This is my second machine built from scratch, and the first I could really overclock to any great extent. The AMD 64 X2 4400+ were awful overclockers (at least mine was). I see a bunch of you hitting 3.8-4 GHz, but I am pretty happy with my 3.5. Hopefully I'll be able to do better with a little more experience, and a little bit more of picking y'all's brains through this forum. I could have never built this rig, or overclocked it to this extent without the participants here, and I thank you.

Wow... The IHS of my week 28 was far from what it should be, flat!
I applied the most be-a-utiful layer of AS5 and started testing. Reboot after reboot and couldnt get it stable. Tems were "high" but my week 23 operated at 3600MHz no prob with the same temps. Anyhow, I decided to check the contact... ONLY the edges had made contact! So I applied a drop in the middle of the CPU and temps are stunning!
CPU load @ 3600MHz ~1.42V : Probe II 45°C

Just 6h, no more... :(

crashed at 6h 15mins.
you need to run both primes at the same time and do a blend test for 8hours+ before you can say its stable imo and the second run has 1 error anywayQuote:

hi
here is my spi 1M result on my wc E6600 on P5B deluxe (bios 0711):

vcore 1.7V
VNB 1.65V
ram synch 4-4-4-10
L629, not so good :/
Also posted in the P5B best overclocking BIOS screens.
A jump in cpu voltage was need over 3.5ghz, but tonight i will be shooting for 520x7 = 3.64Ghz. That will be my final 24/7 overclock aim as load temps are reaching mid 50's, but that is with the tuniq fan at only ~50% :D
...............................
3.57Ghz stable (510x7). This is with 1.525V in BIOS, 1.48V in windows which droops to 1.46V under load. I haven't measured these directly off the board yet so is only just software readings.
This is nearly 9hrs orthos stable. plus i played an hour or two of farcry and css yesterday with no problems. Temps are reaching my personal limits at around 55 load, so i will test 520x7 tonight (3.64ghz) as my top 24/7 overclock, then will pump some voltage into the ram to reduce the timings from 4-4-4-8 hopefully down to at least 4-4-3-8, or at a push 3-4-4-8 :D

Hows this lookin? I Idle around 35C and under 100% load with TAT Im getting like 48-51C on both cores.
Ive booted into 3.6ghz and ran a high 13s to low 14s SuperPI but it wasnt stable at all runnin a Vcore of about 1.4?

no - wanted to stress the cpu on its own to know that it is stable - still tinkering around w/ my RAM Timings - plus had to switch slots for ram because I ordered the wrong fan but got it figured out and now am back at 2 gig dual channel
