Tough crowd to keep up with! :D
Hey at least you actually GET some pie, I don't even get a sausage roll :p:
32 threads here getting 6395 pts/day for the last 5 days.... Don't ya just love the points system?
OC,
6395 pts/day is indeed quite low for 32 threads. Are these BOINC or WCG pts? Any significant variance in the # of daily results returned?
My i7-3770k gets on average 40,000 WCG pts/day or ~ 6,300 BOINC/pts. # of average daily returns for MCM1 is around 40 WUs. You should be getting 15,000 + BOINC pts/day with your 32 threads...
I am crunching MCM1 exclusively right now. My daily pts allocation is reduced slightly on weekends, likely due to reduce validator availability. This weekend daily pts return reduction appears to be corrected on the following Mondays & Tuesday daily pts returns.
This is all about a certain batch of FAHV that run long and can be below 5 pts per hour. I got about another day, maybe two, of these to finish up or to go beyond the deadline whichever comes first, then hopefully I can start working towards normal which can be up to 23K ppd on this rig:

Back to the game :)
3rd place and still not running on all cores ?! Are you guys on vacation ?!
Nope.....Just fighting a broken points system and Errors generated by wu's that are too long
http://i57.tinypic.com/2w2lvlf.png
I though that was already solved...
I gave up only doing MCM now.
Me too but I cleaned out after they said they fixed it and until just now I had a whole bunch of similarly performing ones so I just posted at WCG:
Quote:
Rather than recall these long wu's that error out anyway we get to run them for some reason ....and we get re-sends too. I notice one with:
World Community Grid 7.32 FightAIDS@Home - Vina FAHV_x3VQ8_B_IN_LEDGFa_rig_0221726_0049_11
77.93%
01d,17:04:14
I seem to have another 3 days 18 hours worth of these based on a projected runtime of ~5.5 hours. considering I am looking at a reality of one here that took 28 hours to reach 75% then a whole bunch of these will exceed deadline. then error out. then get re-issued.
What good is this to the science?
In fact Stuff it .... They can have all of these back. If they can't be bothered sorting them out I can't be bothered running them either.
OC,
I ran into a similar problem with the new Vina 7.32. I persevered through the old extra length Vina 35 hours + running times to help get them out of the way so that the new improved Vina 7.32 could trickle in and fix this credit problem. 15 + of these 7.32 Vina are Running on my rigs and heading for the 35 + hours runtime with the accompanying 66.2 point you are a cheater credit. For every extra length FAHV WU that we choose to complete to help the WCG FAH research, WCG will again call us cheats and record it in their data bank. They really have to step up to the plate and address the shortcomings of their anti-cheat security and/or their pre-release quality control of FAHV WUs. Time as come to fine tune the rigs so that they only process more efficient WCG WUs until the runtime and cheat problem is addressed for extra length FAHV Wus.
Hopefully the scientists and the WCG techs will fix this proble ASAF so that important FAHV WUs can again be efficiently be processed
Ready.....??
Ka-BOOM !!!
Whoomp, there it is!!
Payback for many days of low points on that machine..... Now that there are short wu's we will have to wait and see how long this rig takes to level out to the correct points level again.
Yep thats right ....This is mostly the effect of just one rig :D
Here here, the room does hereby recognize, OldChap has a Big One.

Well done sir.
OC pigs out.....again! http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps729941f7.gif better get a defibrillator on hand :D

Interesting vending machine PG :)
hehe it is actually a IBM mainframe. :D
I could have gone with something "age" appropriate.....

Now come on OC (pacman) this is just getting silly
The rig I reported on started out at maybe 380 pts per thread per hour....it is currently down to around 160 :( ...... so a couple of days back I switched two other rigs to FAHV......
Makin' hay before the damn points system does its usual thing of pi$$ing on my strawberries.
I project totals will drop a min of 50k/day from now on
It's a shame that OC's 300K BOINC pts/day did not last longer... :(
It certainly made a difference in the XS WCG team daily score :yepp:
I was complaining when it dropped from an average 56k6 ppd to an average of 44kppd for 3 weeks
Now the past 90 days average is 72K the past month is >96K and do you know what?
I would be really happy to be able to maintain those sort of figures let alone PACMAN Pie
Sadly, I think this is my last day of the points bonanza..... Shame really, it has been fun
