w00t we have another scapegoat besides me! :D
:rofl::ROTF:
Still not a bad day for a bump at then end:up:
I guess Im to blame for the HCC servers going off line then :sofa:
Naughty servers :shakes:

Well done guys ..... that looks like one helluva party SMBT
Hey slackers :shakes:
Team XtremeSystems: 10,137,859
:CTF:
I was down a bit, 3 hours on a total water cooling rebuild on the SR-2 rig .... 2 new RX360 rads and reconfigured the flow.
The bad : 3hrs downtime on the SR-2 = around 16k wcg along with a hella gash on thumb
The good : new rads and new flow = low to mid 40's full load @4.3 :yepp:
Lets see some new pix sR I would like to see the flow pattern change.
I'll post them in the bitten by SR-2 bug thread as to not clutter this thread ;)
I'm in upgrading phase, I just sold my main cruncher.
give me a week and i'll be back stronger than ever
My boxes - all 2 of them - have been offline since Thursday. Will be back up tomorrow.
Ok... i'm stumped....
I know weekends can be down on the numbers but today numbers are WTF???
Check them out:

BBT numbers are the same (ie crappy even for us), so I think it's a validation issue.
The way less than normal daily numbers are happening to everyone. Link to WCG forums about it.
It looks like they're trying again. My stats got rolled back.
Statistics Last Updated: 6/26/10 00:05:57 (UTC) [27 hour(s) ago]
edit: I should've read the WCG thread first. The retry was announced 30 minutes ago.
Biker, I wanted to say congratulations on your move to the first page on the stats-free-dc for XS :YIPPIE:
Yayy!
Into the top 100 :D :D :D
Thanks dude :)

:shrug:Summer heat, vacations away from the farm, gaming too much, or just another Sunday:shrug:
The crunching compells you:slobber::cord:
10 mill is still good but we can do better
Just to give a reminder for the new people over here. Team xtremesystems was doing around 7 mil for a very good day and was more likely doing 5-6mill a day regularly. So even a 3 mil boost in ppd is still a very good thing.
But since this is xtremesytems: SO WHO IS THE SLACKER ????? DON'T BE AFRAID TO TELL IT. YOU WILL JUST HAVE A CALL FROM DAVE ON WHY YOU SHOULDNT SLACK !!!!
I've been slackin'....
980x system is on clean benching OSes that doesn't support internet.... Sorry guys...
Also don't want to run the laptops 24/7 since it isn't much gain and a lot of heat.
I'll try to get my brothers i3 rig running 24/7 again though tonight so maybe get my points rising again.
Sorry I've been off. Been benching for XS Hwbot team hard though. :yepp:

Back into the 11's !!
it was because gpugrid was down and i as running on 4 cores instead of 3!
Much spiffier!
Awesome! 11M
WOah, nice day team and i finally cracked the 60k ppd mark !!!! :woot:

Good job today
It wasn't too long ago if we hit 6mil it was a very impressive day, now look how far this team has come.
Nice day everyone!
man, ever since crunching week the numbers never really went back down? What a huge effect is has had
If you ever think 10mil is a low number, go look at the first few pages of this post...we are awesome!

Another great day, nice work team.
Oh and Dave, New Hampshire Electric called me today and asked if I could get you to stop overclocking your power supplies, seems you are imploding some of the street lights again. :ROTF:

If anyone has some extra hardware for cheap or really cheap i've got the time, power, and skills to get it crunching hard.

Ok,we'll take it.
I'm guessing a lot of people are away and lots of Xs results waiting to be validated..
sad, whole team has less production but mine personally increases :(
Maybe not what has happenned.
IF the whole team did what they normally do BUT the results didn't validate because of somany people away for the holiday weekend then you'd see the same thing..
When we'll know for sure is next week say by wednesday when these results start getting validated.
well the heat is also starting to be quite high even here in quebec i have 30c ambient even during night that are as cold as 15c with 3 computer and no ac.
and normally i have around not even a full page of pending wu but now i have 4, could be the reason i have a lower ppd. Guess i will have to be happy with 50k-55k ppd and not 60k
even if there's no holiday "blip", today's result is ~25% higher than when I signed up around tax day. The "Beware the ides of March..OOPS! Make that May1-8 " push is still showing it's great legs!
BTW, my electric bill is also up ~25% - and my wife's patience is taxed. (Curse you Movieman)
:D
My cruncher decided to randomly prompt for the network key so I lost a day until I noticed it wasn't reporting. ><
Very good point and as to your wife tell her I said thanks for her patience with what we do and give her a big hug from me.
I do know that the electric part can be a killer but my heart and head tells me that if we can cut the timeframe by a couple years until the cures are found then all the expense has been worthwhile.
Time is the enemy here and why our top machines can make so much difference.
Along with this I spend a lot of time keeping up with the latest advances in solar and wind electrical generation hoping to find a reasonably priced way to offset the electric we use.
Dave I bike somewhere around 30km/day if you want to come up with some kind of bike driven generator I'll sit my ass on it and peddle for a cure :D
You know I was kidding, right? :ROTF: The wife is actually ok with it now. I was finally able to give her a succinct explanation of DC/WCG, and she responded with "...finally there's a good use for all that crap you buy" I was so taken aback, I started talking to her about XS, BOINCStats, dual/quad socket MBs - her eyes glazed over and she quickly left the room.
True that. We've both lost close family to cancer and friends to AIDS and -since this time of year the electric bill is through the roof anyways - the extra ~500W from crunching is a drop in the bucket. Certainly not trivial, but not a problem for us. Small price to pay.
Solar, huh? We've got plenty of that around here. Ever think of sharing some of that knowledge with an XS forum dedicated to the subject?
1) Still give her that hug from me. She's a "keeper"
2) Solar: Still very expensive to do a complete system that will cover say 3000 KWH/Month usage BUT I'm beginning to think the way to approach this is not to see a $80,000.00 cost for a full system BUT maybe to drop acouple grand for a small one and then add in as money allows.
Benefit of that approach is your getting some benefit now, and the $$ saved can be tucked away to buy more panels every now and then..
Sort of nibble away at the elec cost inch by inch if that makes any sense.
IE:Let the first say 4-6 panel system generate the money to add a couple more panels in 6-12 months, etc, etc, the more panels, the more saved for more panels without having to take a 2nd mortgage to buy an entire system.
Also when done this way your panels will have different "ages" and won't need to be replaced all at once as they lose effectiveness over the years.
Say start with 6-200wpanels,an inverter and go from there BUT lay it out on the roof with aplan of adding a few more each year.
Make sense?
9M is good for a holiday weekend.
You can blame me for a lack of 40,000 points as I was away at the weekend and both my crunchers decided to crash
Just get your installer to oversize the inverter unit, then as you add more panels later your production won't outstrip your conversion capacity.
:eek::eek::eek:
Where did everyone go?? No body want to post today's number?
Well here it is

Lots of people away and they shut down their machines plus all the office machines that are down.
My "pending validation" is WAAAAY up..
Just "money in the bank"..Will validate later this week.
Suggestion:
When you "go away".. Turn down the machines 200-300mhz..
Back over 11 Mil

Movin' on up, to the top !!!! (singing The Jefferson's theme song) :rotf:
GJ Team
Way to go team. I am working on my clocks to battle the heat. Once temps cool down I should be able to do more.
I turned on FAAH a couple days ago for my non-linux machines, so my pendings are way down!
