It's now a year and half that I left the fighting arena, I see that stonageman is not on the top daily cruncher anymore. OldChap is the top guy now and movieman right behind. Movieman probably is crunching on some exotic multicore CPU's cooled at liquid helium temps. Congratulations on both of you.
Bu stonageman what happened. Maybe the terrific competition we did has exhausted your machines.
I see that now it would be possible to have a double Xeon board with a total of 72 threads. A little expensive I am afraid, but three such rigs would be equivalent to my 20 machines totalling 240 threads. Unfortunately the price would be very very high.
I have donated 10 of my rigs to equip a school for troubled children. So they are still fully used for a different but good cause.

Good to hear from you again. I was trying to keep an eye on you and noted that you were getting dimmer and slowing down while apparently suspended in space. I am a bit worried about what will happen to your particles when you re-emerge from that black hole you fell into. They say that you can't just re-emerge from a black hole. The particles that come out of a black hole, are apparently completely random, and may bear no relation to what fell in. It appears that the information about what fell in, is lost, apart from the total amount of mass, and the amount of rotations....Quote:

OK, after a serious no-pie diet, I'm back and got some pie. At least on the old free-dc site....
I have a ton of catching up to do. I felt like a noob when I brought on some HP G9 server love last week.
I'm in the process of constructing Farm version 2.0. It should become full of server love if my "master plan to rule the world" works out....:up:
My next project for server machines will be to figure out how to water cool them. The tiny whiny hoover vacuum cleaner fans in them HAVE to go.
The remnants of Farm V1.0 is getting cleaned up. Those poor Q6600 quads look SO 2007 now.... Some of them still work but they draw a boatload of power compared to what I have now...
Good to see ya'll again. If this is not where folks are hanging out, please direct me there. I had a link that didn't seem to work when I asked about this before. Maybe I'm just a noob all over again...:shrug:
