Hello all, First time poster, very long time lurker
My first try at watercooling :)

What's you full temps and watercooler config?
System was just assembled a few hours ago, still at stock speeds.
Stock Q6600 G0, idle @ 29C, load @ 35C, ambient 23C.
Apogee GTX, Thermochill PA120.3, MCP655-B
Very nice. A good set of components and the temps to match.
TY, thanks for the warm welcome :)
After seeing all those beautifully rigs here on xtremesystems, I decided to post some pics of my first water cooled rig.
It was put together this summer, however I never finished the case..:p:
Hope you like it :)

And before the cool sleeves, plexi and the colored water:

Ninvec
do you guys really think that the 120.3's are THAT MUCH better then say a triple (or even quad because of the space between the fans) Black Ice's or MCR320s?
If you could put a figure on it, what would it be?
Oh Hell yes. At least twice as effective.
I am running THREE Quad cores on my PA120.3/Iwaki RD30/Bonnie Heatercore set up.
Check out this thread for a comparison. Scroll down a little for the test, the "Cooltek" tested there ist identical to a MCR320.
I would imagine that a top mount would work even better for passive.
nice looking rig Ninvec i would take off those cool sleeve's though looks so much better without them... Imo the before looks better than your current setup...
:welcome:
Malik your case is so sweet ;)
Thanks guys :)
Malik man, sweet avatar. House FTW
Oh yeah, nice computer as well ;)
Which UV dye is that, Malik? It looks sweet!
nice work on the malik on the fan did you do it yourself?
Malik your case is so awesome, it looks photoshopped. Seriously good work there, I love the fan!
I use this one:
Feser One Acid Green
so cool case malik  can you give me the fonts name on the grill?
Case side is on, one single ~30CFM Akasa at the top (can be seen in the pics). Ambient at a guess is 21C... quite cold on campus.
I never intended this rig to be passive, I built it all and was going to put the rad fans on last... then realised I'd left the screws for the rad back at home (I'm currently at uni), so need to wait till next time I go home to pick them up...
I've managed to get one fan on the rad using zip ties and electrical tape, it's a 110cfm silverstone, I'm running it at 5v though.
@Malik
Very nice work on the fan grill--I like the metal over the UV green acrylic...tasty.
Too bad I'd need a 200mm to fit my moniker :ROTF:
Not quiet enough ;)
I can hear a quiet hum, the PC is at head height on my desk about two feet away. I can hear the pump, because I need to mount it on a gel pad but havent got around to it yet, and the HDDs make a bit of noise - although the P182 mounting method for HDDs is great in terms of acoustics.
NICE Grill's Malik I love it !
nice rig mate

Okay let the whining begin.
It's a water-cooled rig, and a very nice one at that, so can't see any reason to whine
Could maybe take issue with the hippy backdrop, but that's down to personal taste :D
I've been following this thread for some time, and really don't see what all the fuss was about earlier
I'm currently working on my 1st WC rig and hopefully will be able to post some pics soon.
I would like to say that I've been extremely impressed with all the rigs shown so far, and I've got a lot of inspiration from following this thread.
Thanks to all.
lol i didn't even notice that poncho till you mentioned it
that's sick cyber druid... why would we winge??? your not using thermaltake wc are you? lol
jks
Awesome stuff mate please post more pic's
Thanks guys...case is gone: I just grabbed a few more shots before the client took it off to Philly.
The next one will be even better :D Silverstone Temjin tj07 and 480 GTX...
Looks great CD.
I'd like to see more pics of the inside if you have them.
[OT]
On the whinging, it's complete rig now so no should complain. Showing pics of an incomplete rig, and in fact, component assembly (such as pump mount construction, among others), amount to a work log, and as such, are not in the purview of this topic.
Please let's not go down this road again for the sake of the topic.[/OT]
WOOHOO!!Quote:

I wanted to wait until I have my window ready, but I couldn't stand it any longer. Here's an update. When I added my D-tek nozzles I also tweeked the lighting and added some blue koolance springs.
Those T and right angle fittings make that look horribly restrictive, and that top GPUmusn't have very good temps..
hey cyber druid what rad are you using in the front of that case???
Awesome rig iadstudio

question: could a mcr320 fit on the front door of that case???
cheers
alright I've been here enough it's time for some pics. Pre disclaimer, I had to flash back to bios 901 on the striker and slap in the old e6400, and STILL am stuck on CPU init. Hence why there is no RAM or CMOS bat in, still working on getting it going, and took 1 rad out of the loop so I can change things faster while trying to make this :banana::banana::banana:ing thing come back to life.
Prior PC is in sig, hope to have it back up soon.]
Not as good as what some of you have, but it works for me.
As a side note if anybody knows a good pair of DDR2 800mhz + sticks 2x1gb or 2x2gb that will work period with the striker I'm all ears.

can you take some pic's from further away mate...
Seeing that Corsair was the first memory company that jumped into the EPP bandwagon, I would have to recommend the Dominators. Two gigs can be found here, but if you're running Vista, then I would recommend going with four gigs which can be found here at the same site. I would recommend avoiding the PC2-6400 model of Dominators though since they're using the Promo chips rather than Micron-D9s. Hope this helps.
As per my sig I'm running the dominators, and they have massive issues with the striker
I'll also note that EPP is a sure way to screw everything up with the dominators. Best way to get a CPU init lock and stuck with a 4 hr clear cmos.
I'm ready to slap the ram into an HTPC and buy a new pair so long as it works.
EDIT:
I might just be stupid, but this is the first time I've had this level of issues, and my ram isn't on the qvl, so..
Yeah I like that house of mirrors in there...too bad it doesn't increase flow:ROTF:
Built another LC rig last night. I'll spare you the details. Have a look.

This thread always makes me happy in the pants.
CyberDruid,
IBM Clicky Keyboard ! The best keyboard ever made... and Logitech wouldn't know how to make a keyboard that great if it kicked them in the ass (I use a Logitech myself rofl).
Are you guys kidding us? This keyboard looks and probably sucks just as bad as my 10$ Logitech keyboard i have lying around!
I can see you are a man of taste and used to the better things in life:cool:

And there you have it...another CyberDruid creation.
cyberdruid this is like the 3rd rig this week!!!!
NICE WORK!!!
is that garden hose for water pipes cyberdruid?
???? thats not "garden hose".
its just got nylon braided in it for strength.... maybe he's worried about pressure? ;-)
it could well be;
http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/image/s_hosepipe.jpg
I am going to build a rig with garden hose pretty soon though...
No case: just a pipe frame work that actually is functional :p:
gonna use a lot of bibs on that too--all different kinds...
andof course 5/8 green garden hose.
BTW the polybraid is hold up a little better than Clearflex...it is very stiff and tends to get stiffer...but at the rate I rebuild my rigs it hardly matters. It makes the dye look really good though.
So..this is mine..it isnt anything special..just one thermaltake bigwater 735..(it will be soon changed with a custom watercooling,i hope...)..it is my first water cooling system.....now i "hided" the cables better.......
