a little off topic,but when i first got into computers about 3 yrs ago
i thought i had found an addiction worst than some of my younger
days vices.constantly upgrading to new hardware and trying new things
but now i found something even more addicting,"CRUNCHING"
ive been using two rigs for the last week and a half,and then i had
to shut one down for three days waiting for a new hard drive and.......
it was like going through withdrawals,checking my stats and seeing them
slowly drop each day,whew!its killing me:(
but now im doing fine again now that the new drive is up and running.
well almost fine......now i find myself thinking,"i have 16 threads running now
but if i sell one 8 threaded cpu and get a 980x and then add it to my one
other i7 i could have 20 threads,although if i could afford it it would be
much better if i had two i7 8 threaders and a 980x for 28 threads...........

radaja, I'm right there too. I just moved to a new place this week and my AMD 965 is offline. Will be until next week when I get back from a trip....I have told myself that it'll be fine, I'll OC when I get back and make up for lost time...the sickness has settled in and made itself right at home....ARGHH!!!
yep.im now running both OCed to make up for my downtime,even though
my i7-920 cant really handle too much of an OC with the H50 cooling it
but im pushing it right to the edge:rofl:
If you go to far and have crashes you will be loosing more time instead of making it up :shakes:
Pushing it is good but stable is better, find your max and then back down 1 or 2 BCLK :up:
oh its stable but i just dont like my cpu's too hot.
for instance i never let my i7-920 hit 80c like i see others do
thats what i mean by the edge.not the edge of stability but
the edge of my own heat requirements.right now the 920 is hitting
68c at 4.2Ghz and the 870 is hitting 57c at 4.2Ghz
