Can anyone tell me all the ratios available with this board?
You are running a P5WDH and encountering an FSB wall at or around 360 with manual timings? I don't see what the confusion is. The front-page clearly states this known issue.Quote:

Tried all kinds of settings and raised the right windows volumes.

Is there any way of getting the board to read the SPD timings correctly? Mine reads my Corsair 4-4-4 ram as 5-5-5. As I need to use SPD to get over 360, it's *slightly* annoying having to run the ram at higher timings than necessary.
Not as far as I've heard..Quote:

hmmm i might have to concider a new board then
thinking of the intel bad axe
Ah right, that sort of sucks. I forked out the extra cash for C4 modules, and I can't even use the timings they're made for? Blah. Let's HOPE Asus figures out the "no boot above 360 with manually set timings" problem sometime soon :slapass:Quote:

But i will say that the SPD issue has really got me BURNED. I have some SWEET ram that I would love to try, but oh yeagh - its enhance latency is CRAP becuase you can't set them when you hit a fSB above 360. Isn't that why I bought it to begin with- so i could TRY and get to 400 with nice timings?
Heck, if 366 is going to be my max FSB overclock, then some sweet DDR2-5400 is all i need to get. As long as its timings are SPD default and not "enhanced" by manual settings and more voltage.
With the new BIOS there is the chance to change multi's. Which, should let me get to a higher FSB to REACH 400 while keeping the CPU clock low. However, its not working. 3300Mhz is my 100% stable speed now. When I try and get to that with a higher FSB than 366, it's a dead right after POST.
So, has this ability to lower the multiplier HELPED anybody? Anyone acutally gotten their FSB to increase with it?
I'm guessing its my CPU. It's a "weak" 24 (L624A819) -- haha. play on words. GET IT :stick:
Yes, I've lost my mind. I have another setup - a P5B Deluxe WiFi with a week 26 (L626A301) Allendale (E6400) that is acting pretty good. ON air cooling, with the motherboard voltage set to AUTO (it's hitting the socket with 1.51 per the AI Suite) I have reached 425FSB for 3400Mhz. I only stopped there becuase i'm on AIR cooling and my temps are a little high. (Using SCYTHE INFINITY with Evercool fans)
Scratch that: Make that a 450FSB for 3.6Ghz - now running ORTHOS
I need to go to the YOU KNOW YOU OVERCLOCK TO MUCH WHEN....... thread and seek therapy.
Actually i had 3 mobos.The first one (rev1.65) oced at 470(modded 1.85vmch),the second one(rev1.85) at 455 and the last one(rev1.85 1.03G) at 430!!!!What a disappointment..
Man you avatar is so distracting that I forgot what I was going to post ;)Quote:

anyone here can boot with E6600 3,6Ghz (fsb 400, 2:3) @ 600mhz 5-5-5-15 from bios??
I doubt you'd be able to do that, because the board will try to post with trd 6 and will fail,i have to boot with memory at less than 500,set trd 7 in memset, then clockgen it up.Either that or it don't seem to like cas 5,just like mine.Quote:

I'm on my 3rd P5W DH. My first board(1.65vmch) wouldn't do over 430FSB, my second & third both would do 450FSB, but I just realized the 1407 bios was stopping my third board from matching my seconds performance. I've now flashed back to 1403 & am currently testing.
SPD timings are always lower than the ram's rated timings.Quote:

With my MDT ram, I had a black screen when setting ram timings manually above 400MHZ FSB. Even when I set the same settings than auto. I had to run SPD to boot above 400MHz. With the G.Skill ram I dont have that issue, so its Ram delated.
The max ramspeed I can run is 540mhz with 2.2V. Makes no difference if I use more vdimm, so I suppse its the board limiting me. But thats not that bad, as 1:1 seems to be the fastest setting for me.
Hmm odd,Quote:

I have the P5W-DH and can boot with manual ram timings up to 390 fsb
(high as my proc will boot) @ stock timings of 4-5-4-15
