Well that is exactly what I am after as well. I already compared the non modded 85.96 (original) drivers with the modded 85.96 (SLI) and it show some changes but I don't know how and if we can replicate this on the new drivers.Quote:

Lucky for me the last set work fine for me and the games I play. It would just be nice if Nvidia would just release official drivers instead of this pissing contest with Intel and AMD/ATI. Really childish if you ask me. They would sell more cards if they would just make them work officailly. We all know they will, but their marketing execs want us to buy their chipsets too.

I think we have to wait until Nvidia releases the latest driver to enable sli under Vista. After the release, Big_Sam or another genius will built the driver we need for Vista (SLI with Intel chipset). Right now only GeFo 8800 are available and ready to be modded.:cool:

The only way we have to survive is to sell out our GeFo card and pass to Ati crossfire. I started a post on Nvidia Sli forum (search for user: nickyto). Maybe we have to collect so many replies to force Nvidia to roll back its strategy about SLI on Intel chipset.

If anyone in here is a coder or wants to learn rather than wait for a driver to come out then go look up the nouveau project. It is an attempt to get Open source 3D drivers for Linux. But like some open source projects it is also possible to port them to windows. At the very least it is a learning opportunity for those relying only on big_sam to bring out drivers.
IF he was paid off by Nvidia to stop doing this then the rest of us need to step up to the plate and either A: Take over where he left off or B: Work on the Nouveau project and assist with a windows port for SLI enabled drivers. It is all about community efforts. If more than one person works on this it will get done faster than if only 1 does.

Second, the ULI patch from a while ago (ngo one to be exact)
Think that'll allow newer drivers to work in sli, or is that a lost cause now?

Second question, anyone with 2 7800 gt's and a p5b deluxe able to show/tell me there 3dmark05 score. I plan on switching to that from my rd600 which is 8X/8X.
So I am wondering what type of hit I will take from 16X/4X
also if big sam really got paid off, I don't think it'd matter, a new user by the name of like Bobfromkenmore, could like come and make the patch but really just be big sam in discuise.
Its not like the honor system can really stop someone from making a driver.

I never had 7900GS.
I very much liked 84.21 and 84.56 with 7900GTX, but it's possible there is no support 7900GS in them... I don't remember this any more.
May be it's necessary to add a line about this videocards in INF file.

I just tested your 85.96 modded drivers and it works like a charm on my system
I have an ASUS P5WD2 premium motherboard which is not SLI certified
It has an Intel 955x chipset.
I just installed 2x ASUS EN7800GT TOP SILENT graphic cards
With V90 drivers, SLI is not available in the control pannel but with the 85.96_mod drivers, it works perfectly and i get quite good performance.
I still have some questions :
- Is there any V90 or V100 driver with an SLI hack ?
- Is there a modded driver that work on Windows XP 64 Bit edition ?
- Is there a modded driver that work on Vista ?
- My system has 4x and 16x PCI-E ports. Is there a way to make them work at 8x-8x ? does it change something ?

I am ready to prove(try) configurations in windows xp x64 if someone says to me more or less since(as,like) it(him,her) it is done of the modification of the driver, for what I have seen does not have to be difficult, which happens(passes) is that I not where to begin, and to my as others we are interested in saying driver, because x64 aprobecha better the processor and the bandwidth of the memory (the management of the same one) I have two 7950gt in a plate Asus P5WDG2 WS Professional and the truth esque I have positions(places) two s.o in dual boot, and I am interested in stopping only x64, with what if someone me guide a bit I do it. I've got a DFI Infinity NFII M2/G Motherboard with two Gainward 7600GS Golden Sample. I installed the 85.96 drivers, I enabled the SLI mode but when I enter 3D mode the screen has some blue flickering and the performance isn't far from a single card. ATITool works perfect, no flickering and the framerates are increased. could you help me a bit? thanks :D
LE: 3DMark03 works ok, but the blue flickering is still there, CS Source doesn't work ok

Since the MoBo ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe (i945), which supports Intel Dual Core CPUs FSB@800Mhz, but which does not support FSB@1066MHz Dual Core Duo CPUs, I would like to know if it is an issue concerned to the driver that uncapability?, and in affermative case if there is any manner to mod the driver in order to extend to the Dual Core Duo its capability?.
Somebody knows if there already is such a modded driver?.

I just bought the 2nd Gainward 7900GS. 84.56_mod2 driver installed. I can enable SLI from the driver but my 3Dmark score remains the same.
I don't have a SLI bridge connector, buying one it will help?

Thank you, thank you, Big_Sam!:D Your modified driver is a godsend to me. You see, I have had this problem. I have a 7950GT, and I like to play Thief the Dark Project (TDP). Nvidia driver versions 9xxx and more recent do not play TDP. You get a BSOD. Nvidia driver versions of the 8xxx series and older do not recognize a 7950 GT, so they won't install. I looked high and low at Guru3D and elsewhere for a modified driver, and I could find nothing that worked. Finally I discovered a combination of an EVGA modified 84.56 and a modified INF file that I assembled myself and installed. That version played TDP, but it would not work for SLI.:( Then I stumbled on your driver. Your driver does everything I need: it installs, plays TDP, runs SLI, and has the old control panel.:) It should be a boon to Thief players, so I have posted a link to this thread in a Thief forum at TTLG.com.
