Update guys: The 3-3-3-8 667 Mhz stuff is in stock (yay!) which means I'll be contacting any of you who were involved in the 3-4-4-8 inventory debacle for replacements :)
Also, we have the 1000mhz memory in stock now as well. Good stuff!
Nicke, what voltage did you use?
2.28 for the 534 run but I don't remember 500mhz dual pi, but around 2.35v I believe.
Should this ram do 400MHz at 3-4-4-8 latencies? And how much voltage should be applied?
TankGuys, any word on a 2 x 512MB 3-3-3-8 kit yet ?
Thanks :)
Ah good point, now that you mention it, I still have to get that posted. Too many things to do, too few hours in the day :DQuote:

First post from me :D .Been a lurker for sometime and now i finally making a post.
Ok i have a question about 2X1GBTeamPC2-5300 667MHz 3-3-3-8 and 2X1GBTeamPC2-5300 667MHz 3-4-4-8.I ordered the TeamPC2-5300 667MHz 3-3-3-8 on the 26/7 and i recived them today so far all is good. But when i opened the DHL package it reads TeamPC2-5300 667MHz 3-4-4-8 on the pack and the modules say TXDD1024M667HC3 CL=3-4-4-8.So shall i keep these or return for the others?
Wht say you :D.I payed the same amount as the one i ordered.
Thanx for a great forum and regards from Sweden
I would RMA them unless u get the difference between the 3448 & 3338 sticks refunded.Quote:

Is this anything to concern?
2nd question:
With an Intel 630 I could easily do DDR2 800 with CL 4-4-4-12 (But not CL 5-5-5-12?) and Hyper Path 3 by using manual settings with the ASUS P5W DH (bios 701 and 801). Every mem ratio works fine.
Now with a retail E6400 Core2 duo the system only booting with every memory relating options set to "Auto" in bios and Hypher Path 3 disabled.
This results in poor timings (CL 5-6-6-18) and I only can select manual DDR2 800 (1:1) if I don't go higher as FSB400. In the other case I only can do "Auto" ratio which results in low frequencies. The setting and enviroment is absolutly the same (only the CPU was changed). I checked by reinstalling the Intel 630 and everything worked fine again?
Is there any idea or experience with an ASUS P5W DH (bios 701/801), the 2GB PC5300 DDR2 667 (TXDD1024M667HC3DC) and retail Intel E6400 (Stepping 6 / Revision B2)?
Does this relate to my first question (see above)?
Thanks in advance
stylist
Thanks in advance
Stylist
I have to have Hyper Path disabled using 0602 with my Step 4 E6600. 4-4-4-12-4-Disabled-Auto-Disabled in BIOS works fine up to DDR2-945 with 2.2v and using the 4:5 divider. Using the next highest divider results in booting back to stock, but the next highest diver after that, 2:3, will boot fine. Try booting with the 4:5 divider.
Also, what are you voltages set to?
As for your first question, I have a feeling that it reports that in CPUZ because the stick is 1024mb.
2 questions on the 2gb teamgroup sets:
1) The teamgroup ddr2-667 3-3-3-8 -- how high are these clocking 4-4-4-x 2.4-2.5v?
2) Team group ddr2-800 4-4-4-10 -- how high are these clocking 4-4-4-x 2.4-2.5v?
I'm debating between these and the g.skill sets...tough decision.

this was thru several different bios's.
call asus for an rma or newegg or who ever you got it from.
(do you also have no video on post issues ?)
I wonder why the same RAM works fine with my Intel 630? When I switch the CPU back to the 630 everything works fine.Quote:

Is there anyone who use the combination ASUS P5W DH - teamgroup DDR2 667 and retail Allendale/Conroe (Stepping 6/Revision B2)?

I can't select the timings manually if I use high fsb. Everything above FSB 280 will crash if I don't use the "Auto" option (use SPD timings).
It is ridicules. I know that the RAM do at least CL 4-4-4-12 with DDR800 but I can't use it. Only the SPD ("Auto") settings work with fsb400 and 1:1 ratio.
So in my opinion there are serious problem with the ASUS P5W DH and higher FSB / RAM ratio /timings.
Any idea or experience with the board? Can anyone confirm this?

see here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=519
Otherwise either the RAM or the board is buggy.

Stylist have you tried updatign the bios could be an issue there? Also I think i'd be more incline to think the board to be at fault. Test the ram in a friend system if you have someone close to you or test with a diff ram if you have some.
I tried different versions (701/801/901 -> back to 801) without any positiv result.Quote:

Ones again:
Can anyone confirm that the RAM works with the ASUS P5W DH at high FSB without any problem or without the need to use "Auto" option or SPD timings in bios?
I can only use it above FSB 280 with 1:1 and Auto what means timings of CL 5-6-6-18.

what do you think about this result?

this was the best benchable that i could have, i dont understand the rest of the timings od DDR2 so left them in AUTO.
930D (almost default, it was only to see the max on ram) + DS3
ddr840 3-3-3-8
vdim a 2,4v
note - TRAS is 8 and not 9 like cpuz show´s, is a bug.
if anyone can help to get more fsb and better timings i´ll apreciate :)

This stuff is smokin'. I've got 4x1GB sticks, and three of them are virtually identical to one another. (Fourth is about 10MHz below) Obviously have been screened very vigorously. I wasn't expecting them to be nearly as fast or as consistent.
So far I've done SuperPi 1M at 430MHz 3-3-3 and 530MHz 4-4-4 with 2.4v.
I'm loving this Team memory. It's great to see all of you having such good luck with this stuff :)Quote:

wa77ss, maybe try for 450 at CAS 3? Might actually be possible since you got single sided sticks. I have a feeling mine can do it once I get my board modded.
Btw Colbert owns. :D
wondering if anyone ordered the PC6400 4-4-4-8 vs the 3-3-3-8 stuff? Same chips, but higher bin ~ better results?
as if results are phenomenal already :D

basicly, what`s the difference in clocking
I think all the 4 chips will do 450 mhz cas 4-4-4 with 2.25 V guaranteed but I`m curious what the difference of these sticks is with cas 3-3-3-8 and all with the same voltage :)
I just ordered two of the 2x512MB 3-4-4-8 kits from Tank Guys since i need 2 gigs and that's about $50 cheaper then the 2x1GB modules and i'll get 4-way bank interleaving. The ones being sold from Tank Guys right now will still overclock to like 900-1000MHz+ won't they?Quote:

Will do 500mhz if you use the 1000 divider during stock speed without a doubt.
so I on my DS3 and that results http://img128.imageshack.us/my.php?i...bestsigyt6.jpg i will by happy and i go up 1000mhz?
Gautam, all stability testing I did was with 200 percent coverage memtest stability...hence the lower results (though that stick was still on the low side...370 3-3-3 crashed the system). I'd bet something happened in transit as the other stick wouldn't boot. :(
THat all said....even if there was no shipping problem (didn't inspect before I sent the kit to RMA to get the DOA replaced) my results are still major outliers....all sticks so far have just been GREAT :slobber:

should I use 2 x spi32 or 1 spi32 at once ? i saw few screens with double spi running
two loads more but gives worse times, due to cache sharing an stuff. So that is your decision :)Quote:

time for some little AM2+TeamDDR2 action

Currently limited by processor as I don't want to push more cpu voltage on the stock cooling. Besides, the Tforce mobo does not support DDR800 divider, yet. Still waiting for my DFI Infinity to arrive.
Anyway I did some minor Vdimm mod (pencil trick) to my mobo, multimeter reading shows 2.41v. Will try on how tight it will go at the same speed.
can anybody give me any tips on how to get a Gigabyte DS3 to even post with a DDR667 3-3-3-8 2GB kit?
as the board powers up, the fans spin and then there's a long beeeep.
after that it reboots and does the same thing over and over.
i've tried plugging in a 512mb stick of kingston and setting the frequency, timings and voltage to the rated values, but when i swap the memory for the teamgroup, it won't post and just beeeeeps at me :(
[edit] the Gigabyte DS3 is running on the F4 BIOS at the moment
