Places selling C2D as of 7-27-2006 at reasonable prices!

Went ahead and made a phone order on the OEM E6600 (from Microcenter), wasn't too bad overnight shipping was only $11 but im in VA so I had to pay $18 tax, but after seeing what Newegg put up and not hearing a peep out of ZZF, I just wanted to get it over with.

Like others, don't need a warranty (that will be voided) nor a stock HSF, already got my thermalright ultra-120 with a silverstone adjustable 120mm fan.

Now, I just need to get a non-defective P5W DH, and a non-defective Thermaltake 750watt modular piece of crap hasn't been tested power supply :P

Edit: and Steve told me that he couldn't check individual store availability (cause you just have to call the store if you live near one, I don't) but said that the computer shows 'Good Availibility' for online and phone orders, i'll find out in 1-3 business days when I get a tracking number :)

I might also call them too. This is unf :banana: ingbelieveable.

I'd like to send off an email to a senior executive at Newegg with my feedback. I've bought well over $100K in gear from them over the years, and been pretty happy with the CS - particularly with returns / replacements. I think this is pathetic. All I needed was to add one more item to my wishlist and then transfer it all to my cart. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay that kind of a premium for a CPU. Can anyone PM me an address?

I also just sent a complaint email. At the very least it might help those interested in the lower processors get a better price quicker. I just wish they would list the E6600.

You can preorder (for ship 8/14) on Outpost (Fry's), an E6600 for 2 dollars less than that price. And it's free shipping.

Suck it, egg.

problem is at this point nobody (outside of possibly some people at Intel) know if outpost will actualy get the chips on the 14th

Anyone have some feedback on eWiz? Never used them - but I think I'll order a CPU from them tonight.

ewiz is a real nice company never had an issue

That's where I got my P5W DH bd. They were much more competitive then Screwegg and shipped my order the same day. I also can't believe how well the packed it!!

It's not much but it's funny that they responded to the pressure!!
