Only the second one as well :)
GTL's need some work as I was using an old profile from one of the X5260's.

Golden touch in action again!
Found this on the drive still lol

I saw it already, not bad, 5.5 TPP! Yay! :D
Picked this up for a little fun. Got some Ballstix (hopefully D9) on the way also. Just need to dig out my TT Big Typhoon or Zalman Cu-7000 and get to modding.

Nice, I didn't find that mb on hwbot so there are some easy points!
Hi guys.
Out of school for the summer finally, which means one thing...
Back to overclocking :)
In a few days I look to fill up my dewar again and play some Phenom II 565 BE for 2x and 3x core scores...though I had trouble unlocking it lately which might be a bad sign.
Welcome back, Sam! I hope you had a good first year of college!
Same cpu as last time (#2) just simple GTL tweaking.

4640 froze fml lol
On another note I picked up a 4360 and waiting for an Impact + BBSE cold = easy XTU x2 WR incoming :D
No point in trying with the 4340 as as the refresh chip has a x37 multi.
Looking good, George!
I apologize for expecting the worst of the X5270! :D
Order some more LN2, Team Cup is coming! ^^
Thanks Dan, I am glad you were wrong :D
picked up a pair of 4360's yesterday, and tested the first one today.
Son I not disappoint lol

Well done!
No CB sounds great too!
Everything is frozen!!!
^^ this guy...crazy!
Fact :yepp:

News at HWBot about your new record: Haswell Refreshed and L0ud_sil3nc3 Sets New 2xCPU XTU Record with Core i3 4360 at 4GHz
Lmao that gif is awesome. Great job loud!
Almost got the mooseman lol

Skipped 56X all together :)

Time for XS to eat up more 3x core globals...all current records done on Crosshair V Formula which is crap efficiency across the board.
wPrime tweaks? Every time I try XP it runs like s***...the threads lag too much behind each other.
Benched my new lappy for TPP tonight.
over 3000!

Nice!
Dewar fill tomorrow...first time in a long time :D
Air testing with a couple chips tonight...
I'm glad you like it! :D
Congrats, 570 marks is great!
Do you run XP SP3?
Thanks for adding some TPP!
Congrats!
Can you share some results already?
Yes, SP3. I also tried SP2 and and TinyXP 9 as a base. I usually just use TinyXP for SuperPi, wasn't off from my own benching SP3.
Didn't get LN2 today, had some errands to run. Tomorrow!
I'll put up air results later when I get home as placeholders. :D
Dan, you're too impatient. I haven't done this for almost 12 months, cut me some slack! I need to optimize OS and efficiency on air first.
...so, GB Z97 SOC Force any good? Need to step up my Intel game and get all these low end GPUs benched. Probably looking at purchasing a Tek9 Slim to do that business.
Yes, Win 7 is better for me but still off from some guys' XP results...
Yes, only originally found 2 out of my 3 sticks of Hyper. Bothered me quite a lot. Turns out it was just buried under more RAM... what a fail on my part. Still no LN2, will go in the morning. Hope the guys give me a price break, they jacked me up to a whopping $0.75/L...I had been paying $0.50/L :D
Wow, with all those records, the board must be crap! I'd say Charles just has magical ES and anti BCLK OC powers.
There isn't really that much magic for WPrime that I know of. Maybe the Pros on our team know more! ;)
Good luck for getting a better price, though $0.75/L sounds fine to me... :D
@filmbot - AirGas in Bedford Heights, OH
The manager in Canton wasn't very nice, quoted me $3.50 / L and wouldn't sell to me under $2.75 because he was "taking a loss" under that price, total bull****, the guys told me they pay like $0.30/L from the supplier...
In case anyone was wondering why I hadn't posted any results, I can't get the CPU to unlock on the UD5. Going through different BIOSes tonight to try to find one that works. I have unlocked the CPU on ASUS boards without any issue but I noticed it wasn't working lately on MSI/Gigabyte 900 series
EDIT:
Change of plans, this board won't unlock this CPU period. :D
...nor will my MSI or Biostar 970 series boards.
Will you go back to ASUS now?
Or try an entirely different setup?
Going back to ASUS requires pulling a water cooling loop and 3 GPUs from a gaming build, though that board would be helpful. It will be a couple days.
I have an A6-5400K here too on ASRock M-ITX that could be interesting but it has terrible RAM compatibility.
If the CPU doesn't unlock on that board, I'll be stumped. I believe this CPU unlocked to 3 core on both my M4A89TD Pro and Crosshair V Formula but won't on any other boards I have here in the house.
Well I couldn't resist any longer and bought 2 Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500K cpus. I think these chips with a high multi will be a great match for my UT x48 mb. If not then I have a nice piece to add to my growing pile. The guy has 8 more....http://www.ebay.com/itm/151243434425 Seems like a good deal to me and soon I will add an unlocked Pentium G3258 to my collection.
k|ngp|n's Computex preparations condensed into a 120 seconds video clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z7sIoGCMwQ
Waiting on an order of Gelid GC-Extreme, will then prep up Crosshair V Formula and FX-8120 for AMD CPU OC %.
Will probably wait for Devil's Canyon before touching Intel.
I'm looking forward to seeing your scores! Maybe 8.1GHz?
I just pre-ordered an 4790K along with a GA-Z97X-SOC Force. :yepp: :yepp: :D
Good choice!
I hope you have some money left for the Pentium Processor Anniversary Edition chip. ;)

Thanks to leeghoofd for the picture.
New stepping to try
http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/...psf60d848c.jpg
Good luck with the new chip!
Meh. So far not any better than my current chip
looks tasty!
and here I am wasting time with 2x 2630v2...
Even if FX-8120 manages to beat Andre's record, let's say it does 8800, it's still ~184% overclock.
This is equal to Geode NX-1500 running at 2840, which it will definitely do with cold :p
Yes, this sample is not very good, but someone with good enough cpu will do 200+ %. No FX can touch that :/
That's what I wanted to say, not that I will win the stage (most probably not). Speaking generally, not 'bout my score.
Lowest clocked FX is 8100, which would need 8400MHz valid with 454MHz HTRef/FSB clock. I don't see that happening :p
Next in line is FX-8120 with base frequency of 3.1, which means 9.3GHz.
The best possible variant is Phenom II TWKR, but I don't think it's allowed.
Yeah, all FX should be unlocked, my bad.
Then it is easier, but still very hard in my book. How many would you bin to find a 8.4+ gem?
Every 1 MHz on a Geode is another 1% on top of the score. Not sayin' it is impossible, but it would require extreme luck or a lot of money.
I'd say - better bin Geodes.
Maybe there are other possibilities which I don't see atm.
Just sayin', I still want to see how far you can go with your FX-8120, it's about time you start benching again :)
PS: And sorry about hijacking this thread.
I have a watch on 6 of them. 8400 is a stretch, 8000 maybe not.
I don't think anyone cares about thread hijacking :P
Still don't know how you got async mem to work on DFI NFII ;)
I almost "killed my BIOS", took 20 minutes for it to post.
EDIT:
BIOS corruption finally put a halt to me...4 LEDs of death. :(
The stupid thing is that it happened using CMOS Reloaded (loading my saved OC profiles) and not from asynchronous memory divider.
Moving on, pulling out the Crosshair V Formula >: )
LOL, I thought you had two chips to bin, but now I get it, you're running a dual-socket setup. :D
No problem! ;)
I saw it on Facebook after being offline for a few days, I'm glad it's working again! :)
Look at the timestamps. :p:
Still dead. I'll keep trying but I really doubt its going anywhere.
EDIT:
Going to take some personal time off until July, no results until then. Sorry guys. I need a mental break with complications behind the scenes.
check out dat score :)
http://www.3dmark.com/sd/2173427
not amazing i know.. but with an h80i and referance block thats not bad at all?
Better than 97% of all results sounds great!
I have to admit, I have absolutely no idea about 3DMark Sky Diver... :D
Please welcome CL3P20! :welcome:
Welcome to the team CL3P20! I see you have been benching that new Pentium, looks good.
Ha just looked and your going for MOA, nice I hope you do well!
And so it begins, I just "glued" my first hs to an old gpu! The card is an ati x600 256mb pci-e. Next I have a nb cooler in mind....

Have not been as active as I like, and I have this posted in the Z97 OC Formula thread but this is what I have been up to:
G3258 madness!
http://i.imgur.com/vU5aUoi.png
http://i.imgur.com/jlzgZaQ.jpg
Is this the first G3258 you've tried?
How strong is the IMC on this one or on the G3258 in general if you've already tested more chips?
Who's great with a soldering iron? Who has a high end AGP card? Who has some great BH-5 or TCCD?
No there's not a trend to be asking these questions, just wondering! ;)
EDIT: Also interested in good Micron GTR/S (CSX).
#2 of 7, all garbage and I have not tested the IMC, as I found a very nice IMC on one of my 4790K's.
Got the Giga rolling with the help of youngpro and sofos, not quite 4000 but almost and all air cooled :)
Will test the same dimm under cold tomorrow.

I have good BH-5, TCCD and D9GTR, no D9GTS though! :p:
I'll let you know if I find anything on ebay.com! :)
Thanks, websmile and some others seem to be quite happy with the G3258's IMC. :)
The IMC on your 4790K seems strong indeed, 1930 MHz on air is nice!
Good luck for your LN2 session, I hope you can reach at least 2200 MHz!
This plus it came with an E8500 installed all for less than $100! I'm so happy that it works. Now I can use one mb (a gigabyte) to bench all my s775 cpus.
http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/...psb6520315.jpg
Not any FSB testing yet. I'm doing some last minute runs for the GIGABYTE Z97 Catzilla OC Challenge. As for D9s well I have one stick of D9LPF ss 1GB c6-6-6 hahaha maybe they will do 666MHz... but hey you never know right?
This Monday you boys are going to sh1t yourselves over new (to me) GPU. :D
I got a p55 up4 and i7 875k if someone wants to trade. I dont vintage overclock much.
I saw the 780 Ti score, nicely done!
You need some D9GMH to make the UD3P shine. The best D9GMH would be Crucial Ballistix 1066 16FD5, but these are hard to find nowadays, but if you don't have a kit of D9GMH yet, any kit will do. :)
I'll check ebay.com for you as well! :D
Same potato cpu I have tested with 3 different dimms (2x MFR, 1xCFR) and all max at the same. Wanted to make sure it wasn't voltages / settings hence 3 different dimms, but regardless, good old post code 23. Time to try another cpu.

dat close up of 23 lol
http://i.imgur.com/WYG0fpm.jpg
I could just slap catzilla in the mouth!!
A sneak peak!
http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/...psdf08f178.jpg
Oh its so nice and I think it was a good deal<$200! This is my 1st ever Asus product, hope it was a good choice. hahaha
Is this the same CPU that did 1928 MHz on air? Do you still have your old 4770K with the good IMC that did 2082 MHz?
What happened?
The GTX 580s are great cards, you'll have lots of fun!
I was fed up with it lol. I could run the bench fine with my max cpu MHz but then it would fail the "cpu" test when I oc the gpu hahaha man I even got some dry ice but never was able to save a good
run. Then I looked and the contest was over. LOL
I was able to bench am3 and catzilla 720p @5.4MHz. Almost can bench catzilla with my Crucials @1200 while am3 runs just fine.
I like the card a lot, looks like new! It's already my favorite piece of hw.
"BeepBeep2 - The Comeback" - Coming to theaters near you, August 9th.
AM3 is an extremely light bench nowadays. :yepp:
I saw you submitted the first result with the GTX 580 today, well done!
I hope you find a better one!
Did you try the G3258s' IMCs for max clock?
Can't wait! :toast:
I need more R9 290xs
Yeah I need one more. Id also like to get another with hynix as my other two are eplida.
sorry, my r9 290x is an elpida... and will probably go up for sale pretty soon.
Msg me your price
pm'd
Oh dang I may have ruined my SOC Force!!! Such a ham fist....I bent a pin slightly but it was easily fixed and worked fine after, ran max oc and 3d benches. Then I messed up and hit the socket again with the cpu and now when I power down all the fans run still, even the gpu fans. I have to turn the psu off to fully power down. Just reloaded both bios chips and still no change. Oh well I should still be able to bench with it idk. I also burned my thumb with dry ice.
If you can't fix it yourself, you can try contacting Gigabyte support and ask them if they can exchange the socket for a new one for a small fee, I think they can do it. Maybe someone from the U.S. already knows more about it! :)
When I used LN2 for the first time, I burned my thumb on a screw of my pot's mounting kit, so I can relate to that... ;)
