Lots of these boards are having faults...Failure rate of the DFI nF4 SLI DR Expert was bad too........Bought 1 that worked fine, tried another 5 boards & gave up for a friend. :rolleyes:
I`m on ICFX3200 number 3 here right now since Jan 8th. :eek:
*edit* ...thats board #3 and NO voltage increases other than the RAM to 2.0v from 1.89v default.

First ICFX3200 was DOA with a C1 error code. 2nd board worked fine for 3 days on air & the only adjustment to voltages was RAM to 2.0v. Board was boxed for 3 weeks whilst building a water cooled V2000B case. Board went in, Plumbed CPU, NB, 7950GX2 graphics, 8 hours purging l8r fire up with NO LED diagnotics. Board was dead.Quote:

and could there be more options for the configuring of raid harddisk using the promise controller.. we can only use 16k
mm.. I think DFI should look onto this problems.. I'm not into benching mostly.. but I want a stable machine..
and also the vdroop issue is worsening.. a member of the official forum of DFI fix his problem by reloading his bios again..
maybe i'll do this later.. :)

Raid performance on this board is less then stellar...the Promise controller is very very slow. I would stick with the ATI controller.Quote:

The time spent getting this board ready for release was quite a long time...I have a feeling they won't be able to do a whole lot more with it which is why I moved on. Hoping they will, but don't hold your breath...Quote:

Well the RD600 sounded really badass before it was released, but with the problems being mentioned, it's probably not worth the effort, at least not for me since I'm not a hardcore overclocker.
Doesn't anybody ever learn about DFI and the crappy quality of their boards.
Their QA Dept is really poor, their Support is really poor, come people wake up and smell the coffee. Move on and buy a product from a GOOD company that has GOOD quality and support for thier products.

au contraire.....in the past 6 months i watched half a dozen asus p5b deluxe going to rma with no justification

i ear retailers talk about rma rates of gygabyte and abit.....
i have bought 2 rd 600 baords....1 can do 540 and the other 529 fsb.....
apart from the chipset cooler and the "raw" bios its a very good board
solid voltages and very good to take the most out of your ram
i just dont get why dfi would put an alloy painted cooler with a chipset that heats up like a sob
but a bios update is more than necessary

LOL OldGuy.....Funny thing is, the very first DFI board I ever had ROCKED for me too. T'was an nF4 SLI DR Expert & Opty175...the best AMD rig I have ever had the pleasure of owning & indeed the Fastest PC I had owned to it's exit date. Another 4 boards tried for a friend to no avail & identical Spec down to everything but the Lian Li case. Heck, even Quad SLI ran F.E.A.R. like I've never seen the game run..."LPB Boy"...eat your heart out! The FPS increase was awesome in that game & 3DMark totally Sucked...rofl.Quote:

What cracks me most is HDTach saying my hard drives are bursting @ 303Mb/sec rather than 97Mb/sec on the Promise, but when windows loads from the ATI headers at the alleged 303mb/sec, it takes 4 times longer to load windows??
Then when you're on the desktop, copying files is like waiting for paint to dry. :slapass:
It`s even funnier that after waiting 6 months for a motherboard that was fast developing into being a piece of Vapoware only days before it's release, That "Collective Smoke" we were all having shoved up our collective Asses has kinda blown away me trusting any other Chipset other than Intel for Intel CPU's. Hold up Bad Axe 2, I'll be right there..............
I can't do without RAID. Guess we'll see if there's gonna be any bios updates. I was afraid there wouldn't be.
Just on another note. Isnt it funny that we see Nvidia 680i based boards from nearly every mobo company except DFI. What with this and no bios updates, and the fact a little bird told me that DFI was going down the pan, im sure glad i didnt buy the RD600 and went for the Badaxe2.
I suggest everyone that owns a RD600 get onto the DFI forum and start a petition to get these problems sorted, because i dont see DFI doing anything about it any time soon.
