that sounds like an expensive solution
might as well wait it out and make one right choice.

Well, as AMD say: " Our Bulldozer schedule has not changed ."
Probably fake yes, but i started to see a pattern there in the naming, so it might be something like this:
name - turbo
8170 - 4.7
8150 - 4.5
8130 - 4.3
8120 - 4.2
8110 - 4.1
8100 - 4.0
OR
name - base
8170 - 3.7
8150 - 3.5
8130 - 3.3
8120 - 3.2
8110 - 3.1
8100 - 3.0
What do you think?
Laugh all you want, this is all AMD fans can do, because they have nothing serious to grab from AMD.Quote:
Wow, your head is spinning faster than a crazy quasar.
You do in fact seem pretty disturbed.Quote:

I'm just pissed off AMD because i waited 6 month in vain for some solid competition from AMD.
I don't want this to happen but i'm curious what reaction would AMD blind fans- like you- would have if Bulldozer will be a fail?
I guess you will be all very disturbed.
Looks like we might be closer to a release than one might think! From AMD's facebook page just now:
"Report: FX is on the Move. Stay tuned for the launch of "Operation Scorpius: The Legend of FX" comic book this Thursday! We're offering free wallpapers, the comic book of course and a chance to win an AMD FX 8-core desktop processor. You won't want to miss this!"
I'm not missing that for sure!
so are they launching BD soon or a comic book?
here you go

If I had to speculate, that giveaway wont happen soon, Id say ~2months from now. But thats just a hunch.

It's a comic-con (july 21-24) event so if they do give a BD it would be very odd not to give it on the spot
Wow, a marketing pundit among us, enlighten them sherlock !
You can go out buy one chip or one tray of Sandybridge instead right now, nobody stopping you from doing that, not even AMD has the power.
Then STOP threadcrapping in this topic, you bring nothing useful to the table, outside FUD and usual Intel fanbois rant.
If ANY moderator watching, PLEASE, this is an AMD section, can we keep the thread focused and constructive ??? :shakes:

October doesnt fit with "60-90 days".
Early august to early september...
I'm a little bit sad there is a lineup of FX processors. Don't know why but I wish there was just one.
Anyway, I just hope that there will be AMDS new GPU tech to go along with this, my system is starting to feel its age and a nice system upgrade would warm the co ckles of my heart.
edit: bypass swear filter for co ckles!!!
So only two stations with FX processors ...Quote:
There were two 30 foot Eyefinity screens powered by AMD "Bulldozer" FX processors that ran Dirt 3 for 10 hours straight (with no BSODs in sight). These two stations has driving seats that pitched and bucked around and that combined with 30 foot of 3X 1080P wrapped around your head in Eyefinity was a big hit all day long. The first time I saw a seat go empty it was nearly 7PM. We also put on 3 Team Fortress 2 tournaments. AMD supplied 28 Sapphire Radeon 6850 video cards for prizes! We had 60" 3D displays set up. Tons of Eyefinity stations for the tourney events. Deus Ex: Human Revolution previews. And booths manned with XFX and ASUS employees that were ready to answer serious hardware questions.

Well they had 2 projectors/systems for Dirt so they needed only 2 PCs to run them, logical eh? :)
