I talked to the guys at Fry's, looks like E6600 coming in 8/10. I believe Outpost.com is shipping them the following monday. There are plenty of options available by next week so let see if the egg learn its lesson from today.

If you are one of the lucky few that got their Conroes today, you are right. Maybe they are overwhelmed with the number of back orders they have to fill and ship today, and can't spare the time to answer customer service calls and e-mails. But from where I sit, it looks like they misrepresented the chips as being "in stock" when they really weren't, and are trying to avoid any communication with customers.

I will give them a day or so to put things straight, or at least contact me with some information before I really get angry. Newegg may be charging larcenous prices, but at least they don't misrepresent their stock, they ship on time, and they answer the phone.

Tell me about it lol, every resellers are on the west coast. I have no choice either way but I rather find one with the best return/refund policies.

I was actually fairly impressed with them. Ordered a 6700 around 5ish EST on Friday and by the time I got home from work had a tracking number.

That being said I suspect they had everything but the 6600's in stock, but couldnt say for certain.

im very dissapointed in CLubit. I get a phone call 30 min ago (7:50 EST) from fernando telling me that there is a "problem" with my order. he said intel never sent them the retail E6600's and they only have oems... BS. he said he can give me a $10 discount and drop the overnight shipping fee they charged me. i told him ill take it. $329 for an E6600 OEM with overnight shipping. i guess its not so bad...

Yeah.. we, the consumers have this kind of power :D.. now i want those E6300 at 199 ok newegg so i can buy from u. And :banana::banana::banana::banana: when are the C2D motherboards go down in price?.. those high prices are just sick. However im waiting for the Lanparty, RD(AMD)600 or more reviews on that MSI power up edition...

Edit*: Did you notice that the 3rd review on the E6300 stating "a good cpu at such a low price" was deleted already? LOL, we've got power :D

I'm now secretly hoping E6600 retails don't show up for quite a while yet. I want to feel good about my E6600 OEM purchase from microcenter ;p

Mine supposedly ships on the 10th. 3 day turnaround time is no good in my book >:(

E6600 went from "Pre-Order" to "Orderable - Slight Delay" at PC Club in the last hour or so. Same with 67, 68, retail and OEM on all.

420 for 6600. Not too bad, not great.

$329/free overnight for an OEM e6600 is a great deal...
