Update:
This first is a later try, with slightly better results. Whatever was in the background stopped running. I'll leave the original test below the new one.
HD Tune: OCZ CORE_SSD Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 79.2 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 129.7 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 113.3 MB/sec
Access Time : 0.2 ms

CPU Usage : 19.7%
HD Tune: OCZ CORE_SSD Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 1.4 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 132.7 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 110.6 MB/sec
Access Time : 0.6 ms

Something was running, it was up and down bet. 125 and 100 mb/sec almost all the way out 'till the end, when something else caught it's eye.

Intel X25-M SSD 80GB. Core i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz
What is the maximum bandwidth of the ICH9R SATA controller ?
has 6 ports of 300 MB/s, in theory with RAID0 can provide 1.8 GB/s, is it only theory ? in the practice have any limitations ?
6x intel ssd x25e 250 MB/s read RAID0, total 1.5 GB/s, is it possible ?
this is my current configuration, 4x 500GB 7200.10 RAID0 Slice 32GB system, the rest for data.
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6...4xraid0pr1.png
No the ichr 9 or ichr10 controllers typically max out anywhere around 600MB/s regardless how many ports it has. You will need dedicated raid card to go faster
Six SSD's??!!...damn, expensive.

Give them a real controller and use 4+ and your system will fly... very similar to OCZ core series (Samsung-based with crappy Jmicron) but I didn't experience any unusual lags yet

WOW Nizzen!
That is the highest average read speed I have ever seen on striped mechanical or SSD drives! The only exception being a RAMdisk.
That is awesome. Good job.
I wonder if there any other raid cards besides the Areca 1680 that would allow that high of read or write speeds.

they are if you don't have anything installed on them (i.e. OS / Programs) for benching or accessing them (i.e. AV software running), under these circumstances so are traditional hard disks except instead of a slightly wavy line you get a curve going from highest read to lowest on the far side instead.

Which drives - Supertalent with Areca-Cache? (512k or 2GB?)
At write i see the typical write-deficiency of MLC. :(
Can you run read and write without cache, too? Please! ;)

Raid 0 results are all based on two drives.
OCZ core is single drive (performance was so bad I wasn't going to buy another one to see raid results).
All results are on OS based drives untweaked, apart from the OCZ drive, which was tweaked to improve performance.

No, it's really not. PCIe 1.x is 250MB/s per lane. Seeing as how all the Areca cards are PCIe 1.x x8, that means you're limited to ~2GB/s by the slot itself. 9GB/s average is simply impossible on that hardware and means one of the following:
- Benchmarks are screwing up (quite possible)
- You've got Windows setup to do insane caching, thus skewing true hardware performance greatly
- RTC slowdown
@ Particle
Napalm means 12GB/s. with MFT ;)
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=218669
Ok then. Let's just not try and pass this off as hard drive performance when it is RAM being used as a generous cache.
FYI: its not ram! it has nothing to do with pcie = xxxxMB/s  its done on the ssd!
those of you not enjoying the numbers hope you got a good rub-in/not taking the numbers for fun you really got dire issues
heres the NOTE: please dont take these numbers seriously dont want to make anyone cry :)
late purposely :D
@ FEAR - all the info is @ thread: giga ep45 extreme/ddr2/q9650 @ 4.5ghz
The data has to get to the SSD somehow, and if you're going through a controller then it very well does have to do with PCIe bandwidth.

because reason does not reach up to 1GB/s your bench ? Max 860 in HDTune :(

I just installed 2 15K Seagate 73g

Also HD Tune has a burst rate of only 85mb/s but HD Tack gives results similar to yours. Any ideas?
Thanks
