Picked up the G1.Sniper board for £120 and the i7 930 for £100, 6GB DDR3 for £40. Overclocking CPU @ 3.84Ghz and undervolting @ 1.2. Graphics Card is nVidia GTX580 @ 900MHz
Where'd you get the floating arrows?
Why let the airflow go like that ? It's better to use the rad below for intake en put the rad on top on outtake.
His airflow looks perfect to me. He is using push on both radiators, he isn't pulling up dust from the carpet. And he is getting good positive airflow.

i really like that milky look of Mayhems liquids... but i do wonder what it looks like after 6 months of every day use... has anyone used them that long and can show us the result?
Here's mine after 5 months. Runs 24/7.

Does the Mayhems liquid stain the res?
I've been told i should just go Distilled and coloured tubing...
@xFEARx3,
Aquacomputer coolant?
This time I used EK red coolant.
very nice rig ! awesome...
Neoprene tubing ?
The new home for the SR-2 build i did last year, only this time with a lot more cooling power( 5 radiators and 20 fans and 5 pumps) and using 2 power supplies, since a single silverstone 1500 watt couldn't handle it in the long run with everything overclocked....

Yes the last picture shows a pair of 1200 watt power supplies....
And btw.. it's called Norprene cause it's NO Neoprene.
Here are a few pics of my recent (mostly) completed project. It's just a small CPU loop, nothing fancy. It's clean though and I enjoyed building it. The case is a Lian Li PC-V750. :)

Hi all.
Few days ago I updated my system. GTX480 has been replaced by GTX 680, I added 6 GB of RAM and sereval terabytes of HDDs.
http://sanbase.org/tmp/comp.jpg
http://sanbase.org/tmp/comp_inside.jpg
The system:
CPU: I7 920 (3.8Ghz)
GPU: GTX 680 (1200 Mhz)
RAM: 12 GB
HDs: 15 TB (3TB+3TB+2TB+2TB+2TB+1.5TB+1.5TB) + SDD (80GB)
My main task was to make a silent system, because I hate the noise of the fans. Since I work mostly with the video (I generate the video sequence on the GPU in a real time), the amount of memory and the power of the video card are very critical (see http://sanbasestudio.com).
Wow thats a tight fot for all that gear!
Manicdan, is that a custom case because it looks awesome. If so specs?
all custom starting with a few sheets of acrylic and sketchup and over 6 months of planning and development.
its the same as my sig, just in tower rather than briefcase and ended up about 20% smaller and lighter. i plan to do a full work log once im done sorting through all the photos. what i put up sofar was done with a decently sized photo tent and my brothers SLR. i have plenty more to show off in upcoming weeks.
nice!
nice!!

some very nice rigs in here, great work and nice and tidy!
How are You going to fill it with pump not connected directly to reservoir? :)
@ UlyssesCazuquel why do you have the videocard output to the cpu block output instead of input?
AweSome YING! Very Nice and Clean Mod!!

MO-RA3 +4x180 ... efficient and extremely quiet, the essence of LC
Hi everyone, this is my first time posting (anywhere) so please forgive me if i am uber noob.
After weeks of looking over this forum and wowing at everyone else's rigs, i decided it is time for me to build my own. (Made even funnier by the fact that i work in IT but didn't even have my own PC).
Whilst i have built 100's of pc's, never have i worked with watercooling. Being who i am, i had to go completely overboard with my build, and chose to extreme watercool it. I wasn't aiming for benchmarks and i don't think i'll even overclock it, watercooling for me was more Aesthetic and wow factor. Yes there were many jokes going around work with the other IT guys, saying i need a pool pump to run it or that it would be easier to drown it, but that didn't stop me.
Have to give kudos to Leo for telling me i have to give it a name, which i chose "Venenum Umbra" (Latin for "Poison Shadow" to go with the Green/Black theme). And to the other guys i work with for always giving me crap about it, lol.
Anyway about the build, i had many ups and downs, 1 faulty rad and 7 faulty comp fittings and a faulty SSD, but managed to get it up and running anyway.
I have spent over 250hours building/configuring it (Individually sleeving PSU cables was about 150Hours, but i was padantic and sleeved all of them including all the fan cables, case cables and light cables, told you i went
I will give you an inventory below the pics, but for now i hope you all enjoy. I couldn't get a decent photo of the bottom half, if i can i will post a link to it later on:

What kind of tubing is that B negative!?
it's a coolermaster stacker 830 nvidia edition.Quote:
looks like my case but fulll-atx, where can I find some pics? wich case is that?
@B Negative: Builds with copper pipes aways makes me think: How to disassembly it? How do you do it? Can you keep on using the sabe pipe for various mounts? Also, since your tubing is chrome plated, is galvanic corrosion a problem?
@LeoAndrade: It´s easy if you use rotary fittings for angled connetions ;). For parallel connectors your only have to bend the tubes to the right distance and plug them in - disconnection is the same way.
Corrosion is not any problem since chromium is a nearly perfect corrosion protection. Though the inner surface is pure copper - the tubes are only plated on the outer surface.

has anyone ever noticed how much using coils is a british thing?
like i dont think ive ever seen someone use coils, and then not find out they're a british builder.
Just release the lock ring and remove the pipe..easy.
You will need to make a new pipe every time you change a component to a differing model.
Its only chromed on the outside, the actual bore is copper. Chrome is also far better than nickel for corrosion resistance.
^ Clean build very nice case.
