I was playing with my memory with beta bios 1.10B2, I was trying to pull highest CL6, spi 32M and 1M, TT Big Typhoon and Noctua NH-D14, so this is it, I can't pull it higher, I like this bios very much

Clocks are great, but motherboard have slower PP than Giga, in 1M Giga at 900 CL6 can pull 0.3s faster... It was with optimized windows, and few tweaks, with this screenshots I was focus only at memory speed, so maybe 0.1s or 0.2s is Giga faster at lower or similar frequency... Too bad, with better PP MSI could be perfect board

I need one favour :D

SS from Cell menu-BIOS, the part with voltages(cpu-vid, ddr and other), i need default vaules, those AUTO settings are killing me, i have to hard OC B45, but got this mobo 4 days ago, dont have time to get in touch with it.

These are the settings i use for my 965 c3 for 4.1ghz,24/7.Hope this gives you some pointers.:)

Where did you find the list?

It doesn't show k9a2 Platinum, but CF and some other lower end AM2+ boards... Sort of odd that they dropped support.

the winki-module was a usb-module that u put into one of the onboard usb sockets. with winki u could boot into a tiny linux based os and do websurfing, email and skype.. afaik.
i never saw it in action. my friend has a winki edition board, but he never used the module.
winki edition boards and standard gd70 boards are exactly the same. only difference was the bios. i guess they dropped the winki edition bios support a while ago.

it´s time for some x6 owners to report how they´re doing with this board.
i got myself a 1090t a few days ago.
bios 1.1b1 wasn´t allowing me to disable turbocore. fortunately someone here on xs posted a link to a msi beta bios ftp site and i got the 1.1b0 from there.
i guess 1.1b0 should be the next official bios, but it was pulled from the msi site after a few hours.
maybe cause of some bugs. one of them is the famous "ht sync flood error" which keeps me from posting screenshots with more than just one cpu-z screen.
whenever i open 2 or more cpu-z screens my system freezes and i got a reboot followed by the "ht sync flood error" message.
without that bug it would be a perfect bios. i could run vantage at 4.3ghz and 3.1ghz nb without a problem. it´s a must to have turbocore disabled if u overclock and don´t wanna stay at stock volts.the system is 1hr prime95 (large in place ftt´s) stable at 4.1ghz 1.47v and 3ghz nb 1.3v.

The new 1090T is rated 125w TDP but I think it is only max temperature that is still same @ 62C and not the voltage. Otherwise I can't explain my 1090T OC @ 4Ghz with 1.36v on Crosshair IV Formula. 4Ghz with 965 C3 used to be for me at 1.45v. It would seem like max volt with Thuban is only 1.4v as to Denebs 1.5v. Just telling everyone this so you'll be careful if you are running 790FX-GD70 with updated bios and using Phenom II 1090T that "if" you go over 4Ghz+ and 1.4v+ it might break the board. Depends on what type of cooling you have also ofcourse but on AIR or like H50 only and not custom loop, then it is not enough. Atleast not on GD70.

There is a well known problem with the TIM used on the NB and SB chips on this board,MSI used some inferior paste,looks like gum,the problem was solved with taking the HS assembly off,cleaning the glue off the chips and aplying a good quality TIM,NB now @40c,as apposed to some users seing 80+c on there boards,even though the MSI saying max safe NB temp is 80c.

I have my 1090T running at 4.2ghz,at 1.470v,no problems either.:)

tdp is tdp... if thuban really would draw more watts than deneb, then the tdp would be way higher. i can see by the meassurements of my wattmeter that the powerdraw of the whole system is almost the same with x6 as it was with x4.
amd is giving the x6´s 1.47v in turbo mode. so i guess 1.5v is still save.
however, if u think u can torture ur desktop board with 8+ hours of linx, then i can´t help u. this is definetly the death of any not properly cooled board.

EDIT:

so what about u guys running thubans. do u have any problems with the 1.b0 bios? any ht sync flood errors? am i the only one?
