Thanks!
That's not good news... :(Quote:

I have never seen the x1 PCIE problem on my setup.

Nothing special about BIOS, except I am running with Speedstep & C1E enabled. (working flawlessly)
iìve got the same cpu but where i can find the speedstep function in the bios?I checked the cpu configuration page but it's not there!The bios version is 0804.Quote:

(I may be wrong, perhaps someone else can confirm this) (oh and you have to scroll down the CPU Config BIOS Page to see it, it's just off the screen)Quote:

i just finished installing everything and my question is - why should i do that? installing the drivers afterwards worked fine for me..Quote:

@Menlatin
Would you be kind enough to tell us your bios settings for volts and mem timings and other feature that u disabled or enabled @8x500 or higher with default multi, and mem freq @1125. And its very interesting that u always had low value on your Tras (960 mh 4-5-4-4 2.15v) Or maybe its your extensive cooling on the chipset that affect it? I have the same sticks as your, mine is 2x512, so tell us ur bios settings pleaseee....
@TaPaKaH
I think its the mobo u have thats holding u back, i got 7x470 max with my E6300 week 29 and maybe Kakulukia got 7x478 with his as u can see in his sig
@BadThad
I read somewhere in the manual that says 4x1gb sticks wont work due to chipset limitation. So maybe u can read the manual first. I hope im wrong tho
BTW, i dont see any significant update on that 0804 bios regarding performance (chipset bootstrap thing) or any other bug (sound, pci-e etc)
-tam2-
i am wondering if the bios senses two GPU's and it is trying to run each at 8X even though the bus width is suppose to handle one core at 16X.
how do you check if it runs x1 or x16? the new marvel alliance game runs horridly on my system for some reason (7900 gto @ 710/800 and e6300 @ 3.3)
open up cpuz mainboard tab and post screen
see if it reports the same error also youll see your bios revision

Same,sorry for Big one , high resolution
-it runs at 8x mode because the gx2 are in real ''sli'' in one card. (that is something about the pipelines, in short= 8x is normal)
-chipset= go to utility and download INF , u will find the chipset drivers in that file.
-4x1gb is no problem, the only limitation is that windows x32 cant handle 4gig (i thought 3.2gb, but there were a few windows tweaks).
how can i fix that 1x pcie issue ? video is x1900GT rev2
