i had the Minolta 50mm F/1.7 RS which optically was identical to the Original F/1.7 except a redesign in the body and the bokeh on it was good as well.Quote:

i tend to soften my portraits though for a more pleasing skin effect. but here's an example of how sharp it is at F2 with proper light even after sliding the Clarity slider back to around -20 or so:
