Who are those "experts" that have already sold their boards?......If they are "experts" as you say, they whouldn't have sold THIS mobo.....!....Quote:

I STRONGLY believe that the beta13 you're saying was the ALFA12 one which was "renamed" by "someone" as beta13..... ;)Quote:

old beta 13 actually alpha 13?
i'm assuming that has to be it since they wouldn't release an alpha 12 AFTER official 12 but maybe i'm wrong.
Yes ALFA13.......:)Quote:

i've loosened all the timings using memset and can get orthos blend to run for 4+ minutes as apposed to 3 minutes 55 seconds. :)
so that's a little better!
i'll keep trying though. i have a p5b deluxe coming which i'll test out to see if it's the board or if it's just my chip that can't do 9x400 (even though it can do small fft at 9 x 412).
thanks hipro and tictac!
I'll be putting this board back on the bench to test some ram modules. I'm gonna pair it with the 6400 that proved to be 8 hours orthos blend stable @ 450FSB. I'll stop whining about the board:) It is still my favorite board for benching I just plan to replace that purpose with the 680i.
mine did 420 on air no mods, now im at FSB 445 blend stable for 1h 30 mins at least, turned it off to try for 450.
mch 2.00 (1.90 real ) Vcpu 1.525, Vmem 2.45 (2.40 real), Vfsb 1.42 real
i still run mine at 400X9 24/7 and it runs orthos, Pi, etc all day no problems. Vmch is 1.75, Vcore is 1.47, Vmem is 2.2. Maybe you guys are cranking up the Vmch too much too soon?
I ran this this afternoon. I know it does not help those who have issues with their setup. I don't run this much as I am to paranoid about leaving it unattended for very long, plus it is boring.
Mine been running for 5 hours blend orthos test and fail out.
.E6400@3.4g (425*8) 1.425v
.vmch = 1.75v
.v-dimm = 2.1v 425Mhz@4-4-4-12
will try 2.2v v-dimm,hope to get it stable.

In an effort to share some results. Im running 24/7 at 423 fsb.
It is only about 2 hours small tft stable though. Im running orthos blend at the moment also to see how far that'll let me go.
Im really thinking its my cpu thats the stability roadblock. This is a cpu that wouldnt even boot at max volts 3.6 ghz 400+ fsbx9 on a p5b deluxe.
Edit: Forgot to add that im running 2.0 mch. No mods to my board.
I wonder WHY you guys insist on running Orthos.....As I said before, ALL programs have their own issues so when someone fails with orthos, better try another stress program so as to see if he fails at the same config......

Im not really stuck on orthos stability in any way. But there are others that seem to only be interested in the boards orthos stability.
Just posting to prove the board is very reliable above 400fsb. Im kind of suprised blend ran this long. I'll leave it on overnight because im also curious to see how much longer it'll run.
Im also considering the wire mod so i can get higher real mch. I've never soldered anything but it looks to be easy enough and everybody has to start somewhere.
MrDeeds,
how come in your previous post you run into problems with same config and now you didn't ?
What did you do ?
Anyone had any problems running SLI on this board?
* E6400@3.4g (425*8)
_V-core = 1.425v
_V-Mch = 1.75v
_V-dimm = 2.2v (425Mhz@4-4-4-12)
Fail Orthos LargeFtp after 5 hours running but got memtest stable for 8 hours.I will try 1.8v mch or 1.85v and post my pics later.
How come no one is really listening to Hipro? Sometimes its not the hardware, it could be more than likely software. You can have a perfectly fine machine at stock and windows crashes on you. So instead of being so fixated on Orthos try other programs.
got memtest error after 9600% testing (12 hours).I can confirm it cause of bios or hardware. With P5WDH I can get both stable for ~50 hours.
Well I can contribute with this one, stopped it to go benching instead :)

I didnt do anything, i just started a new session of orthos and did a blend test as opposed to small tfts. It still crapped out at about the 4 hour 45min mark. But as i have said before this is more than enough stability for me and i know its my cpu thats the problem.Quote:

I like mine. Thanks to hipro, crotale and some good luck soldering, I have a fine board. I only use it for oc'ing, I still have my LP2 and LP4 for other stuff. It would be nice to have better ram but for now this is good. Note my temps. Cold is good. Also, vdimm=2.526v vcore=1.64v vmch=1.92v vfsb=1.47v.Quote:

did the vdroop cable mod and vfsb mod, changed NB to an Alpha cooler with a 60mm delta fan pic here

Let me ask this... how many people are getting the x6800 over 400 FSB with air or water and no mods??? I really think there is a problem with the 6800 and this board.
