-chipset= go to utility and download INF , u will find the chipset drivers in that file.

Thanks I found it. Which items do I want to install during F6 now if I am not doing any sort of raid?
-Intel Storage Matrix Drivers?
-JMicron Beta Drivers?
-Which chipset drivers?
go into bios and set everything to standard (not manual or auto Overclock)
reboot ito windows and see if 16X is re enabled .
if it is the you can reboot and restore your previus overclock but make sure its stable or youll revert to 1X.
I have only installed intel raid drivers.Quote:

You dont have to install any drivers during f6 unless you have raid. You can also install it after, in windows.

Just a heads up or whatever :) I have been running my 6300 for a while now at 435 FSB - and started two days ago to get some critical HDD corruption issues, thinking the NB might not be able to hack it, at least for IDE drives - unsure how SATA would perform as I only use those as storage and haven't seen any errors yet.
Bottom line I dialed the FSB back to 375 for now to see if the corruption issues stop.
i presume you have your PCI bus locked at 33 MHz?
Set ich volt at 1.057 and Vsb at 1.6V. THis may cause by the ''auto'' voltage.
I got an answer from Asus taiwan about my PEG@1X problem :
they have never heard of it :slap:
they only answered it may come from a pcie general malfunction
except that the mb works "fine" with a GX2
they really think we're stupid...
I solved my PEG@x1 issue by setting the PCI-E clock to 105. But now I've noticed another problem. My CPU scores in 3DMark03 and '05 are extremely low. '06 seems fine as does SuperPi. I did install the chipset drivers, but did the 0711 BIOS upgrade since.

Running SLi'd 6800GS's with 84.56_mod2 drivers
Curious to see if you can actually get that flat...or the actual heatsink is mounted to the heat tube incorrectly creating a "twist"...Quote:

That is not my question, I'm not a noob, but thanks for trying. The 965 chipset supports up to 8GB of RAM, that is fact. My question is SPECIFIC TO THIS MOTHERBOARD.Quote:

Hi.
I have a problem with my system using eiher 0614 or 0711 bios. whenever I do a reboot from Windows it also shutsdown, and the same thing happens when I turn my pc on. I turn it on, it shuts down for 2 secs then power up again, this kind of thing is NOT good for my hw which get stressed. I don't know what is going on. Do u have the same?
Another thing is that both 0614 and 0711 freeze sometimes when I want to change some settings. Especially when I try to get hardware monitor reading.
Anybody?
try 0804. Np with boot or anything.. Just that damn PCI-E 1x.. hate it. Limiting my oc
you are right about changing the pcie to 105. it now says x16 for me. i got a bump on 3dmark. now at 6918
n/m it reverts when i restart.
so the solution doesn't last ? :(Quote:

Try 110mhz...that's the frequency that works for me.Quote:

I,m sure Asus knows about this and if not we should bombard thier support forums .
as a matter of fact I'll do my part now.
:toast:
have you adjusted voltages to see if you can lock it in?

alirght im starting to get pissed, this board is acting like a POS major, i cant even OC....
aight heres the deal, it will first, take FOREVER to post, i get no video for a good 1-10 mintues, then if it wants to it will boot, sometiems it wont, it jsut sits...
if it does i go into the bios, and recently, it will lock up before i can manuly set everything to defaults( like my ram timinmgs raid settings etc..... to stock speeds) and then i have to remove the battery from it to get it to post again....
it shouldnt be over heating, proc and gpu on water, and there is LOTS of good airflow, a nice 700watt ocz PSu,
im stumped, im tred of waiting 5mintues to see if it will post, im tired of random lock ups in bios.
sorry i dont know bios version, its a e6600 with 1900xtx and 2gb of gskill ram(ddr800)
mush thanks to anyone who can help
