Does anyone here have like a how to on removing the NB heatsink?
I pushed down on 2 of the wires on each side of the HS(wire clips diagonal from each other) at the same time and then released the other one at a time..very easyQuote:

I can't pass DDR2 400 in any timing.. why is this.. the debug LED says "C1"
Bingo13, sir Tony anyone.. please help
can you help me with the setting.. mm.. i hope its not a bios issue.. anyone tested corsair 8000UL in this board????
Sounds like we're gonna need a list of RAM kits that make RD600 happy. :P
d9gkx from cellshock done pretty well. Bingo suggested ram need to be run at ddr1120 or so at cas 4, so I gave it a go and it worked out pretty well.

I only post this to confirm there are no d9gkx issues if setup right. Vdimm is 2.46, which is not as high as some modules need to go this far and 21 hours of blend proves it's quite stable too..
I'll start that list. RD600 loves TeamXtreem D9GMH. Currently at 575mhz SPI 32M @4-4-4-7. More to come ....... :)Quote:

Damn, I should've gotten some of that RAM. My G.Skill DDR2-800 isn't D9 chips and it can't get any higher than DDR2-889. :( I figured almost any (or even all) DDR2-667 kits would be crap chips.
Then again, those 2GB kits are in the $300's, while my 2GB kit was only $200. :)
yup.. i think we need a list.. mm.. if anyone have 5400UL or 800UL please test on the DFIRD600 confirming my findings..
hey anyone ot g.skill HZ in DFI RD600.. gonna buy these mems.. please post your results.. :)
calling bingo and sir tony.. could you test corsair 8000UL on your rigs.. these are old modules of micron fatties.. please help.. :)
I'm at work right now but I'll be home in a couple hours. I'll test some 8000UL's for you then. What specific speed & timmings were you looking for @ 1T? For G. Skills click link in sig of RD600 & 6400:)
Pretty sure Tony won't test any Corsair... :ROTF:Quote:

I think 1T is not a problem to me.. I think.. I can do DDR2 800 3-3-3-6 1T 2.8V
but I can't pass DDR2 800 2T
the 8000UL can do DDR2 1000 5-4-4-9 SPD timing on the DFI Infinity no problem.. but I can't do it in th RD600..
I will be looking forward for your test,.. :) I will be buying a G.Skill HZ.. :)
please post your bios config.. :) a little reference.. this board is giving me sleepless nights.. hehehe :)
hahahaha SO sorry.. :) I would really like to buy OCZ products.. but in our country there is no means.. you'll be paying 3x the memory worth to get it here.. no local distributor.. :(Quote:

waaaa.....
now i think its confirmed.. :( DFI tech please fix these problem.. :D pretty please..
anymore people have these problems..

That's pretty nice for a first-time setup. You're just diving right in, aren't you? :)
When I took off the paste on the NB, is it ok if that white foam thing comes off?
No that foam prevents the heatsink from crushing or chiping the chip. It allows pressure to be applied somewhat evenly intead of one area which can cause damage.
A lot of people recommended that the foam shim be taken off, I did it and the temperature has been reduced as well. I say as long as you don't apply an retardedly insane amount of pressure when reinstalling the NB heatsink, you should be fine.
