Thanks for the confirmation.

It's true for 45nm quads. This MB cannot achieve very high FSBs on 45nm quads.
Dual Channel Issue
Hi guys, the my P5K-E does not detect DUal Channel even though I placed the mems on slots A1 and A2 (Yellow and Black as per manual, a dual channel setup)
- Bios 1202
- Corsair CMX2048-8500CD 2x 2048 MB DDR2 1066Mhz
Also,
PCI-Ex 16x @ 1x
PCI-Ex is set @ Auto.. but it goes down to 1x.. I was able to go to 16x when I was at 440mhz FSB.. but then I went down to 435 and bootstrapped at 333, it went to 1x..
Any ideas how to fix these?
Try different slots.
What's your NB voltage?
Yeah its fixed. 1.55v
Yes thank you.. the manual really is confusing. It should be on a1,b1 or a2,b2 for a dual channel setup.
The PCI-Ex has been resolved also.
Now I have a new question..
why is the ram latency and bandwidth too slow? Im running the mems @ 1056Mhz 5-5-5-18 and Im getting 7500MB/s-ish memory bandwidth and 76ns on the latency in sandra.. When I was in my 780i, on the same oc, it was 10,000MB/s bandwidth and 45ns latency... Sorry, I came from nvidia mobos and really am a noob on intel chipsets..
You should lower that NB voltage.
Is it stable?
If I were you I would try dram timing control enable. The rest seems fine :) you have almost everything at the minimum voltage which is very good
With FSB Strap to North Bridge at 400 what option do you have for the RAM Freq.?
That was an old shoots.....now using less 400x9 on easy :P
So does anybody know if 76ns for latency is normal? Was getting 46ns on a 780i before on same mem settings..
At 500*8 (RAM@1000 5-5-5-15) I have around 55ns.
I see.. so 1:1 is the best for the P35s... ok. Must be the dividers. Thanks man!
Only gripe is that my degraded E6850 is only stable @ 3.9Ghz 1.51v.. but my rams can reach 1066 @ cas5.. looks like no choice but to run it in 490*8 and tighten the mems.. but I also wanted that high mem bandwidth. :|
Cwelle, are you running whit the specs in your signature? Can you please share your voltage settings on BIOS, you have a good OC on RAM, especially whit 4 slot occupied.
Yes, I'm running this setup 24/7.
Here are the settings:

I've been playing with my new E8400 I got over the weekend. Managed to get it to 4.25GHz (8.5x500) with Linpack stability. I thought I'd share my settings.

Any of you have settings for a 4ghz Q9550 ?
A cpuz verification and a burn test stable and all screenie proof..
Im planning on getting a Q9550 for this workhorse..
Thanks!

Probly the best I can do with the aging P35 :(
Danged thing wont reach OS on 3.9ghz lol.
btw, Is 1.368v high for the clock?
:p: Yes you are very correct. 455 was my tops (and would require 1.55  the nb volt which makes the pci-ex run @ 1x forcing me to lower the oc back to where 1.4v nb oc area )
Frackin board and its 45nm quad handling. Time to get me one of them p45 (that DFI p45 jr is going for 150 dollars here and I got this Q9550 2nd hand which only costs 180 dollars. Pretty much cheaper than going to a bnew i5 and ddr3)
is FSB the Vtt voltage?
I'm going from a E8400 C0 to a E8500 E0, so i have to update my BIOS version to at least 1102. Which is de best bios for me to use (so it has to be compatible with de E0 revision)?
Also, I'm running a RAID 0 array. Can I update my BIOS without any problems of the RAID array (loss of data/not recognizing anymore)?
And what is the best way to flash a new BIOS?
