i wanna see 2.8 and 2.9ghz @ 1.65 or 1.7v i dont like 1.7v but ill do it since im on water...
but that will never happen not with this chip
im checkin the memcontroller on it now .....

yup cpu is a turd no better than the last one still have to hit 1.7v to run stable at 2.7ghz
what a crock of crap... bah... im done im going back to intel i think
woah this chip definately does not like 1.7v lol instant pi failure
dropped it down to 1.65 and she seems to like that better... hhmm
still searching for info on what revision this chip is but i figure its just a E6 that cpu-z dont know about or something
1.65v @ 2.7ghz better than my last one but damn why are those 3000's such massive overclockers.
all in all 1.65v 2.7ghz isnt bad but god dang it cant i get one friggin decent cpu out of all the ones i been thru
this thing better loosen up in a week or 2
lestat, i bet you would've gotten a better OC if you had gone with a 3000+! Why do you stick to 3200s? If you're still looking around for good venices, pm me.
LBBWE are E6 (...BWBOX)Quote:

he had ONE 939 Venice 3000+ haha
can't wait to see what it can do
Welcome hawkeyefan, nice stepping you have there, just make sure you let everyone know how well the OCing goes :)Quote:

I got a 3200+ aswell, doesnt like anything over 2.6GHz, and even with 1.66V it still isnt stable. It does 2.4GHz on stock volts, but once I got over I need like 1.65V  :dammit:Quote:

It's a 0516FPAW 3200+. :shakes:
cpu-z wont read the revision as ive stated but Everest says its a DH-E6. so i gues thats settled.
just wonder why cpuz wont read it.
lol @ absolute. wth do i have to lose bro let's talk.
Venice rev.E6 LBBWE 0531 EPEW maxed 2.48Ghz 1.6v stable TR XP-120 cooler
damn i thought LBBWE 0528 UPAW was bad at 2.7ghz...
you gotta have something set wrong on your ram or other voltages.. no way that chip is THAT bad... i dont believe it.
but then again i think AMD might be getting a bit tired of replaced fried venice chips :\
Naked 0523CPAW (Taking off its clothes didn't matter much...if any)
2x512MB OCZ Value PC3200 (Winbond UTT BH) @ 2.9V craps out @ ~230 :(
DFI nF3 Ultra-D
Thermaltake BT
Prime/OCCT stable @ 276xMHz

@ 1.6V 2.8GHz may be possible with a better PSU and other MOBO (I don't trust the temp readings on this MOBO).

looks like a decent one, but not overly fantastic (so far at least)
booted Windows 2600@stock (~1.345 actual)
booted/SP 1M 2700@~1.425
needed about 1.59v (actual) to complete 1M @ 2830
looks like it could go a bit furthur, waiting for better cooling to ship before I found out for sure.
currently Priming 2500@1.34v, 39load a little over two hours now
HUGE improvement over my Winnie so far! bastard needed ~1.587v to stabilize at 2.44ghz and auto-reboot at 2.62. Venice=same temps/Vcore under load and stock cooling=2.83ghz
FWIW, Cpu-z/MBM5/SpeedFan all report voltages ~.02 over what multimeter reports. the last screenshot is way off, under load CPu-Z reported 1.62v steady and Multimeter showed 1.595v. for some reason CPU-Z Vcore reporting tends to be all over the place until the CPU is under load, then it is steady.
this is almost the same results as my venice :p:Quote:

I got a decent OC with my current specs, I just ordered a DFI NF4 Ultra-D board, GeiL One series TCCD 2x512 Kit, and a Zalman Restirator 1 Plus wc kit so maybe I'll be able to get more then I am currently...

Why isnt this a sticky yet?
cuz the new Venice E6 chips totally blow monkey nuts
My 3200+ E6 (sorry forgot to take photo, don't know the week) goes stable to 2550 MHz @ 1.55 volts. At 1.55 V there is no 2.6 GHz, I didn't try higher volts yet.Quote:

I got the 3200+ because ewiz had it for $5 more than the 3000+.
I am not sure I am actually at 1.55 volts, monitoring reports 1.50-1.52. Need to do with voltmeter. Anybody knows where I put the voltmeter to measure this?
thats what im talking about
the E3 chips will run stock volts up to 2.5ghz and higher. usually not higher than 2.55 but its still stock volts.
all the E6's that i personally have seen and my own are just :banana::banana::banana:,, they dont go past 2.6 stable.
im losing faith in AMD, truly i am. when you can go buy a Intel 630 775 for 180 bucks from new egg that does 4ghz and higher with no problem well... im almost ready to go back intel... out of 5 amd chips i ahve had 1 that was ok,,, thats all it was.. ok. 3200+ CG Clawhammer 754 chip did 2.5ghz on 1.55v but no higher even on water. and i wish i still had it cuz performance wise, i have yet to have a chip that performed better than that one did. that 1meg L2 really helps. in this day and age im shocked AMD and intel still makes cpu's which such a :banana::banana::banana:ty L2 cahce of 512k its just rediculous and there wouldnt be any increase in production costs if they went all 1meg. the performance boost by doing so is something you can feel its just not a number.
Don't despair the new Opterons are kicking ass.....have a look at all the threads so far.......it's scary goodQuote:

Just because they gave somebody else a 2.7 GHz chip for $135 doesm't make my new FreeBSD cruncher go away http://www.cons.org/smileys/smile.gif
sorry but in the post i havent'seen these step:
0520bpdw
iso good for a 3200+?!
because the 3000+ 0520bpdw is tested for 2600 MHz on air at 1.50-1.55 Vcore!
but this step 0520..i don't now..in this post there isn't any same of this!
sorry for my bad english :(
What exactly are you trying to say?Quote:
