2700@1.69v (on bios) -> 53C full load on both cores with ~25C ambient and a Big Typhoon on a Stacker
Right now 2600@1.55v 47C folding on both cores.
I think the temps are pretty decent for the volts involved. But since I've seen my naked winnie 3500 indleing (low volts, low clock) at 3C below the ambient temperature I don't trust these readings.

stil testing my 4400+ x2 0534 spwm
so far so good i deed 1.71vcore to dis 1m pi run , cooling was wc .
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y90...ripper/291.jpg
but il have to stop testing for now unlit my x800GTO² comes and a good hdd.
p.s no tweaks ;) , i can run pi 8m @ 2.86ghz withe 1.63vcore :D

Cheap 165 Opteron's for socket 939 give those X2 4400+/4800+ really some decent :slapass:

This one chip gets too hot to handle... have Big typhoon just about managing to keep it going... nop I don't plan to get IHS off. Any idea how to optimise cooling. Temps keep on fluctuating with 36-58. 58 is where I get a feeling of loosing X2  . But with India's HOT weather I think this is good result. Need to get a WC kit or make one by my self is possible. How safe is to run 2.9V thru OCZ Plat Rev 2 (TCC5)?? Have been eyeing "DDR600" for a while now so need to be sure as cant afford to loose anything. With 2.8V it gives a lot of Test 5 errors :slapass: .

my new X2 3800+
Stepping: CCBHE 0533 SPMW (never seen a ccbhe). On Watercooling. I think it's a Toledo core, maxCaseTemp detects it as one, although cpu-z says its manchester.

I am running on 2.67*10 for 24/7 max prime95 is 2.6ghz ,but 2670mhz run just fin
I am håp tweaking up to 2.7ghz +-
max bench (for now) 2mb and 4mb superpi and 01se stabil :D

I am pleased :D

I have a toledo based x2 3800 currently @2.5 1.475v
are theses temps ok?
41c idle
55c load
xp90 panaflo fan
do the toledo core versions of the x2 3800 run hotter than the manchesters?
whats a safe limit voltage wise?
thanks

How much voltage is too much for these toledo X2s?
My 4400 is running @ 2750 1.55vcore
-21c idle 0c loaded
I want to get 2900mhz but even 1.7vcore wouldnt stabilize it.
I'm running a divider of 150 also.
-
1.6v is looking to be a sweetspot for my cpu.
Currently Prime95 stable for just 2 hours...but I think before I was using 1.7v and that is just too much voltage.

2794mhz 1.60vcore
Load temps of 0c

Alright, after i finished my water block grinding and now have full contact with the cpu, i'm hitting the wall @ 2720, 1.52V and 50*. So far about 15 hrs prime stable, i'm going to lap my block (currently only 300 grit) try out a heater core to try and drop some temps, and then try another block with a thicker base.
-
I had to back the OC off to 2717mhz at 1.50vcore. I couldn't get 2794 stable for more than 2 hours. Average fail time was 20 minutes.
What kinda chipset and ldt voltage is everyone with a comparable overclock running? I bumped both up .1
Chipset reads 1.6v and LDT reads 1.28v
Anyone got a suggestion on how to get a higher stable OC...Right now my loaded temps never reach 0c. I can hit idle of -24c.
-
Tok the IHS of yesterday..
temp loss frome IHS on and air cooling to IHS off an watercooling is about 20c load..
Priming at 2720MHz @1.61v atm. On air with IHS 2600MHz was maks.

1.5v vcore, 1.4vLDT 1.6v chipset 2.8vmemory 24x7 stable at 255*11 = 2805 on a 4800 with the IHS removed under QUIET watercooling. CPU hits 39 deg c after priming overnight.
edit: oh, and C&Q working just fine for when i'm just surfing - drops to 1.2v vcore and 1275mhz when idle :)

3 Attachment(s)
I am using a 4800+ now and have that running stable at 3080 at low voltages with a 10x multi and 280 fsb.
I am using a Mach 2GT. I had a 57 but i screwed up with the seal and the chip got some moisture on it and it corroded the core :-(, I will put a photo up on the site soon. I had that running at 3.5 G and could bench at 3.45 voltage didn't work at getting higher clocks. I had no cold issue.
-
Ive clocked mine down to 2.4 with 1.3V she gets 47-48 dual folding and I dont like that..
Isnt that opt a dual core also? the 175 I mean..
Sweetness.

Currently 2838mhz 258x11 1.648vcore 1.6v chipset 1.47v ldt 2.62v ram.
I can run 32m super pi, OCCT, and PCMark05. I am going to prime overnight and see what happens.
-
259x11 2849mhz 1.680vcore 1.6v chipset 1.47v ldt 2.62v ram
SuperPI 32mb pass
OCCT pass-I tried to run SuperPI 32meg and OCCT at the same time. OCCT would fail 20 minutes in. (not a good sign me-thinks)
PCMark05 5510
Prime failed after 4h 50 minutes. I will test each core individually while I am at work.
I think I might bump up the voltage to 1.55x113%. See if I can't get totally stable that way. I am pretty pleaseed though. I will be testing out stability in 3dmark and games tonight.
Any advice would be great.
-
My advice.... probably to take the clocks back to 2.8 Ghz and lower the voltage. Even with those great temps, 1.7V is a lot to run 24/7 on a dual core. I would try to keep it at 1.65 and under.
-
I plan on backing off 100mhz and run at 1.536v. I have been going over my results and 100mhz just isn't worth it. I do want to find the highest stable clock for sh|ts & giggles.

Hi, im about to buy a 4800 X2 and would like to know what are the good steppings for OC with this CPU for now i have this one...
ADA4800DAA6CD CCBWE
0531WPMW 1312136H50227
Anybody know if this one is any good? and if not witch are the good steppings for the 4800 X2..
-
i think WPMW is normally a decent stepping. later weeks aren't to bad on these X2's (yet), i've had two 0533's that hit 2.7ghz with low volts.
-
What do you think i can get with WC with a Asus SLI Deluxe?
-
Bumped up my OC 290x10 1.696vcore divider of 140...28m 05s superpi 32m...Not priming for crap though. Passed OCCT also. Also got me a 3DMark05 score of 14026. This is running standard performance Mushkin at stock timings. This almost is only 43 points shy of my best score with my x2 4800.
