It's not just the 3500. I got this from Joe when he upgraded the shipping on my OEM 3200 to overnight: "Barring any sort of catastrophe, you will be shipping out the end of this week."
-aMp-
I'm not clubbin til my 3000+ is here
Assuming it's coming from the So-Cal warehouse, mine will be under phase change by tomorrow afternoon :woot: Since i have it shipped to my wife at her Fed-Ex office, and it always comes overnight, i guess the taxes i pay make up for the overnight shipping i always get :p:
hehe, i just thought of something. there's an ingram micro 10 mins away from me. i wonder if they have the 3500+ venice in stock. Does newegg ship from the distributor directly or do they do their own shipping from their warehouse? man, if newegg ships from the ingram micro warehouse near me, i might get it tomorrow, woot. i doubt it though.

Check the contact with the evap. You should be way cooler than that. With the 3800+ Venice, my mach2 could hold load temps @ at least ~-15C. Nice little cpu you got there ;)Quote:

Any thoughts, comments.
Let me know.
eM..
3800 venice has 512kb L2 cache and the 3700 sandy has 1mb L2 cache. If I was going to spend the money I would hold out for the 3700 sandy. :) You will will probably be able to OC them both to about the same and the sandy has the 1mb cache like the FX chips. From my understanding the 1mb cache adds about 200MHz worth of performance, so if both chips were running at the same clock speed the sandy would perform as if it was running about 200MHz faster. :)
Hmmmm. Damn, I am so tempted to get the Venice cuz, its almost here. But the San Diegos are so close behind too!
I hate this waiting game.

Why don't you order from Monarch? They ship to Canada too, $18 shipping and Monarch Joe will upgrade your shipping to the fastest avail if you PM him :)Quote:

Yes waiting does suck big time. I'm probably one of the most impatient people around. But oh well as they say "Good things come to those who wait" or in Gorod's case people who gamble. :D BTW those are some sick results man, nothing like a 160 dollar chip doing 3GHz. I'm thinking I should be able to do around 2.8 with my XP-90 when I finally get my 3000+ venice. :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

I e-mailed Monarch Joe about the shipping upgrade and I got a reply back like in 5 minutes!

Done! Standard Overnight and a Tshirt coming your way.

upgraded from fedex ground.
I think I'm going to do all my shopping at monarch from now on. :D
Yep I emailed Joe and he responded (Not kidding) in less than two minutes. However he couldn't upgrade my shipping from USPS PRiority cuz they only offer that to ship to PR.
BUT, he threw in an ATI hat and a Hornet Pro T-SHirt :cheer:
I  monarch :buddies:
Lol nice, gotta love companies tha treat the OCing community well. :D Giving out a bit of free stuff does wonders for future sales.
Got a reply from Joe at Monarch, I too get the free overnight shipping upgrade at no extra cost, that's some excellent customer service and definitely will order from again!!
Hey, TheMeatFrog dude. Got a question for ya. I was just looking at Monarch's website for the specs of the 2 CPUs. On the website, it was saying that the Venice has 2400MHz clock frequency while the San Diego has 2200MHz. From what you wrote seems like they are equal since the 1 mb L2 cache is about 200MHz more then the 512K.Quote:

eM..
btw, newegg's site IS running SLOW today, I just ordered some goodies and was getting pretty LOOOONG lags...

Sure they are "equal" at stock settings. But if you assume the sandy is going to OC the same or better than the venice then you will have better performance.Quote:

I hope everyone is prepared for when you get your cpu. i hope everything will work fine.
nf4 sli-d is what ill be using with the 414-3 bios, adds support for the new cores. 3/10 seemed to work but with mem at 2t. 3500 venice
DFI NF4 Ultra-D, with extra lil sli mod for future proofing.
DFi NF4 UT SLI-DR, Venice 3500+, XP-90C, semi crap Fortron 400w Blue Storm, XFX 6800 GT
That'll get er' done... :hehe:
why is Fortron 400w Blue Storm semi crap ?
