleve everything in my case! also makes me wanna get a tj07 purely for the murdermod stuff!
i gotta ask, what lense are you using?
awesome work BA!
wish my tj07 build would come a wee-bit close to your perfect project. :p:
Simply Amazing:clap:
It's gorgeous Kirk!
Congratulations on a job well done!
Fantastic work Kirk.
You have inspired HEAPS of people here with your gorgeous case/s and you awesome pictures.
aaaaah, eyecandy for everyone @ the latest pics ! :)
ART. "the use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences that can be shared with others."
You've succesfully fullfilled those criterias. Congratulations!
Great finish! I really love the way the white tubing just jumps out of the balck case (makes me really want to change my tubing).
Awesome Job and congrats!
Awesome job
i love the color contrast w/ the white tubes & the way it looks w/o clamps
photos are fantastic
Thanks guys for all of the wonderful and gracious comments. I will try to continue the trend and raise the bar when and where I can.
I'm glad you all enjoyed the photos, I probably overloaded you with them, but I guess that's just my style.
As for the camera and lens I use a Canon 30d with the EF-S IS 28-135mm lens. I'm keen to learn more about photography and acquiring a few new lens's to play with.
I dont think that it is even possible to "overload" us with photos when a rig is this beautiful.
Excellent build, and fantastic photography.
You keep raising the bar, and ill keep chearing from the sidelines!
Yeah gotta agree with everyone........pure inspiration to people such as myself
Great for the temjin   :) :D
BlueAqua, I have three questions:
1) how did you mount HDD vertically ?
2) what is that under the radiator ?
3) how you open the DVD tray ?
Excellent pictures, it looks gorgeous.
Innards are nice and clean, lovin' it.
Perhaps I can answer for BA quickly for you.
1) He used the HDD cage from the bottom of the TJ-07 and used it vertically as it fits nicely in the optical cage.
2) The radiators are mounted to the case using Murdermod Rad mounts that are sticky on the top so the rad just sits on them negating the need to make a custom mount
3) The Optical tray is opened by an ingenious systems used by Charles_Harwood and Nils from Murdermod on their Stealth faceplates. Designed for the Pioneer DVD drives, the uppermost part of the hydro cut alu has enough play to be depressed and make contact with the eject button of the drive. Works amazingly well
turtletrax, thx 4 answers, but I have next :)
1) What screws is used ?
2) Is it enywhere to buy ?
I really love your system
Nice work ;)
BlueAqua,
Love the build nice work, one question what do the temps get to with zero airflow inside the case?
Obviosuly you have all major components watercooled, but what about the minor things like hard drives, south bridge, ram etc. Just curious.
Again, great work.
Oh yeah, is that white heatshrink on the tubing?
Thanks.
Thank you. Since I'm using the northbridge block which cools the entire heatpipe assembly I haven't had any issues with motherboard temperatures. My north bridge never gets over 50C, and that to me is just fine. The hard drives are cooled with a 120mm fan directly over the top of them, no problem there. The ram is cool to the touch, I just don't think ddr3 at 1.65v gets too warm.
The tubing is Danger Den-TFC 3/8" 5/8" white tubing. I really like this tubing, along with the other various colors you can get it in. I have bought samples of each just so I could see them all. Very good stuff.
Thanks for the kind words.
Ahhhh ... just had to get my weekly fix of your pics.
I love the white on black. But I realized another thing that makes your build look so good - it's not crowded, and your sleeving is top notch. I noticed how mine improved as I kept going, but the fact that you got the sleeving so nice and tight makes it drape nicely.
amazing system, can you repost the video? can't get it to work
also, any possibility of a straight on shot of the side? and maybe some pics of the wire routing in the front?
thanks
Thanks shazza. There is room for improvement but I'm working on that right now. The next build with using the hot knife will be even better.
Thanks Ender17.
Here are the two videos, one is just some pictures but the other one shows it in operation and the lighting. Both are with the older 775 setup though.

I didn't take any pictures of the front with the face plate off. That was the power distribution and extra cable area. It was all neatly organized but it wasn't the most attractive area.
It is such an awesome, inspiring custom case Blue, I'm so impressed, and I wanna mod my TJ07 now too. :)
I love the white tubes and the black sleeving. Great job!!
Man that pc is really really nice. How do you do your mods? Do you have a laser cutter or water jet? I wish I had the money to buy such equipment. Great work, probably one of the best builds I've ever seen.
I would like to learn some techniques from this guy. Man if I could get some advice, it would really help me in my upcoming build.
Beautiful pc man!
I just didn't like any of the pictures that didn't have some sort of perspective to them so I didn't include any. Don't worry, there is something in the works soon that should include more detailed shots.
Thanks hotwaxisbad. ;)
Thanks!
:hehe:
All of the intricate cutting is done with a highly precise water jet that is surely not done by me. The case is a murdermod TJ07 complete with all the bells and whistles.
If you have any specific questions there are a ton of great people here to help. Post away.
That is such a great idea. I was actually thinking if there are local shops in my area that can do such work. I just don't know how I would present such a project. Do you draw a sketch and bring it to them or is it drawn with autocad?
I do have some ideas, but I just do not have the tools to do such a thing. Some tools I can buy locally that could cover some of the mods, but definantly not all of them if I choose to do so. And again man nice work!
Dunno if it's been mentioned before, but are the lights included in murdermod?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...a/IMG_3619.png
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/BlueAqua/Red.jpg
also, which ek res clips are you using?
Sorry if it's been mentioned and I missed it
