anyone know what I should set my DDR VCore to?...I have the OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 (2 X 1 GB) memory, part number OCZ4001024ELPE...I am not planning on overclocking so what is the optimal DDR VCore for best performance?...also what's the highest rated VCore for this memory?...Thanks
Ok bad news for me :(
I can't get the overvolt option to work any more. I have loaded defaults and reflashed the BIOS, but no matter what I do the vcore will not go over 1.42v and overvolting vcore does nothing :confused:
I wondered why my PC would not boot without bluescreens and the answer was the CPU was only getting 1.34v!!
This is a royal pain in the ASS to be sure.
Any ideas?? :(
Clear CMOS, remove the battery for a few mins, replace, start up see if that clears the problem up.Quote:

It's a rev 1.01 board. The overvolt was working fine and now...... nothing.
I left it unplugged overnight with the battery out and it still won't overvolt.
I should take the board out and test with my heatsink etc... but that is a real pain when you have a well installed contact on your mach II.
sigh..........
EDIT: I ran the board on my test bed with the default AMD heatsink and it would not overvolt. I have sent the board back for an RMA. Very strange that it should just stop working out of nowhere, but there you go...
I must mention that I thought rev 1.01 was the only version available. Isn't the rev 2.00 stuff floating around the web just BS? :stick:Quote:

I recently finished building a new rig with the A8N32 mobo...but when I look in the Device Manager there is something listed under "Other Devices" that says "Unknown Device"...clicking "Properties" for that item it says that the "Location" is on the PCI standard ISA bridge...and under Device status it says "The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)"...
anyone know what this device is and how to fix this?...somebody advised me that it could be because I did not install the Nvidia IDE driver that came with the nForce drivers...I chose to use the Windows IDE driver instead...also I was informed that it might be because I did not install the Marvell Yukon ethenet driver from the ASUS CD...I am using the Nvidia LAN so I did not feel it was necessary to install the Yukon driver...
anyone have any suggestions/help..Thanks
I think that if you install Asus PC Probe II the "other device" will disappear :)

Windows is recognizing my X2 3800+ as being 1.60 GHz?...the X2 3800+ is rated at 2.0 GHz...every system monitoring software (SiSoftware, CPU-Z, etc) is also reporting the same thing...is this a known problem/any way to fix this?...or do I just have a bad chip?
Anyone know how to set the Q-Fan set points - nothing in BIOS like my old SLI Prem mobo? Mine is throttling the fans and driving me crazy.
Anyone that have this board and Crucial Ballistix Z503, with this i canoot pass stable 275HTT with 2.8v at 3-3-3-10, i try so many timmings but i can do more than 275HHT stable.
Anyone can put the rigut timmings and config to push this Crucial.
I use bios 903 and FX-60.

Check in the bios ans see what the CPU multi is set at - if its 'auto' set it manualy to x10 for 2.0GHz if you mem/htt is at 200Quote:

I'm using the nForce4 AMD/Intel X16 6.85 drivers...should I use the Nvidia IDE driver or MS driver?...I have a Maxtor SATA-1 hard drive and heard there might be issues with the 2...
I'm currently using the MS IDE driver and I don't see the option to enable/disable NCQ...when using the nvidia IDE driver I was able to do this...anyone know where this option is?
From what I have read there isn't a mobo out there that runs with the mem at 1T if all the four dimms are used, it has to run at 2T even if u fill all the dimms with 512Mb x 4 it has to run at 2TQuote:
