Just Got an A64 NewCastle (0421CG) and Abit KV8Pro Ver 1.1 mobo.

The paste on the NB was not properly applied.

Basically I want to do 1:1. instead of the current 5:4 Memory Ratio. Should I get OCZ's 3500 or 3700 EB RAMs? another would be Adata DDR500????
htkm, Go for BH5s. You've done vtt mod right? Pull the 3.3v from pin on the bottom of the board where the ATX 3.3v goes to the Leg of Vdimm mosfet and you should be all set. 3.38v vdimm + 1.67v VTT works good together. A Vcore mod should get you more on the clocks.
Cheers man. :toast: a...which one is the Vdimm mosfet? a bit more detail with pics would be really good. and also the VCore mod. :D

Awesome!
Should I disable my k8nnxp vdimm mod to do that?Quote:

And another thing, i have a friend who is going to "buy" a newcastle 3200+ cpu, wich step would he go to? (he has an informatic shop).
welcome tbonekot. nice chip :D
I just got another 3000+ chip but I'm not sure if it has CO or CG stepping is there a way of telling by lookings at the chip. I rather know before hand so I can return it easier.
Quite simple.Quote:

AP = C0
AR = CG (clawhammer)
AX = CG (newcastle)
the first two letter of the core (ex. CAAOC)
CA = CO or CG core
CB = CG (newcastle core)
My new 3200+ 0416 @ 2525mhz and 1.7v vcore. Watercooled. Load spikes voltage to 1.74 or so as seen in the screenshot. Once I get my OCZ DDR Booster I'll do the vcore mod and see it I can do 2.6ghz (260x10) at 1:1.

my new config :D
it's faster then 313*8 but i don't know why? :confused:
http://www.forumdeluxx.de/gallery/da.../101731_5V.JPG
well at 313fsb you memory is iether doing 313x166/200=259mhz or 313x133/200=208. if you memory was divided to 133mhz that would explain why it is slower. cpu is the same speed but memory is down from 250 to 208. therefor entire system is slower. if you are using the 166 memory divider then i can't explain the drop in performance unless you dropped the ldt setting or loosened the memory timings
Ldt was the same (3) and the timings also the same!The memory has also the same speed (258) I don't know why its slower then sychron!

what's goin' on guys :rolleyes:
who has the biggest virtual pen*s of the watercooler-guys here, now ? :D
i can't go past 240MHz because my 2x512MB 3700EBs don't wanna go higher with only 2.82V VDIMM (maxed out @ GB K8N-non-Pro)
w8ing for DFI Lanparty-UT :D
