To anarki : back to topic :)
Have a decent link : some material to think or dream about
http://www.supercars.net/lists/topsupercars.html
My favourite would surely be the Porsche 993 Turbo (4WD / 420hp's / all-weather sports car..... :)
But if i had the money, porsche 959 (the Big brother of the 993 Turbo......)
a car for a race track : awesome chassis and old BMW M5 V8 engine......the best of the two world..........http://www.supercars.de/singlecar/7/894.html
another link : you can compare Speed and acceleration (surprise, surprise.... :p: )
http://www.supercars.de/
But ican't find the brand of the car in yuor picture.....it's on my mind but i can't remenber it.......must be spanish car??
:p:
This car is really ugly, i don't car about the engine I want great design :DQuote:

Have some news....
The air entry (ugly) upon the car is a fake.....The car was not high enough to be homologated in GT.....
Road version : 600 Hp's / 810 Nm
Race version : 650 Hp's / ?
V-Max : about 350 km/h
O to 60 : 3.4 seconds
One of the car (blue one :) was at Gum Ball 3000
Father of the car is an old Audi engineer?? also, he is the Boss of MTM...
Audi TT with Dual-engine (one on the front and the other on ther rear...car was given to be 1000 hp's.....:)

Nobody talked about this one :
http://www.edmunds.com/media/advice/...gt.f34.500.jpg
The only ford worth to buy :p :D
Or this one :
http://forum.avtoindex.com/foto/data...pur_2006_2.jpg
I saw a review on top gear and it' just amazing, it goes from 0 to 190MPH without raising an eyebrow. The guy went from 0 to 80 in a few seconds and judging from his act and talk i thought he was driving at 40! It's speed with class, there is just one bad point : the dashboard is cluttered with buttons and it's way too much
http://us1.webpublications.com.au/st...103768_2mg.jpg
I mentioned the Ford GT on page 7, tis a shame though, the pics i linked to have gone. I love the styling. GT40 is 40 years old this year, rock on!!!
G
Sorry for the double. I forgot about p7 (that was a year ago, no?)Quote:

The difference i think is that the GT and GT40 are pretty rare cars, whereas the 911 is produced in large numbers, so i think the 911 design is very boring now and in dire need of a change. A classic design originally yes, but has just been used too much IMO.
Apparently the Ford GT sees an increase in horsepower after then engine has got some miles down on the clock which a Ford engineer said was not insignificant :D
On the subject of GT40s, i went to the Goodwood revival meet last weekend and saw some amazing cars.
One race had 7 GT40s in it, you can see 3 in this pic, there were some great ones in red with a white stripe, and yellow with a black stripe as well, but you cant beat the original Gulf colours:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...oodwood003.jpg
Other highlights were the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato (centre car):
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...oodwood028.jpg
And the one thing that blew me away was the amount of Ferrari 250 GTOs! I knew this car was beautiful before i went, but it looks even better in the sunshine flying around a track. In the GT race there were 6 250 GTOs and a 330 LM Berlinetta. Bear in mind that a 250 GTO is worth in the region of £2-5million (about $3.5-9million) and a 330 LMB is about £1.3-2million ....
There were a fair few Cobras around as well.
Here is a pick of a 250 GTO closely followed by an Aston Martin DB4 GT:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...oodwood029.jpg
Whole day was very :slobber: really. :D
G
OMG, that must have been a really great experience to see those cars running. It's not everyday that you put a 5M€ car on a raceway :D. Judgind from the pics you were on the front row of the race, the sound must have astounding
It was sooo awesome, the sound of those cars is great, the rumbles of the Cobras to the almost singing of some of the Ferraris, the incredible noise of the old F1 cars (-1938 onwards), and some great racing as well, so many great cars, all being pushed to the limit (and occaisionally beyond :p: )
And you can go around parts of the paddock (or all of it if you have the right pass) and look at the machines either being polished, or tweaked and fixed.
Engine pr0n time, this is a V12 from a Ferrari 330, such an awesome piece of engineering:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...G/DSC00120.jpg
Even saw a car with a 27 Litre engine!
I love going to Goodwood.
G
holy crap that looks like its fun
My dreamcar is a '69 Corvette Stingray. I wish I had 5k because someone I know could hook me up well with one for that, but it would need a little work, and I don't have enough money for either the car itself or the work...

not the most expensive,

http://www.italiaspeed.com/2004/cars...I_gialla_2.jpg
accelerates faster than a ferrari 355 & porsche 911.
triple world champion car in rally ;)
what do you all think of this little beast?
Xyus
Cant see the pics because you cant link directly to them.
G
My favourite is definitely Audi A3 sportback 3.2 V6 quattro. love that car. Otherwise I would choose a Audi A4 avant. Man
ill have a new c6 z06 pls. And a nice phone call to lingenfelter for some turbo loving and possibly some more performance upgrades as far as handling go. Should put everything else to shame, then again that would make it a c6r or better now wouldnt it? :slobber:
If it was that easy to make a C6R or better, they would be already using your setup...there is a lot more that goes into it, and its hardly daily driver friendly like a normal vette with a few upgrades would be.Quote:

The car uses a 100L in 15min @ 400kph !!! That is is sick. And it uses 5L with just the engine on and without touching the gas pedal. Imagine how much you must spend on gas everytime you take it for a run.
The first car is planned for shipping next week.
For the story, an american bought one and he wasn't sure about the interior color so he bought a second one! Lucky bastard!
Hey antipop
Watched the Channel too.....
have been searching for a car offering almost the same specs.
have found one :
Tommy Kaïra ZZ-II.....tuned @ 950 Hp's
4WD
less than 1600 Kgs....
I'm sure she should beat the Veyron on a highway.
She's expected to reach 300 Kph in 2 sec. less than the Veyron....:)
Will find the link......
i'm not sure but you could fond it in the PS2 game GT4....
:)
McLaren baby!
I think its pretty hard to chose a dream car without having driven some of the ones that interest me.
Well I wouldent call a 850hp tt vette with upgraded suspension and internals a daily driver friendly car. But im shure if I owned one I would give it my best to drive it as mutch as possible.Quote:

Shesh way to ruin my fun :D
Here is my dream car
http://www.chevrolet.com/i/06/pic/su..._gallery02.jpg
1970 Boss 302 or 429 Mustang.
I would absolutely die if I ever got my hands on a 1969 Shebly Stang!! One of my friends has one, and I am so jealous of him! He even has an original Shelby EVERYTHING on it. It is so sexy. And my mom's partner at work has one too. Same year and everything... looks exactly the same.... but his breaks down a lot. >.< But I still love it!
Modern car? Porsche Carrera GT, all $440,000.00+ of it
Vintage? 66-67 427 AC Cobra
Actually I have quite a few, but these are the top ones:
1. Toyota Supra MK4, modded like the one in The Fast And The Furious with 544HP's+ 100HP nos shot.
2. Nissan Skyline R34 modded like the one in 2F2F.
3. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII like the one in 2F2F.
4. Shelby Mustang GT500 from 1967.
5. Dodge Charger with Hemi engine.
6. Toyota Land cruiser FJ60.
7. BMW M3 coupe.
8. BMW M5.
The Land Cruiser may seem a bit odd, but I like it a very lot plus i am buying one when I am 18 soo :D
Okay....i'll go easy....
here is the link.
http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/04/frames.htm
Go to "press" section...check the movies....
Not bad for a 50.000 pounds car....with less than 500 kgs and 300 hp's turbocharged...Honda motor :) (i LOVE high rpm's :) :)
Overtook an Honda CBR 600 (full-power...of course :)
So, forget about your shiny bentley....or your 150.000 dollars car....
Learn how to drive....first
And feel the need..to push over and over again....
Happy new year
;)
the ariel is supercharged not turbo charged. but never mind :-)
Yes graham_h : yes it is. (i suppose Graham Hill....the one :)
But i will find the difference between turbocharged and supercharged.
I know only a few ways to bring more power, those are :
Via compressor (Roots or so)
via Turbo(compressor) (Garett T series or so)
via both of them. (Lancia Delta S1)
So, what does supercharged means??
The ariel 300 doesn't sound like it's a free-aspiration engine...so what are they using to go from 220 bhp (Integra engine) to 300 hp's, especially when Honda's engines are already "accurate".
There are different types of "Superchargers". Roots, Screw, and Centrifugal are a few. Centrifugal is the same thing that a Turbocharger uses. The only difference is its run from a belt/pulley off the crankshaft. A Turbo uses exhaust gases to spool up. In the end they both do the same thing, force air into the engine at higher than atmospheric pressure (more than it would normally suck in on its own).Quote:

vw minis
like in italian job i dont think id be comfortable in a mini tho

Mini are not from vw but from bmw ;)
ferrari f50
ill settle for the latest modena
I'm buying my "realistic" dream car in a couple weeks once my insurance company finally settles on a proper value for my totaled A4.
Here is what i'm buying. :) Same color too!
http://www.audiusa.com/common/images...s4sedan_lg.jpg
I dont want a dreamcar but i want i
SUBARU IMPREZA STI full moded.
I want this
Maybe if it didn't have the wing.
Or the plastic looking wheels.
Yeah. The wing and wheels need to go. Perhaps a less umm... crappy wing would work better.
I also hate the paint. I like solid colors. Not that pearlie stuff that changes color from different angles. Its way too "fast and furious" for me.
Sitting inside feels like an airplane taking off :D but it's slower than a Radical SR3

I got to ride shotgun in one after i told the guys who ran the track that i wanted to participate in the $3100/weekend class where you drive Radicals but i was full of BS since the price was well beyond my limits by about 5 fold.
Here they were at the track...

I can't believe no one talked already about the new lamborghini murcielago the LP640
http://www.lambocars.com/hr/mur/mur640_15.jpg
It reminds me of a jet fighter, some kind if F22. It just look so agressive I'm offensed just by watching it :D
I think this link has its place here : http://www.wired.com/news/technology...l?tw=rss.index
However, why is the Enzo missing from the list? Isn't it more expensive than 400k ? Otherwise it's a bargain :D

my dream car is
audi a3 tdi sline (facelift)
The 205 T16 is a true monster (1.8L Turbo +400hp ) but owning one is pretty much impossible . It was never produced in series. Peugeot faked the omologation papers to race with it in the WRC.
Anyway, speaking of rally cars, this is my choice. Lancia Delta Integrale HF Evo II. This car dominated the WRC for a decade. You can really have a lot of fun driving one.

NoX I remember driving that car in Gran Turismo 3...
Of course, and it's also in every rally game. it's a legend!:D
Yes, for breaking :)
Fun when it all works for a change though.
Its mid engined ;)Quote:

Why is the McLaren F1 still listed as fastest with 3.4 secondsQuote:
http://www.supercars.net/garages/imprezawrx14/79v2.html
0-60 mph in 2.01 seconds
0-100 mph in 5.2 seconds
Standing quarter mile in 9.5 seconds with terminal speed 150mph
Because not enough of the (same, most of them had different bits to one another, which was weird) RS200's were produced to be classed as a production car iirc.
videos.streetfire.net
get a lil bit of this
Do you really have to be that old to buy one?
Ferrari Stradale
(or any other Modena Model)

I'd be seriously considering one of these if it gets built.

Nothing amazing. 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T.
My list is too huge for a post... but a Dauer 962... Homebrew 1996 Porsche 993 GT2 "Evo" clone, and of course my long lust.. 1972 911S/E/T
1975 Fiat 500R
I`m with Carlzor....an Eclipse. In the U.K. they`re also very rare, so it would be headturner to boot. Its nice to have something a little bit different :)
right now mines gotta be the ariel atom. ill probably get killed driving that fast but at least ill die happy
Yes... I've :slobber:ed for ~year about Ariel Atom
http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/04/press/1_large.jpg
http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/04/press/evo_3.jpg
and probably I'll be myself in atoms if I ever have that toy :D
I've always loved the McLaren F1, even though there are faster cars now.
But a ~700 HP 97-99 Dodge Viper will probably be as close as I get, at least it's something I can realistically own. :cheer2:
As for me it`s Skyline R34 or Subaru Impreza`99...
