K I will enable it. Thanks.
Does it do anything timportant other than prevent that error anyway?
not really mate it just updates the cpu info
Remember, what I said is just a theory.Quote:

Guys, with the 1407 BIOS, my USB devices have just gone to hell. Mouse lags terribly in FPS games and wireless performance is terrible (in games). Has anybody else experienced this?
thanks Simon
Is 1305 still the best in most peoples opinion ?
I have tried most and am at 1405 atm - i have not seen much difference except the ability to change the CPU multiQuote:

I have the following spec:
E6600, Hiper Modular Type-R 580W PSU, 2x1GB XMS PC-8500 Ram, 2X 74GB Raptors, Gigabyte 6800 ultra, inside a watercooled Coolermaster Stacker Case - running on an ASUS P5W of course!
The problem I have is this: if I try to turn on the PC it stalls. There's a very short flash of the neon light and fans start to spin but then they stop. If I hold the On button for 5 seconds, then depress, then press again the system comes to life. Boots up normally, fully stable at FSB 360 (no other overclock).
It stalls on startup every time, and I have to go thru the same routine.... arghhh!! very annoying. I tried replugging everything - no difference. Tried several bios versions, currently 1405. I suspect its a PSU issue - but have no proof (only have one PSU) - - Any ideas??
i have a problem with memory timmings,
my e6600 is running at 3.3ghz [1.4v] 9x366
but i cant set the timmings my self, i have to use SPD for the board to boot
any way i can fix this cus the SPD timmings suck @ 18 6 6 5
when it should be 12 4 4 4
Hi I just built a system using the E6600 and i have it currently at 9x400 or 3.6 ghz on a Thermaltake Ultra-120. The problem im inquiring about is that I have to hit my MCH volts to 1.75 to get it stable at 3.6 ghz.
The ram im using is the 2GB corsair XMS2 PC2-6400C4.
I really cant figure out why i have to volt the MCH so high.
Guys does anyone know what's the differences for rev1.03 boards?
My USB issues have been solved. I reverted back to BIOS 1305.
Same prob right here. It's happening ever since I installed the wireless remote. Do you have the wireless remote installed? I dont think its it, but it could be somehow maybe.Quote:

Very similar: after stalling I can fix it in three ways, hold on button for 5 sec then press again, switch PSU on/off, or reset bios. For convenience I just do the first. I also get the "overclock failed" screen (once every ~20 bootups). I noticed that you have a different PSU... I know that if the load is too small for a PSU (eg <15% of its rated output) it can behave like this - - but my hardware exceeds that threshold significantly. btw I havent used the wireless remote.Quote:

Other than temps seen differently by different progs, what am I looking at here? It's up and running and default and Auto settings, but where do I start to get the system running at spec ?

Any input/help wanted, just prefer cpu and ram at least spec.

The CPU temperature after the test failed was at 37 C with PC Probe and at 51C - 47C with CoreTemp.
Im using stock CPU fun, 1x12 front and 1x12 rear case funs
Assuming those Temperatures are normal, whats the next step in improving the stability of my system?
thanks in advance
PS. Im not intended to Overclock my system for the time being.
I have a few question about this board with an E6600 and some GeIl pc6400 CAS 4. BIOS 1401.
Got it running at 350*9 memory 1:1 all stock voltages, right out of the box. This is 1,5 hours prime stable. 370fsb wouldt boot, what would be the right order in raising voltage for stability? One of the three motherboard voltages or Vcore?
Also, Hyperpath3 is disabled, so is the Thermal stuff. Didnt set timings for the memory yet, so it was set by SPD. Is there anything of this that I should change or other general BIOS settings?
Thanks in advance, Im really new to this platform. :)

The subwoofer is not the same one as in the 221's. Upgraded not only to five satellites from two, this system has a resemblance to the 221 model in style. The boom box gets more power and a 5.25 inch driver, up from 4 inches.
As these satellites are in sealed boxes, I was unable to verify that the 3 inch mid/high driver in the very same one from the ACS-48 and 621/641 models; however, after listening to the 251's for over 40 hours, I can conclude that they do have many of the same characteristics.
